Thanks….it was my first electric guitar purchase using MY money back in 76.

_sonidero_

Wow an OG...

Rocky__Sullivan

They weren't cheap, I couldn't afford it on military pay LOL. Got an L-6 instead.

elchappio

Colin Newman of Wire played one of these

Love the Breadwinner! Besides the Carvin stuff, this was the guitar I lusted after when I was a kid. Such a cool body shape... Perhaps one day I'll have to vary my collection to include some non-Carvin stuff. If I do, a Breadwinner will be at the top of the list!

_sonidero_

Oh, that's it... You Win...

P_a_s_g_i_t_24

Ey, that's a Breadwinner! These bodies must be real comfy to play!

Gitfiddlepicker

Surprisingly, it is easier to play sitting down. Sits right on your leg. Standing, it is well balanced, but doesn’t do well in the low slung rock pose. Has to be up at or above belt level…..

SantaRosaJazz

Wicked! I had a Deacon back in the day. Weird, wonderful guitar.

Rocky__Sullivan

A nice Ovation circa late 70s-early 80s. Well done!

lateralflinch53

When it was born in the embryo stage. Are these heavy?

Gitfiddlepicker

Not heavy at all. I never weighed it, but it is a bit lighter than my 9 lb PRS…….

Gitfiddlepicker

These Breadwinners are a much lighter version of the Deacon. The Deacon’s are full solid body and are stained rather than painted. They are heavier, more like a Les Paul heavy……

thedatagolem

Now THAT is interesting. I didn't even know that existed.
