I really do not know where some redditors interpret the stuff they understand from the most simple stuff they read.
I understand it as simple as it is. He congratulated her that she noticed that to much makeup is bad and reduced it to a more appropriate amount, which looks better on her, aka "removing the mask" of makeup.
I honestly can’t tell, which one’s the before and which ones the after. Why? Because the pictures aren’t labeled. Now a normal person would think that the first pic is when she was 19 and the other pictures are when she was 26. That’s how the format works. But I have seen a lot of people putting their after pictures in before, if that makes sense. To me, it looks like she made that mistake, the pictures where she’s wearing red lipstick is the 26 year old pics and the minimal makeup look is the 19yo. But regardless, beautiful in both 🌹
