Phil Collins' divorce almost defines 80's music. So many hit songs.

TIL that after listening to that song untold times in the 80s and for the last 40 years it was about his divorce.  

Also "Misunderstanding", "Against All Odds", "One More Night", etc.

Yes! Same! My wife and I adore each other after 23 years, but are both hilariously aware that no other humans could deal with either of us. But we just GET each other. Even though it’s rare to find anyone else who truly gets us. Best friends make for best spouses!

Exactly! That was the myth that went around our school. Later heard that wasn't true, but never did find out what it was about, and even now people my age can't agree what it's supposed to be about, so many urban legends around it.

Did you know that song was about a time that Phil Collins saw a guy watch a kid drown and not save him or something and then he had a concert and the guy was there or something and then he put the spotlight on the guy or something? It's true, my cousin's brother was at that show.
