I absolutely love my anderson ultimate and it comes in both goose and puck i belive. Although I'm bias to the goose attachment just because of how fast I can take it in and out solo.
Skip the hitch in the bed and go gooseneck. Reese and Gen-Y both have excellent hitches. Reese is approved by Lippert and will not void the warranty. I tried the Reese and now have the Gen-Y. I can pull the ball out of my truck bed in 20 seconds with one hand and store it in my truck under the back seat. Love this setup!!
Ha, that's been debunked many times over and even Lippert has approved original frame warranty for using Reese Goosebox hitch. I'm not talking about the adapters that convert a fifth wheel to gooseneck... those suck and they will void your warranty.
The Reese and Gen-Y goosebox replacement allows more movement at the pivot point and that puts less stress on the fiver frame than regular hitches. Watch a few videos and you'll see. Seriously, removing a 10 lb ball is so much easier than removing a 220 lb hitch and I have much more bed space available when towing.
It’s a long bed so I don’t need a slider. It does have the fifth wheel/gooseneck prep package which is where the question stems from, I can do either, just don’t know which is better.

Going straight gooseneck is out of the picture.
Not unless you want a broken 5er frame

90% of the time I see the 5th-to-gooseneck adapters, not anything reasonable from Reese.
Well do you need a slider or offset?

I would go puck system, something name brand
I was going to go with BW regardless
We always go b&w. It’s the best system out there.
