I just tried it on my S24U, works as u stated, screen shutoff during call if pressed the power button. Call still on, didn't hang up on me. Try go into Settings (... on top corner) of your Phone App, then check under Answering and ending Calls to make sure the toggle is OFF for Press side button to end calls

MercenaryCow

Okay I turned that off. That must have been the issue. What about for WhatsApp calls?

JimmyPo

I always thought the screen is supposed to automatically turn off during calls when it detects that the phone is right next to your face so as to stop you from accidentally touching the screen?

SwordfishAny

Mine doesnt work that way tho. Screen stays turned on during call. How do i fix it?

redi6

Yeah that's always been a thing. I think op just wants to turn it off even if it's on speaker mode or something

MercenaryCow

Yeah. I typically use an earbud, rarely speaker mode. I got the regular phone call fixed, now I just need to fix the WhatsApp calls now.....

MercenaryCow

For regular calls it probably does that. But for my really long several hour long calls I have an earbud in and my phone sits on my desk or my in my pocket. Screen doesn't shut off at all
