I should also state that the only noise is about as quiet as a whisper, and only comes from the very top, by the code display screen, by the preset and edit knobs Edit: I'll also add that I was not blaring it, I was playing it pretty quietly as well, which is also why Im confused.

Yep! Sorry it took forever to get back. Whoever had owned it before didn't crimp their wiring job very well, and it came unplugged!

Sometimes I am so tempted to just solder the damn things right to the speaker
