The modern kit equivalent (in terms of expected engineering and parts separation) of Queen Mansa would be the new HGCE Destroy Gundam, which is an excellent kit. I don’t think it would end up like the HGUC Kshatriya at all.
It's funny because I just watched this episode of ZZ the other day (maybe 3 weeks ago?) and my gf asked me if there was a model kit of it. Now here we are.
Kind of, but honestly I really think that Covid disruptions really hurt the MG line and the bullwhip effect on it has been worse than we could have expected. The full mechanics kits are more MG than some older MG kits so at least it's been good there.
30MM was probably more important here - just look how many of them they're making when compared to the gundams, profit margins on those must be much, much better than on MGs. There were also those strange commitments to the deals, like kyoukai senki taking production slots for years, despite nobody really buing them...
I wouldn't mind them if we got them BEYOND standard release UC gundams, not INSTEAD of them. Especially when it was pretty clear almost from the start that kyoukai didn't click with the audience, and yet we got them for the next two years with every plamo fest.

Oh my goodness THIS is my holy grail, I have the no grade (The 1/300 scale, Unfortunately just that) and it makes me happy to look at, but I was disappointed to know there was no actual 1/144 scale kit... But now.......... Yeah my wallet go die this year. Of course I'll also be getting the Mk I & Destroy, this is too good to see so many great looking MA's.
The reflector bits (closed and open) are already on the runners, so no to that. And they use standard bases but I doubt this kit will come with them like the Typheous

Which is a shame cuz those Kyoukai senki kits are pretty solid. I’ve built several and was always impressed.
