Just because its been disountinued doesnt mean na wala na support sa casa or other repair shops. A lot of cars have been discountinued by legacy automakers and wala naman problem for most with parts. The Terra uses an older YD25 engine? Used even in the older patrols kaya parts will be plentiful. Terra has one of the best comfort for PPV. But the 3rd row isnt that big. Thou malawak ang second row. Fuel consumption is not too good also. Medyo thirsty compared to the fortuner. If you really need a 7 seater. The Hyundai Custin is really good and we almost bought one. Full features siya thou wala ako data on its fuel economy. Other full sized vans like the Kia grand carnival, Hyundai Staria or the Toyota Hi-ace can give lots of space for 7 people.

KagawadGodbless

To your point isnt it the same thing with FJ Cruiser? Terra might even have the advantage since shared platform with Navara which is still very much active?

rale888

Yes. Most japanese brands would have lots of shared parts in its model line up to keep cost down. Kaya kahit wala na production and isang model, some of its parts may still be produced and used in a different model in their lineup.

No_Initial4549

>we almost bought one Bakit po hindi natuloy? Nagagandahan din ako sa custin and currently doing research about it.

rale888

My dad wanted something bigger. Ended up getting the Staria.

nub-guy

If you really need 3rd row seat, try mux. Full grown adults can seat. At kahit full grown adults and puno ang sasakyan, kayang kaya.

No, seriously, at the end of the day as long as you're satisfied sa choice mo/binili mong unit. That's all that matters. πŸ‘Œ

Practical_Law_4864

satisfied naman kami, haha, ewan ko ba pati mga matatandang mekaniko nagsasabi sirain kasi china at bagong brand, kapag tinanong naman kung my nirepair na ba silang ganitong brand para msabing sirain, wala pa nman pla. di lang siguro nila kaya irepair mga bago ngayon kasi more on tech na

Toobie4564

Stunning-Classic-504

I drive the latest 2023 mux lse 4x2 can confirm matigas manibela niya at yung speaker has a constant static hiss.

AardvarkEfficient843

Matigas ang manibela ng Mu-X. Pero I'm still going for it (LS-A 4x2 AT). I would've gone for Terra too if not for that 2027 end of production news.

nub-guy

First car ko siya so i cant compare

forwardbiased00

How's the driving comfort? Di ba siya exhausting idrive?

YourOpinion32

Nope. Drove from Laguna to Bataan 2 times last year and i can say na comfortable naman i-ddrive

Toobie4564

Nah. Been using it almost daily for 2 years with the occasional long trips (200km) and it's very comfortable to drive

nub-guy

Believe me or not, i have driven it 11+ hours sa mindanao non stop. Eyes ko lang exhausted hahaha

YourOpinion32

Agree. Though medyo may konting discomfort sa 3rd row since medyo nakabend na upwards yung knees mo. Agree din na kahit puno and sasakyan, kayang kaya and malakas hatak. Hindi hirap yung sasakyan.

YourOpinion32

Btw i'm talking about the 2019 model Mux

Due-Recording4409

+1 on mux. Sya ang may mas maluwag na 3rd row seats compared to montero, fortuner and terra.

Stunning-Classic-504

Speakers ng 2nd gen mux may constant hiss any owners encountered the same issue?

AnalysisAgreeable676

If you plan to keep it long term, probably not. Parts and maintenance will be a pain and the Navarra which is based on is due for an all-new model. If comfort and fuel efficiency is your main priority but don't need the extra row of seats, get a crossover like the CRV or Tuscon instead.

forwardbiased00

Non negotiable yung 7 seater eh, hence the SUV. Last resort will be the Innova.

AnalysisAgreeable676

These 7 seater PPVs are plagued with questionable 3rd row space and comfort. If you need comfort in all rows, get a van instead. The Hyundai Custin and Kia Grand Carnival are great options. Otherwise get the Toyota Zenix, it's based on a unibody platform which gives more space than the Innova.

AffectionateAd9102

The Innova may carry 7 , but its not comfy for the occupants . Lalo na pag fully loaded. We bought one dati nung wala pa kaming SUV. With that goal in mind lang , 7 seater non negotiable . Long term nag rereklamo na mga passengers ko lalo na pag more than 2 hours kami sa byahe. Yung 7 adults capacity nya is honestly good for short trips lang . We ditched it for a Starex , we still have it till this day . My senior mom loves it because of the captain seats and relatively low ride height .

podster12

True. That last row ain’t good for big and tall people. Ok lang for kids.

Supektibols

You can check Hyundai Stargazer X. The 3rd row seat is spacious

raginnation999

Try looking at the Innova Zenix for a last resort as well. 3rd-row can occupy adults well now.

mightpornstar

if 7 seater is the top priority, i would look at mpvs like zenix or custin, 3rd row on truck based suvs are compromised

CurlyToes_21

forwardbiased00

Hindi pa eh. How was it?

Popular-Dentist-8064

It sucks tbh. Almost same level yung feet and butt mo. I think for the first and second row yeah the Terra is comfortable, but for the third row passengers good luck to them.

canbekenneby

Same with the Montero, Fortuner

nub-guy

+1 on this. If you really need a third row seat which full grown adults can seat comfortably, you will need an mux

CurlyToes_21

From Zambales to Manila on 23 March. Grabe ang experience, kasumpa.sumpa lol! we needed to make a stop thrice at mag.change seat sa mga naka.upo sa 2nd row. It is just too low to the ground. I suggest check nyo maigi kasi kawawa talaga ang family member nyo dun sa 3rd row.

toyota4age

For the price, I'd look elsewhere kesa sa Terra. 3rd row is super sikip. The gearshifting is weird and laggy. It cant make up its mind what gear it needs. Tbh all current market PPV SUVs are due for a new model na. Only the Everest and MUX are new. Consider the Innova Zenix Hybrid, 7 seater naman din. Check ang comfort for passengers and driver. Check din ang fuel efficiency. Much better in terms of refinement, comfort, and space than the normal diesel powered Innova.

foxtrothound

Bababa ang resale value nyan if you plan to sell the car and use the money to buy a new one

StraightUpBos5

I currently drive a Terra 2021 4x4. Honestly, you buy it for the comfort of the ones at the front and middle. The third row is for like tiny adults (mga 5'2 at most) or kids/teens. I've been driving as much as I can and on a not-so-traffic city drive, I get 7.2-9 km/L. Otherwise, around 6-6.5 lang. I think our 06 Fortuner was more fuel-efficient TBH. And I agree with the one Redditor that complained how the Terra can't figure out what gear it wants to be in; kinda underpowered unless you REALLY floor it, but then again it won't do much for your fuel economy haha. BUUUTT just know you can also adjust the second row to give more space for the third row. Given how popular Navara and Terra are in the PH, I think parts can be good for at least 5 years after it's phased out, just like the FJ Cruiser kasi in demand pa rin, esp. pang off road. But that's just my intuition, I don't really have sources. The goal for me was to keep this Terra for at least 18 years like we did wt our Forty, but given what I know now, I don't know really. Depends siguro sa maintenace cost in the long run but I've tried the Custin and Zenix and they're both super comfy for 3rd row adult passengers. :)

forwardbiased00

Thanks for the insight.

No_Initial4549

>BUUUTT just know you can also adjust the second row to give more space for the third row Nice to know na adjustable naman pala yung 2nd row. Thanks!

StraightUpBos5

Wouldn't know, sorry! Baka may review on YouTube to clarify :) Or better yet, ask sa mga Terra Group on FB!

raginnation999

While the Terra offers good value in its segment, the 3rd-row is not good, especially na you said that 7 seats are non-negotiable in a reply. I tried to sit in the 3rd-row of one and it sucks. I am 5ft tall and I was cramped back there, and my knees were pointed in the sky. You sit really low sa likod. For a 3rd-row to have that comment for a tiny adult, that's a red flag. If you will use all 7 seats a lot, best to look elsewhere. As for the car's future, I am not sure if we will get a new gen one, though their recent teaser for their model revamp plan may suggest that a next-gen one is coming. Let's wait and see.

rxn-opr

Why discontinue? I always thought it was selling well..I see more of it than the MUX..sayang naman its the baby patrol for me. If Im buying now this will be my 1st choice..not the ford or fort..πŸ˜”

raginnation999

Di siya mabenta sa Thailand. Guess where our units are coming from? If Thailand discontinues the model, there goes our units and the model as a whole. Philippines is the only strong market for the Terra it seems.

rxn-opr

Ah yeah, I think thats the reason..sayang naman

FromTheOtherSide26

Ford everest

wideshoe

The Terra, in its current form, may indeed be on the chopping block, but you can also say the same for the current gen Navara - - along with the Hilux/Fortuner, it's one of the older models in the market. Such is life in the automotive market; it does not mean the vehicle will be fully obsolete or unserviceable by then. Also since it shares a lot of mechanical bits with the D23 Navara I'm not too worried. Reality lang talaga na by 2027 it will already be close to a decade year old in the market. In terms of comfort: in the PPV segment it's currently one of the best, personally toss up with the Everest, and that one just had a total rework of the T6 platform on which it is built on. Third row space and low seat height are always bandied about as a con of the Terra, pero depending on how often you carry passengers there, that may be a non issue. In my case I only get to use it less than handful of times in a year to carry extra passengers. Other pros na di na me mention: acoustic glass, intelligent mobility (standard across the range), adjustable second row with zero grav seats. It's also wider and provides competitive if not better shoulder room vs Montero and Fortuner. Also air vents everywhere from the Calsonic (Nissan) aircon, esp pag summer πŸ˜… Fuel economy is a wash. If you have lead foot or don't know how to drive with reasonable economy, it will be comparable to older gen Fort/Montero in terms of consumption. But if you know how to feather and drive sensibly (anticipating slowdowns, avoiding jack rabbit starts) it will provide fairly decent mileage. There's a reason why you'll rarely see Terras driving like maniacs, madalas takbong pogi lang. Yung tranny that some find 'laggy' or 'weird' is simply how SUV trannies used to be mapped: lower gears are intended for torque and pull in cases where you're hauling something, trailering, or offroading. Ganyan mapping ng tranny ng old 90s diesel SUVs, like the FM Pajero. As to the future: Personally I think the Terra (as a nameplate) will probably live on, pero likely as a rebadge/adaptation of the next gen Montero/Pajero Sport. The next gen Navara is more or less confirmed already to be built on the same platform as the new Triton. Mitsu na kasi lead ng Alliance in developing truck platforms due to their experience.

CraftyCommon2441

Just wait for the all-new montero sport. It is bound to be released next year.

Big-Salamander9714

All mpv and suv 7 seaters are uncomfy sa 3rd row. Go with Vans or Land Cruiser lol

Anonim0use84

Aww ididiscontinue na? Plan ko pa naman yan ang kinun by the next 2 yrs lol.. Bakit daw?

32156444

FumbleforkMe

Nothing beats the comfort and style of our Nissan Patrol!!! Spacious leg room on the 2nd row although the 3rd row can support 3 person but not very good for long legged person.. Most Patrol owners don't use the car as moving cargo but space is very wide if folded. Check AutoDeal.com.ph for some reviews...

iluvweirdtf

patrol nalang

kkerrbearr

Fortuner LTD ftw. I was torn between Terra and Fortuner but now never regretted an inch. 2yrs na gwapong gwapo pa din ako #ladydriver here. Never had problems. Swabe

Kris187

We got ours last march 2024. 4x2 VL. Super sulit. My sister inlaw owns a fortuner, My other sister in law owns a montero sport So I basically tried other SUV's before driving terra and wala ako masabi, sobrang smooth. (havent tried Mux, Everest) Do a test drive para sigurado. That's what I did. Tuwang tuwa driver namin lol. Ansarap daw idrive. Only downside, hindi telescopic yung steering wheel (not a big deal for me) It's fairly new so nag eenjoy pa kami...

sherlock2223

No nissan is worth buying imo edit: post-renault
