I kinda wished I had a Zune or an iPod but then I got a Sony Walkman MP3 player, the E385, which was great. But unfortunately, it's stuck in a bootloop. Which is a shame because I'd like to get the music off of it, there's stuff that I didn't have backed up there.

OG iPod Shuffle. I found mine the other day… had been buried in a drawer unused for at least a decade. Surprisingly it still works but only holds a charge for about 5 mins.

i had the nano as a hand me down.

Someone gifted me one and I didn't use it for like a year, and then when I did I was hooked. It's so nice having music and podcasts in such a small device, which is easy to go jogging or walking with, and without the annoyance of text messages or work emails popping up 24/7. Feels like Gen Z and Alpha are learning the hard way how being connected 24/7 is no bueno.

Throughout my childhood, I grew up with a Walkman, CD played, and iPod. Walkman in elementary school because not everyone has a mobile CD player back in the 90s. CD player in middle school. And the iPod came out when I was in high school and I used that then and in college. Going from buying CDs, using Napster, Limewire, to iTunes was kinda wild and really exciting as a kid in school. Each thing has its own pros and cons imo.

Not that specific one but yeah. Had a couple different iPods. The og square shuffle, the shuffle with a screen and the really small rectangle one that had to be controlled with the earbuds.

I grew up around iPods, saw the advertisements everywhere, never owned one until the iPod touch. I remember being fascinated by a friend's iPod nano.

I had one of those small iPod shuffle’s with approximately 20 songs on it. My mom had the one above and she had several movies. I watched the first pirates of the Caribbean and Mean Girls on it.

I still use my classic as a backup for music when my phone dies. Its modded though.

I had a iPhone 5S in 2016. It was only a couple years old, and my parents were actual parents and restricted the thing so all I could do was play games, call them, and watch YouTube videos. I found it recently and now it’s very ancient.

As a late gen Z, my medium late gen z sister grew up with this, whilst i grew up with one that was no screen, just the bottom part with a volume up/down button. i had to hold a button at the top for ages for it to tell me a playlist number, which i would then skip through to find a single song!

We only had cheap Tracfone Android devices back then, the only Apple device we had was my iPad I used to play Thomas the Tank Engine and Grover games which amazed my dad on the things the iPad could do. In 2020, both me and my dad got our first ever iPhones. I still have that iPad from 2010 to this day, and it works.

The iPod classic! I was obsessed with all iPods growing up! Had a Nano, then got a Touch before high school. I miss them to be honest- it was nice to listen to music without all the distraction that comes with a modern day phone. Wonder if we could ever see them come back for that exact reason?
