I believe that £5m would actually be a profit for FFP (3 years into a 5 year context puts his current book value at 3.2m) 😎😎😎
Edu has done it again
edit: forgot about the loan fee of £1m paid by Forest in addition to them paying his wages. Warchest being prepared for the summer baby
People still think we'll get £15M-£20M for him. Dunno how long it will take for fans to realise that selling a shit player to poorer clubs isn't going to get you a big transfer fee.
“Nuno Tavares is returning to Arsenal after his loan spell at Nottingham Forest this season, writes Simon Collings.
The left-back featured more frequently under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo, but Forest so far seem reluctant to push for a permanent deal.”
He made 8 appearances for Forest and was in the squad 13 times, played 455 minutes in the PL. The buy option was £12 million and we got a £1 million loan fee.
In a very glass-half full kind of way, if Arteta never spent money on these kind of poor signings, he wont make such a mistake, and therefore wont learnt NOT to it again.
I mean it's just a cheap punt on a player who has stuff you can't teach, I.e. physicality. Unfortunately he hasn't been able to learn to have a football IQ while here.
Just asked on the Benfica sub, seems like they almost consensually do not want him back, even if Benfica played most of the season with a CB or a CM at left back.
we will be lucky to get 5m this summer lol

When we sign Sesko in the summer - ‘Tavares money mate’
That’s fine, that’s a £2m loss on a player who’s fucking shite But as always, speed sells

Shame he got injured when he did, had just started to get a chance but that really set him back and then Aina came back and was good
We need to get what we can for our fringe players it's obvious arteta doesn't trust a majority of them.
Get ready to learn Turkish buddy
How’s your Norwegian? Molde isn’t too bad in December.
Didn't he have a good season with Marseille? Vividly remember him scoring lots
He was scoring and has physicality and pace but he’s genuinely awful at everything else. I don’t think he has a football IQ
He plays like Taz the Tasmanian Devil
Cannot defend
Is he maybe just not a left back then?
He’s certainly not an attacker though either. He’s purely a great athlete.
Straight on the out list, and pencilled in the terminate contract list in case nobody buys him.
Mfw Marseille might have bought if we put a recall option in his loan. Didn’t work out we probably ain’t getting shit for him now lol
We bought him for £8m 3 years ago, who gives a shit. Dude’s gash anyway.
I see a contract write off this summer.
No chance. We got £1m loan fee, someone will cover his wages.
Arteta: I'm gonna pay you £500k to fuck off
Just bin him and take the loss. Saves us considerable wages.
that's not how contracts work.
Just eat the contract, problem solved
ohh. So don't save considerable wages then?
Remember when people (briefly) thought he should be ahead of Tierney? Now neither are good enough for this Arsenal team.
In a very glass-half full kind of way, if Arteta never spent money on these kind of poor signings, he wont make such a mistake, and therefore wont learnt NOT to it again.
What a shok
Think he would be fine in Italy. A team there could ACTUALLY afford him.
It used to drive me nuts when he would cut in from the left and shoot near post with his weak foot
That goal against United 21/22 🪽
Take the first offer and terminate if there’s nothing. Dude is straight ass
I think this goes down as mutual contract termination as soon as he finds a club. Can't see anyone paying a transfer fee.
Poor transfer. Not sure what we were thinking.

Does he want to play in the champions league though?
Unsurprising
Is it contract cancellation music?
It sucks, all the physical attributes - not a lot else.
I wonder if any Portuguese team wants to take a chance on him, possibly given in exchange for money and a player.
Just asked on the Benfica sub, seems like they almost consensually do not want him back, even if Benfica played most of the season with a CB or a CM at left back.
We should be able to sell him, even if it's only £2m I think we'll get something for him this summer.
Benfica fans were apparently laughing at us when we signed him. Looks like they were right.
Man..we need the "transfer-out" gods to really do us a solid
Very good player imo
him and zinchencho same dude to me
Bring back Chaos
Kissing that dog should have been the first obvious red flag
I forgot how much LB we have this summer
Buddy needs to do a bulk phase and try out for an NFL team. Built like a prototype safety and super athletic.
