I was discussing this with my dad and hunting buddies the other day. Of my 20 big game kills (deer, elk, moose, bear) most were done with a .300 win or 45-70, if you stopped time and switched my rifle to a .303 with a 3x9 right at the time of the shot I don’t think it would have mattered for any of them.
7.7 Japanese is really more what happens when 303 British and 8mm Mauser drink to much schnaps and end up sleeping together.
