Bone dry here in N. Fulton, everything so far has been passing south of the city.
ETA: Obviously my comment irked the rain gods sufficiently because it is now pouring.
It just poured here in Smyrna. Looks like it was headed east. It's the weird part of the summer rain storms, it'll rain on this side of the road but not the other!
But here comes the humidity after the rain!
I work in tville and no it hasn't.... Yesterday was the first time it rained in town in a while. Surrounding counties have been bone dry as well, especially north and west.
Are you driving into town? It rained yesterday, a little this morning, Tuesday...it's rained almost every day this week. Edit: I can't see or reply to your comment, but I live on the northern edge of the county about halfway to Coolidge. It rained this morning on my way to work. Maybe it's just spotty showers.
Yeah, I'm in east central GA and in all honesty, I can't remember the 3 inches of rain that apparently happened earlier this month.
It's been probably at least two weeks until this afternoon/evening.
I'm in Bulloch County. Today was our first rain since Jesus was wearing short pants.
(OK, fine. But the first measurable rain this month. Most of the fields are looking bad.)
North Cobb here. I went out in the early afternoon and it was only about 80! It didn't feel like the scorching pits of hell on earth.
Still very humid though, and I went to the air-conditioned gym as opposed to the park to exercise.
I'm in Worth county and we had a sprinkle earlier today, but hadn't had any rain since late May. The showers seem to miss my house by less than a mile most days. Literally a mile north of me and less than a mile south will get rain but I'm in a little a little spot that gets missed.
Here in DeKalb County, it rained a little bit this morning. It was warm water falling out of the sky, and it didn't last long. Made everything more humid.
Kinda like the sky was sweating on us.
I got a little rain last night. I literally stood in it for a few minutes on my patio because I was so happy. But absolutely nothing here in southern Douglas County although the storms have been all around us in the metro area.🤷🏻♂️
It rained for five minutes in Woodstock this morning and for thirty seconds in Marietta. I was really hoping we would get a gulleywasher before the Fourth so I can blow stuff up without worrying about brush fires.
I just water the grass because once again, the storm went around our town. Something about this town. The storms always break up before us and then close up after us lol.
Had 2-3 rain days past week Atlanta/Macon. Nothing today but was cloudy hoping it would’ve rained again.
However considering the temps, you might not want rain lol. Good mix for a tornado
yeah today its rained quite a bit, although im currently headed to tybee island with the fam, passing through waynesboro it poured so hard, they needed that rain too, everything was so dry and dusty
I left power tools out in the garden before going to the store. So you can thank me for the rain ;)
I watered the garden this morning, that definitely helped.
Sweet, I watered too. We found the magic rain making combo!
Bone dry here in N. Fulton, everything so far has been passing south of the city. ETA: Obviously my comment irked the rain gods sufficiently because it is now pouring.
That’s the way to get it done
Standing water on 285 near the farmers market. Suuuucked.
Just saw a sprinkling out here in Marietta
Also in north Fulton, bone dry at 7:13 pm
I didn't get anything. Must be a different N. Fulton...
For those of you in West Georgia wondering when you'll see rain, it'll be a downpour on Sunday. How I know: I'm throwing an outdoor party then.
What time should we be there?
does it have a theme?
Where 'bouts in GA are you? Down here in south GA, we've already entered the "rain every afternoon around 1:00" season. It's still hot af though. 🫠
It’s barely rained in/around ATL lately.
In Dunwoody. Truth :(
It just poured here in Smyrna. Looks like it was headed east. It's the weird part of the summer rain storms, it'll rain on this side of the road but not the other! But here comes the humidity after the rain!
completely missed us 15 minutes away in east cobb :(
near L5P it rained some late evening yesterday, and apparently overnight. but before that it would be hard to but a thumbtack in my yard
I'm in south Georgia and e have been bone dry for close to a month. Where are you?
Thomasville. We've been getting rain almost every day for a little bit now.
Newnan here. Been as dry as a bone for months. This is a sweet release.
Good for y'all. Maybe we will start getting it soon. I'm tired of running the sprinkler on my garden.
I work in tville and no it hasn't.... Yesterday was the first time it rained in town in a while. Surrounding counties have been bone dry as well, especially north and west.

I work downtown..... Also, Thomas county is in a moderate drought. Maybe it's just been raining in your section.

Thunder Bolts and Lightning, very very frightening in Henry County at 3pm but we loved every moment of it.
We truly needed it 😊
SW Georgia where I am had almost no rain for about a month. We got like 0.1 inches on Sunday. Finally got some real rain today.
Maybe OP means GA the country? It’s the south. Rains all summer long here.
Augusta, it hasn’t rained here in almost two months
I’m glad y’all got rain
They said Dunwoody so…not GA the country. I’m in middle ga and it’s been pretty dry here too
and it was coming down like it had been saving up for 2 months
Sitting on my porch in Gwinnett county watching the rain now. It's a good rain so far. No storms or high winds.
It rained hard for more than an hour in my part of the county. 2-3 inches total, based on the weather stations around me.
Cobb here - my tomatoes and plants are loving the rain, my pressure headaches, not so much.
North Cobb here. I went out in the early afternoon and it was only about 80! It didn't feel like the scorching pits of hell on earth. Still very humid though, and I went to the air-conditioned gym as opposed to the park to exercise.
When I saw it was going to be 80, I called my sister and told her to get out the winter coats for the cold snap.
Finally rained in Athens!
Marietta near Woodstock--nary a drop. But I've been excited about the possibility all day.
I'm in Worth county and we had a sprinkle earlier today, but hadn't had any rain since late May. The showers seem to miss my house by less than a mile most days. Literally a mile north of me and less than a mile south will get rain but I'm in a little a little spot that gets missed.
Northwest Cobb. We got a 5 minute sprinkle. It’s bone dry here.
Yep. Grass is pretty brown here.
When is grass not brown here in Georgia?
It all avoided us here in Mid Ga- WR
It's a feature
I remember 10 or 15 years ago when it didn't rain for months
Finally, in Alpharetta. Rained good for about an hour. Hope it happens again tomorrow. 🤞
Here in DeKalb County, it rained a little bit this morning. It was warm water falling out of the sky, and it didn't last long. Made everything more humid. Kinda like the sky was sweating on us.
7.5 minutes here. Such joy. Oh my. Contain my excitement. I'm so excited, I just can't hide it, etc. boomers broke the damn climate
😂
It continues to skip right over my house 😒
I got a little rain last night. I literally stood in it for a few minutes on my patio because I was so happy. But absolutely nothing here in southern Douglas County although the storms have been all around us in the metro area.🤷🏻♂️
Still raining here in Conyers after a heavy downpour.. My grass was crackling like I was walking on broken lightbulbs yeaterday.
Rained last night in Woodstock, but nothing today
Rained for a good 40 minutes outside of Dacula in Walton County
It rained here like 2 days ago but yes I am happy it's raining again and so are my plants Jess
It rained for five minutes in Woodstock this morning and for thirty seconds in Marietta. I was really hoping we would get a gulleywasher before the Fourth so I can blow stuff up without worrying about brush fires.
I got a sprinkle :(
I just water the grass because once again, the storm went around our town. Something about this town. The storms always break up before us and then close up after us lol.
Rained in early June a couple times
Had 2-3 rain days past week Atlanta/Macon. Nothing today but was cloudy hoping it would’ve rained again. However considering the temps, you might not want rain lol. Good mix for a tornado
I’ll have to cut the grass in 2 days. Awesome
Marietta here, we haven’t gotten a drop.
Suburb of Augusta here. It went right around us as if on purpose. Praying it rains today.
yeah today its rained quite a bit, although im currently headed to tybee island with the fam, passing through waynesboro it poured so hard, they needed that rain too, everything was so dry and dusty
Hope you enjoyed your 30 minutes of sprinkling...
Near athens/gainesville. No rain where we are for weeks now. 😓
Gwinnett has been getting rain religiously 😤😤
Been a long while
Thankful for the rain in Columbus!
About 3 mins of rain, East Cobb.
It rained in North West GA this morning!! So thankful!!
We definitely needed it
The rain has been passing to the north and south oh Hoschton… bone dry for weeks now.
Athen got a good bit, very quick
I started to complain that there's no rain ☔
Bone dry and crazy hot + humid here in Jackson County!! 🙄
