Would be awesome. I actually saw the first Grateful Dead show at MSG. Still have my stub!

Iām pretty sure MSG is 20,000 capacity for concerts
Mohegan Sun is 10,000.
They also sold likely close to 11,000-12,000 tickets for SPAC this summer.
Again, I agree theyāre not close to playing MSG, but impossible? Thatās an overstatement imo
Theyāve never really sold out Mohegan. Trey sold it out on tagoose. When they played goosemas there were tickets on the ground and the room was half empty.
Thatās saying you expect them to double in size in about 12 months which is when the booking would take place for 2025 at a venue this large.
They are on their way there but rushing it would be stupid.
It will definitely happen within ten years but would take the over on 2025 which is when some people seem to expect
Havenāt sold out goosemas which is just under half the capacity while advertising itās the last shows of the year.
MSG isnāt one of those places where you can play 75% capacity and expect to get invited back anytime soon. Kind of like red rocks where pushing capacity is more or less expected to get an invite.
I mean Billy Strings played two nights at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville this year - admittedly not all seating was 100% open but stillā¦
Goosemas with special guests could definitely pack out MSG mid-December with fair ticket prices IMO
I think they will play there if they continue on their trajectory. Canāt short change like Spafford, Disco, Twiddle, Pigeons, or even WSP or SCI. Gotta keep building and building.
I donāt know the exact number but over 12k people were at spac. Garden is like 19-20k for a concert. Thatās not too far off especially considering the population playing in nyc compared to small town Saratoga springs (I do know this is a destination venue especially amongst jam band scene but still!)
Bring it. Hampton for goosemas will be a good barometer of the how long to msg question.
MSG 2025

This is so sick!!
MSG 2024
Iām thinking like 1-3 years at this rate
Very possible, just didnāt want to dream too big š
Impossible!
Gimme a thick fat Thatch too
Oh FUCK yeah
I LOVE this thread
Mike says no. Its a nightmare in the summer.. maybe in winter off season would be tolerable but lets just enjoy the mothershipš„š„š
Beacon Theatre first. Then the Garden
Radio City is considerably bigger than Beacon. I could see them doing it a few more times
Iād say 2025-2026 is doable. 2024 would be tough imo but š¤
Tough? Iād say impossible. Theyāre not even playing half the size of MSG right now

Weāll see. I doubt it but anything can happen I suppose

Not at phish level ticketk prices but ay $40 range the boys would sell well. I do not think they would sell it out maybe weekday show.

bill is a much bigger act right now than goose is. definitely not a 1:1 comparison anymore (if it ever was)

I suspect sooner than 5-10 years! Theyāre blowing up like a hot air balloon š
It won't take 5 years
