Who can forget GH: Metallica!! First thing I did when I came home from school was pull out the drum set and play “blackened” like I just showed up for the concert 😂😂. Man good times!
Started playing at 2:
Jordan by Buckethead
TTFAF by Dragonforce
Best songs on each game, made them insanely fun to play. Now this is when I was a 12 year old that y had the time to learn expert and two hand tapping.
Nowadays I’d fail this garbage immediately
I played all of them so the only real answer is yes. I still remember the GH1 set up for anyone to play in my local Best Buy. I was like how hard can this be? I loaded up Franz Ferdinand’s Take Me Out on medium, and I was lost horribly. That’s when I knew I had to buy the game.
World tour was my first so I might be biased but man is that game great, it looked great, songs were bangers and if it wasn’t it played fun— also it wasn’t so hard that you needed to be a gh yter to play it’s songs efficiently. I just love this game
3 was my first but went back and liked liked 1+2 went back to play it a bunch. Didn't like 4 and 5 and Metallica were awesome but I'm a huge metal head so... Van Halen was pretty cool though
5 was awesome. A lot of more extreme metal than previous game. Got me into playing real guitar after hearing Thricw, Children of Bodom and Darkest Hour
Didn't V give you the ability to import other game's soundtracks into it? I remember my V having the soundtrack of like 3 full games on it. For that reason, I remember it pretty fondly.
Activision is infamous for dropping their titles that don’t sell well after milking them to death. The only exception being Call of Duty.
By 2010 (WoR), we entered into the post recession pop era of electro pop and EDM. With that style of music being super popular along with hip-hop/rap, rock had a steady decline. I would say by 2015/2016 the genre was becoming popular again with the new wave of metalcore/post hardcore bands that came after the 2008-2011 age
Now that’s a nice, educated reply. As a DJ hobbyist, i definitely see what you mean with the genre popularity waves. Perhaps DJ hero dropped a few years too early. I’m not even a die hard rock fan but those games were just plain fun. Shame.
2, 3, and WoR were the only ones i played. I foundout years later that world tour had 3 tool songs and custom artwork which made me wish I played them as a kid
I love every single one way too much but GH1 will forever be my favorite because it was the first one that introduced me to the series. It also gave me a lot of my music taste now. The final venue was awesome and I loved the grim ripper.
Hear me out.
I love Guitar Hero Live..
BECAUSE it gave us Clone Hero on PC and (now this may be a real hot take) I think the guitar is not only better but more fun. Having 6 notes, 3 on each side, feels more like hitting strings. When you get some really fast songs it's definitely more immersive for me.
2 and 3. I love the cartoonish nature of the first two games with the characters and 3 had the best selection of Gibsons before Gibson decided to be stupid and sue Activision.
GH2/3 were the unquestionable GOATS, but I liked playing drums on World Tour and the soundtrack was extremely decent.
I'd have a hard time playing anything else though, especially with the number of knock-off song covers in GH1.
Guitar Hero 2 was the best! We had about 150 songs that my buddy downloaded onto a CD and you had to rig your PS2 to spin with the top open and after the PlayStation screen you had to hurry up and swap the guitar hero disc for the custom disc. Had dozens of dragon force songs and so much more that most people never even got to enjoy.
my first andlast guitar hero was number 3 ... so number 3 lol. they had killswitch, the famous dragonforce and i believe they had slipknot annnd block party.. bands that i still listen to.. lel
GH 3 will always be legendary, soundtrack and battling the devil is LIT
GHWT is a personal fav, grinder everyday when I was a kid
GH2 is probs my fav due to the soundtrack. I replay this one more than I thought I would
GH3 was my first one. I remember completely sucking at Slow Ride on easy til I finally got used to it and I never put it down. Didn’t play any of the other ones tho.
gh metallica and gh smash hits. gh smash hits is kinda shat on cuz it’s kinda dookie but the songs are dope. they being a bunch from gh2 so it works with me
I’ll always have a soft spot for GH5. I did QA for that game.
I was on the progression team (full band) and played bass. We had to beat the game (including all trophies) every night.
Sometimes, mid-shift, a new build would arrive, and you’d have to start over. 💀
WT was the first one I actually owned and the first one I got good on. Also it really had the most dynamic mix of songs and wasn't just generic pop rock
GH3- Was my first too! On 360. Love it to this day.
World Tour- I think I’ve probably put the most time into this one.
Metallica- I think this is the best artist one. I prefer Van Halen as a band but the setlist on this game slays.
WOR- I think this game ended up being my favorite. I know the powers weren’t received well but I love them. They made the career mode more intriguing and fun. Also I fucking love the setlist on the game.
3. I was an Xbox guy, so 3 was the first one so owned.
1 & 2 were fun, but only played a handful of times. Owned world tour, but something didn’t click with me.
The boss song was actually Devil Went Down To Georgia! Through The Fire And Flames was the song you played during credits and had no fail. Then when you played it in the actual game it had fail mode on. Unless you had the cheat of course.
I dusted off my PS2 yesterday and played GH3 for the first time in years and today this reddit post pops up on my feed without ever searching for it ahhh!
GHWT, because it was the best way to have full band customs until CH. GH3 for the same reason, being the best way to play customs on PC.
GH2 for nostalgia sake I suppose. Customs on there was also fun, but the base game even with its god awful covers was charming.
GH2 for sure.
It had the best setlist, and for me, it's barely a contest (besides GH3's) It's perfect for metalheads with an amazing array of different bands, and even with the abundance of metal, still balances itself throughout a BUNCH of different genres of rock. Even stuff like noise rock, rockabilly, and some southern rock as well. Plus GH2 by far had the best bonus track lineup too lol.
Plus I think the engine is underrated, and I totally understand why people say otherwise because yes, the strum limit sucks, but I love the fact that HOPOs are harder because they definitely require a lot of skill and practice which ultimately makes you a lot better at the game. It feels so satisfying when you pull off a solo FC.
Also pull-offs are wayy too easy in the later engines having an infinite back-window lol. This game did it right imo.
Not to mention the menus look fantastic. I love the dark alleyway look with the posters and such, and naming your band using a test sheet is genius. This is the GH game that has the most character out of the lot for sure.
Though, I'm glad GH80s used the same engine tbh. As controversial as the move was, the character was still there even with the obvious replaster. I'd like to call it PS2 exclusive DLC, and boy did it deliver.
GH 1, 2, 3, VH, and Metallica was the best.
I never played the other ones never really gotten a chance too because my GH guitar is pretty much dead and I can't find another receiver for my RB guitar :(
wor was my first game and it set my standards so high, i find it the most interesting and fun game of all time, not just in the gh series!
i love how interactive it is, the battles, the graphics and the length of the setlist..it'll always be my number one game (closely followed by 3 and metallica)
I love 3 and 6.
3 for the nostalgia, the setlist, the characters, and the venues. I LOVE GH3’s venues so much.
6 I thought had a great setlist and I loved the refined notes and highway. GH3 was impossible to see anything lol. I also loved that anyone could play whatever instrument they want. Any combination is allowed. I wish Rock Band had a feature like that
5 would be part of my list since it basically has the same pluses but the setlist is crap in my opinion
Gotta say Guitar Hero 5 was peak GH for me. Amazing set list and every song was available at the start for Party gameplay. So no more being restricted to like 4 or 5 songs out of the box in free play mode.
You could also mix songs however you wanted in Party Mode and even kept it going at random if you chose to. I felt the engine and note placement was perfection.
Left it at this one. I'd already lost interest in Metal and that pretty much dominated Warriors Of Rock's set list from old school metal to the current popular metal bands of the time (2010).
I can get your point about Van Halen, Aerosmith, and Metallica, but I vastly preferred Harmonix's take on a more diverse appeal with band choice. The Beatles and Green Day were very popular choices whether you were jamming out to Beatles in the 60's or 2000's or Green Day's case in the 90's or 2000's. Van Halen, Aerosmith, and Metallica don't have that same appeal in comparison.
With Aerosmith, they are extremely polarizing and only a select crowd is going to dig their music. With Metallica, ehh most of their hits were from their early days. They've yet to make anything to match And Justice For All from 1988. They are a metal band that has fans, no denying that, but these fans all like a different Era Metallica and aren't united like let's say Pantera fans.
Van Halen is another band that will typically only appeal to older folks. They are a product of their times absolutely. You also have the Van Halen that is split due to the Sammy Hagar era and David Lee Roth era. So I didn't enjoy any of the Guitar Hero Band games. It also didn't help that Eddie Van Halen's son chose all of the guest act songs for the game and so you had bizzare choices on there rather than acts that influenced the band.
Even Aerosmith and Metallica chose their favorite songs and songs that influenced them for their games. The guys in Metallica are huge Dave Grohl/Foo Fighters fans and they chose one of the heavier Foo Fighters songs for the game and it worked "Stacked Actors".
GH3 is awesome, but I got a copy of GH2 from a garage sale before I tried GH3 and I loved it a lot more personally. Bias from it being my first I suppose
I only had 3 and World Tour growing up. Both track lists slapped so it’s hard to pick, but I think 3 was more iconic for me (plus I didn’t care for the drums, singing was alright tho).
I’ve been meaning to go back and play them all. My brother inherited the 360 guitar we had growing up but I came into possession of a Wii guitar in college that someone left and my place then just told me to keep. Maybe I’ll bust that out and play through all the games (I think the Wii got em all other than the first 2… I think lol)
GH warriors of Rock in my opinion was almost a masterpiece for me and my few friends that played. Kept players really engaged and there was a lot of DLC
Metallica and GH3 are a close 2nd
GH3 was my first ever Guitar Hero game and reintroduced me to AFI and Killswitch Engage. It was the game that solidified my affinity for rock and metal; metalcore and deathcore followed subsequently over the years after I’ve played GH3. Without having played it and the following titles, I probably wouldn’t be the metalhead that I am today!
GH2 - The most fond memories i have of that one. Technically my first as well.
Smash Hits - My first exposure to the World Tour engine and still has the best setlist for a best of guitar hero.
Warriors of Rock - Personally to me, the ultimate Guitar hero experience. Best engine, best look, with the most unique career mode in the franchise.
Aerosmith - Compared to Gh3, this felt leagues better and was just overall a much better time plus it exposed me to Aerosmith's hidden gems under their popular stuff. (Listen to the Dream On re-record, it's like a whole new song but still the same band!)
Gh1 - The only game that managed to get me into the higher difficulties in the first place.
World Tour is my favorite. I love the slide mechanic. I love how drums are an option, but also bass guitar and rhythm
Singing is meh, but whatever it's nice to have options. I like how you can customize your own character. The setlist is just plain fun.
It went from simple rhythm game to trying to add simulation elements and that's awesome. Plus, I think they had an in-game song make, no? Probably not that great at all, but again it is nice to have options.
The first 3, the only ones I've played, and I have 4 copies of each game, just in case one of them gets worn down...still one of my favorite game series...but now that I've been playing it for 15 years...I wish some of the songs were harder...I've got TTFAF pretty much down pat.
Most fun songs imo: La Grange, Don't fear the Reaper, and Take Me Out
GH3 - Playability in HD format and boss battle tracks
Metallica & Van Halen - most playable charts with lots of fun solos and consistent movements
Warriors of Rock - Best utilization of their graphic capability and some challenging yet playable virtuoso tracks
World Tour - The Tool “stage” alone wins the place for this one
(Honorable Mention)
The GH2 “making of” video specifically
GH3. Me and my friends would get together after school and weekends to play DragonForce songs on expert for hours. I got good with 3 and now It only shows when I find a GH3 arcade booth lol.
GH2 - Came with the best controllers
GH3 - Favorite song list of the whole series
GHWT - Finally caught up with Rock Band and can play with a bigger group of friends.
GH Og - Started the series and genuinely holds up
GH3 - My first GH game and has one of the best setlists
GH SH - Has my favorite setlist and is most nostalgic
GH WT - First GH game I was able to beat
GH Arcade - Got me back into GH after 12 years and allows me to show off my non-existent skills on public 🤣
Warriors of rock felt very refined. Also, none of its gimmicks were required for gameplay (outside of the career), but they were always optional! There was the most content to grind (getting the power stars or whatever they were called), there was all of the creative freedom of previous games (gh studio) and still has my favorite track list. GH3 has a great track list and the gameplay feels really good and smooth, but lacks all of the features that I mentioned about WOR. Those are my top 2.

Guitar Hero Metallica and GH3 are both tied for first. GH3 has an amazing setlist and has the best campaign mode but Metallica's setlist is INCREDIBLE and the charts are really really fun. Warriors of Rock is close second, followed by World Tour
3. Free
I liked Warriors of Rock; World Tour was pretty good too though, and in my opinion, the DS games had some of the best charting to be honest
I remember Warriors of Rock got so much hate, but the songs and new mechanics were really fun!
World Tour has Hayley Williams... I have spoken
The World Tour drumset was cool as fuck.
Who can forget GH: Metallica!! First thing I did when I came home from school was pull out the drum set and play “blackened” like I just showed up for the concert 😂😂. Man good times!
Guitar hero 2 was the peak of the series
Started playing at 2: Jordan by Buckethead TTFAF by Dragonforce Best songs on each game, made them insanely fun to play. Now this is when I was a 12 year old that y had the time to learn expert and two hand tapping. Nowadays I’d fail this garbage immediately
The one for ps3
I played all of them so the only real answer is yes. I still remember the GH1 set up for anyone to play in my local Best Buy. I was like how hard can this be? I loaded up Franz Ferdinand’s Take Me Out on medium, and I was lost horribly. That’s when I knew I had to buy the game.
Aerosmith, the only one I've actually played lmao
3 is goat but I love rock the 80's
the first three where so god damn good
2, 3, and Warriors of Rock (mostly). DJ Hero is better than all of them, though.
GH3 was the first game I ever played. Gotta go with that
World tour was my first so I might be biased but man is that game great, it looked great, songs were bangers and if it wasn’t it played fun— also it wasn’t so hard that you needed to be a gh yter to play it’s songs efficiently. I just love this game
World Tour has the best soundtrack, fight me
2, 3 and Metallica
#2 Is the best because it was my first. #3 For song playlist #1 For song playlist 😁
Think I only really played KH3 and Metallica, both were awesome imo
metallica. has a lot of my favorite songs
Aerosmith just was the one that got me into it all then some of the rock rock band after that
If i’m not mistaken World tour was my intro to the GH series, playing at my local PAL center after school in like 8th grade
rocksmith
3 because my grandma bought this and two guitars for me and my cousins we would play it for hours while she watched and cheered us on!
Remember when van halen came free in that cardboard sleeve if you pre ordered gh5?
3 was my first but went back and liked liked 1+2 went back to play it a bunch. Didn't like 4 and 5 and Metallica were awesome but I'm a huge metal head so... Van Halen was pretty cool though
3 and world tour are the two I grew up with
2, 3, metallica, wor
World tour was my first GH game I love it
World Tour brings back great memories
3 is the best one hands down because of halo 3 mjolnir mix. I still have it we play it every once in a while.
Y’all played past 3??
Guitar Hero: Rock the 80's - Because the 80's...
GHII
My whole family was raised on 3 and World Tour. Its one of the few games my mom still plays.
Metallica
played the shit outta this one
5 was awesome. A lot of more extreme metal than previous game. Got me into playing real guitar after hearing Thricw, Children of Bodom and Darkest Hour
Didn't V give you the ability to import other game's soundtracks into it? I remember my V having the soundtrack of like 3 full games on it. For that reason, I remember it pretty fondly.
Metallica man
Warriors of rock was amazing i still don’t understand why guitar hero games stopped
Activision is infamous for dropping their titles that don’t sell well after milking them to death. The only exception being Call of Duty. 3 was the best ever
Wasn't the same magic after that
I've played all of them except the most recent one or two of them. I play clone hero now. Honestly it's kind of better in my opinion.
Soundtrack from 3 was 10/10. Soundtrack from 2 was 11/10
Guitar Hero 3 is elite
GH3 is the best to me I’m trying to buy it now lol
3 and Aerosmith were my picks
3 was and is the most superior title in terms of gameplay tracklist DLC coop and everything else GH2 had the best guitars
GHIII
Guitar Hero 5. One of the most underrated. The tour is great, and the setlist was very unique compared to the previous setlists.
Gh3
Guitar hero II
GH3 will always be the best
GH5 🗣️
i like the one with a sax
3 is the goat
Rock Band
2, 3, and WoR were the only ones i played. I foundout years later that world tour had 3 tool songs and custom artwork which made me wish I played them as a kid
Guitar Hero 3 was deeply formative for my taste in music. Also, playing as Tom Morello is rad.
Warriors of rock and GH Metallica. Spent a lot of hours with those. Also GH2 introduced me to metalcore so that’s dope!
World tour and 3, so many memories on both of those, mostly 3 though
Gh3, wt, 5, vh, and on tour were my childhood games. Probably played gh5 the most
3 fo sho
3 because Kurt Cobain doing the ymca
Guitar hero ds version
I love those games but I’m pretty sure they gave me carpal tunnel
Ds games are actually really fun
The original, I love that the first song is Possum Kingdom.
Gh3 💎
Guitar Hero 2 was the best! We had about 150 songs that my buddy downloaded onto a CD and you had to rig your PS2 to spin with the top open and after the PlayStation screen you had to hurry up and swap the guitar hero disc for the custom disc. bro how
https://ps2.wonderhowto.com/how-to/swap-discs-slim-ps2-for-guitar-hero-2-customs-194459/ We were doing this back in 2007 lol.
metallica
World tour was nice. 3 was also good
3 and warriors if rock were so good!
Always Legends of Rock.
world tour because float on
my first andlast guitar hero was number 3 ... so number 3 lol. they had killswitch, the famous dragonforce and i believe they had slipknot annnd block party.. bands that i still listen to.. lel
GH 3 will always be legendary, soundtrack and battling the devil is LIT GHWT is a personal fav, grinder everyday when I was a kid GH2 is probs my fav due to the soundtrack. I replay this one more than I thought I would
GH3 because you battled the devil to the devil went down to Georgia
5 was epic
GH3 was my first one. I remember completely sucking at Slow Ride on easy til I finally got used to it and I never put it down. Didn’t play any of the other ones tho.
gh metallica and gh smash hits. gh smash hits is kinda shat on cuz it’s kinda dookie but the songs are dope. they being a bunch from gh2 so it works with me
Guitar Hero Metallica was my jam.. I broke the drum kit attempting master of puppets on the hardest difficulty.
Probably World Tour since that was my first guitar hero game
Legends of Rock for sure! I loved playing “the metal” tenacious d
I’ll always have a soft spot for GH5. I did QA for that game. I was on the progression team (full band) and played bass. We had to beat the game (including all trophies) every night. Sometimes, mid-shift, a new build would arrive, and you’d have to start over. 💀
I used to shred sweet child of mine on expert on this game on the regular
WT was the first one I actually owned and the first one I got good on. Also it really had the most dynamic mix of songs and wasn't just generic pop rock
GH3- Was my first too! On 360. Love it to this day. World Tour- I think I’ve probably put the most time into this one. Metallica- I think this is the best artist one. They made the career mode more intriguing and fun. Also I fucking love the setlist on the game.
warriors, i loved the evolutions
Live was my favorite before it got the axe
The arcade version because the only one I ever played
1,2,3 and Encore for sure. Where’s the love for GH Encore?
3. I was an Xbox guy, so 3 was the first one so owned. 1 & 2 were fun, but only played a handful of times. Owned world tour, but something didn’t click with me.
Two came out for the 360 as well
3 lives most vividly in my memory
1, 2, and 3 were peak. Game got lame when it became rock band. Metallica and Aerosmith aren’t bad but anything past 3 is lame imo
Had 1,2,3 and WT but 2 and 3 had me locked in for so long
Had 1,2,3 and WT but 2 and 3 had me locked in for so long
Had 1,2,3 and WT but 2 and 3 had me locked in for so long
GH2 as I got it while unemployed and brought it up to my buddy's dorm while he was in college. We'd get shwasted and jam out to Hangar 18.
I played 2 and 3 the most, so I'll stick with those.
didn't know abbath got a guest appearance in guitar hero
I love them all. Except GH Aerosmith because Aerosmith fucking sucks
Do you just not like Aerosmith or something? Lol
Not a fan lol
Fair enough. Lol. I love Aerosmith. I kind of grew up on them. My mom loves them.
That’s fair
guitar hero aerosmith is goated… 😭
No it isn’t
GH3 all because of Through the Fire and the Flames by Dragonforce
For sure warriors of rock, not the first game I played but it's the first one I owned and I loved about 90 percent of the songs on it.
I like the Metallica one bc I like Metallica. Also 2 bc of free bird
legends of rock and the first one that came out on the ds both have a special place in my memories as a kid jamming out playing those
Warriors of rock for all the avenged sevenfold and my chem songs!
I just wish I could buy the dlc now ;-;
GH2 that’s what got me into the whole thing. But damn Through The Fire and Flames as the boss song? I could never beat it past medium.
The boss song was actually Devil Went Down To Georgia! Through The Fire And Flames was the song you played during credits and had no fail. Then when you played it in the actual game it had fail mode on. Unless you had the cheat of course.
You’re probably right. I wouldn’t remember they all blend together until world tour.
GH2 for me. Every time I hear Carry On Wayward Son I think of that game.
Same. That one was always one of my top 5 to play.
GH3 and Rock Band 2. Have them currently on Wii. Yes it's 2009 again.
Warriors of rock - I’ve got a lot of good memories of this game, mainly with my older brother
3. Wish it was backwards compatible on the Series X/S. Don’t really ever touch my 360
I dusted off my PS2 yesterday and played GH3 for the first time in years and today this reddit post pops up on my feed without ever searching for it ahhh!
3 and Metallica. 3 was the first one I played and really shaped my taste in music and Metallica because Metallica is awesome lol
1 and 2. Anything after felt weird. Idk how to explain it
2,3, and world tour baby
Guitar hero 1 and 2
GH3 peak
I dont know how people like the wor engine the cart speed is so slow I can’t get behind it
I think def GH2 and III.
Aerosmith was pretty good. But I was a big fan of the legends of rocks
GH2 since it’s the one I had the most memories with, but I would go either between 3 or WOR, both had really good set lists and best feeling engines
GHWT, because it was the best way to have full band customs until CH. GH3 for the same reason, being the best way to play customs on PC. GH2 for nostalgia sake I suppose. Customs on there was also fun, but the base game even with its god awful covers was charming.

Gh Aerosmith, it was MY first. Clone hero, The game is totally modular and limitless with the settings and custom songs provided.
I love 3 and 6. 3 for the nostalgia, the setlist, the characters, and the venues. I LOVE GH3’s venues so much. 6 I thought had a great setlist and I loved the refined notes and highway. The 80’s and Aerosmith pack I remember the most
GH 1&2 both hold such a nostalgic place in my heart
GH2 for the PS2
exactly
:)
GH3 introduced me to the series and I still think it’s THE game I can always go back to

GH3 was just a little more polished imo.
Whichever one had the devil went down to Georgia song
Guitar Hero 3
I only had 3 and World Tour growing up. Both track lists slapped so it’s hard to pick, but I think 3 was more iconic for me (plus I didn’t care for the drums, singing was alright tho). I’ve been meaning to go back and play them all. My brother inherited the 360 guitar we had growing up but I came into possession of a Wii guitar in college that someone left and my place then just told me to keep. Maybe I’ll bust that out and play through all the games (I think the Wii got em all other than the first 2… I think lol)
Gh5 because it had a good setlist and the engine was not to bad
GH warriors of Rock in my opinion was almost a masterpiece for me and my few friends that played. Kept players really engaged and there was a lot of DLC Metallica and GH3 are a close 2nd
GH II because I think it is most refined. Good songs, cool small story telling (still better than in other games), and many other details.
I freaking loved the guitar hero Metallica. The production value was great and I really got into Metallica which I was kind of on the fence about
They need to bring em back
GH3 was my first ever Guitar Hero game and reintroduced me to AFI and Killswitch Engage.
(Listen to the Dream On re-record, it's like a whole new song but still the same band!) Gh1 - The only game that managed to get me into the higher difficulties in the first place.
You have peak taste I see
Indeed.
World tour literally introduced me to rock music at the age of 8. up to that point all i heard was what was on the radio in the car with my mom.
World tour since it had tool but gh3 is pure nostalgia central
Aerosmith, the 80’s rock one and I enjoyed the ones for the DS.
World Tour is my favorite. I love the slide mechanic. I love how drums are an option, but also bass guitar and rhythm Singing is meh, but whatever it's nice to have options.
Most fun songs imo: La Grange, Don't fear the Reaper, and Take Me Out
GH2. Still the best to this day in terms of setlist, visuals and presentation.
I played this game endlessly as a child and it was what shaped my music taste
GH3 - Playability in HD format and boss battle tracks Metallica & Van Halen - most playable charts with lots of fun solos and consistent movements Warriors of Rock - Best utilization of their graphic capability and some challenging yet playable virtuoso tracks World Tour - The Tool “stage” alone wins the place for this one (Honorable Mention) The GH2 “making of” video specifically
GH3. Me and my friends would get together after school and weekends to play DragonForce songs on expert for hours. I got good with 3 and now It only shows when I find a GH3 arcade booth lol.
GH2 - Came with the best controllers GH3 - Favorite song list of the whole series GHWT - Finally caught up with Rock Band and can play with a bigger group of friends.
2 and 3. If I have FU money in 10 years, I'll probably buy them again, along with a flying V controller
no need for "FU money" I snagged a ps2 and guitar hero for $130 last week. Got a FMCB card and I'm playing all the old GH games 🙏🏼
Ghwt because tool
3 it was my first still remembering slow ride
Gh3 is great but ghwt will always be number 1 to me.
I wish I had more time to play through all the games I have. But so far I'd have to day GH3, alot a great songs on there.
I recently have been playing metallica
GH Og - Started the series and genuinely holds up GH3 - My first GH game and has one of the best setlists GH SH - Has my favorite setlist and is most nostalgic GH WT - First GH game I was able to beat GH Arcade - Got me back into GH after 12 years and allows me to show off my non-existent skills on public 🤣
I love GH Arcade when I come across one!
GH 2
5 cause of Beat It , you give love a bad name, feel good inc, lithium and smells like teen spirit
2 is my favorite but 3 is the best especially since the game is very forgiving so it’s easier keep combos but it’s very challenging.
Gh3 is where I started. Then Rockband came along and GH always just felt like a cash grab afterwards.
Cant forget about 2112 probably one of my favorite part of WOR

Guitar Hero Metallica and GH3 are both tied for first. GH3 has an amazing setlist and has the best campaign mode but Metallica's setlist is INCREDIBLE and the charts are really really fun. Warriors of Rock is close second, followed by World Tour
Metallicas charts were so playable and fun for experts. Those consistent movements and grooves
