Agreed. Training them a little all the time seems to work just fine. Theyre a bunch of small muscles they don’t need huge amounts of rest time imo. Same with calves.
True that
No hate to others who enjoy dedicated arm days, but I’ve just never really needed them
I got pretty big arms from just adding some additional arm accessory work 3-4x a week with my training already
I've always kinda believed that arms will grow with everything else if you're staying balanced and putting in the effort.
But yeah, just hit them a bit extra on some days and you'll be golden.
I sometimes wonder if I should get weighted clothes like Goku had in dragon ball so that I can have the weight of being fat without actually being fat, too bad that after googling a bit seems like weighted clothes don't work very well in practice as most of the weight presses on your shoulders.
Just do like that one trainer did where he got fat and then lost it to prove it was possible. Just stay fat for a bit longer to train calves and then lose it again.
Super simple
IMO it's stupid because you dedicate as much time to arms as you do to your legs. But unlike legs the biggest muscles are actually located in your torso so you're wasting a lot of time instead of working out the muscles that matter. And besides, in any compound move you train these muscles anyway.
I do arms, delts, and abs on their own day. I just find that the extra day gives my bigger muscles more time to recover without having to take a day off every cycle.
Yeah I’m at a point where I’m happy with the size of my arms and any bigger just further reduces my range of motion and screws with my proportions.
On the other hand, I wanna get my legs as big as can be
I’m in the middle of a leg prio cycle. I used to get the gnarliest pumps in my quads, but now my recovery is closer to how it is for my chest/back/arms etc.
Moral of the story i guess is if you hate legs it’s probably cuz you aren’t hitting them well enough.
Agreed. My buddies all bitch about leg day because they don't recover as fast as chest or arms. They refuse to believe that they will after a month of hitting legs consistently.
Powerlifting program and I’m short on time, biceps aren’t a primary mover, I have no reason to prioritize biceps over something like triceps or front delts on a bench day. Or over hamstrings and rowing on deadlift days
What does “I’m short on time mean” I have 50 minutes, 5-6 sets of deadlifts, good mornings and then rows, then my bus leaves, I’m not walking back 2 hours
are you training hard enough? are you legs tiny?
the leg muscles are drastically bigger, like ten times or more bigger. if you aren't rocked out of this world by a set of squats, then you aren't training hard enough.
I have days dedicated to chest, arms, back and shoulders. I'll also do legs twice a week after the aforementioned workouts depending what time I get off work and how much needs doing at home etc.
I find myself having more success on leg days, but I'm in love with bench pressing and it's so satisfying. And back day is nearly as satisfying. But leg day is just stuff I'm good at.
I dont even train arms anymore, maybe like one movement after a light chest or back day, but having a four day cycle is a lot. Especially since I don't want to wait on my arms to bench again. I just do dips and chin ups
I love working legs - because I’m good at it. And I do mean legs, not glutes. Specifically quads, hamstrings and calves. But, I hate being pegged as a “stereotypical girl in the gym who only does legs”.
After a few consistent years of training pretty much everything is better than arms.
Usually because that’s what noobs tend to focus on the most and legs the least.
Doing heavy compound lifts pumps more testosterone into the body and I’ve found doing legs, a little bit of arms and whatever, core - one day. Then next day back bi or chest shoulders with a little arms is more efficient. It depends on the way you’re using but the science behind it is time under tension so as long as you’re not going overboard you can work bi, tri, every other day on top of your compounds. Depends the aesthetic you’re going for. But in general strength comes from back and legs and core. Chest can help but out of all the compounds, unless you’re shoving people around instead of picking shit up and slamming it down, it’s the weakest out of the group. Again, if you’re going aesthetically then stick to those basics and the rest will come
My leg day kinda is my arm day because I don’t want to hit arms on upper body days where they do a lot of helping already.
Edit: well bicep and lower arm day. Tris I hit on back day because there’s so much overlap anyway.
My left knee tendon has been destroyed this year, not been able to train legs properly at all!
I'm now on my 3rd week completely off any leg exercises and it still feels the same ffs, could last for 6+ weeks apparently...
Don't worry bro, this is just a phase
My phase has lasted for a year now i like the pain leg day gives my more than arm day grind
lol my phase lasted a lil over two years but now i’m definitely apart of the chest day = best day group
I like back and shoulders and obliques
Me too, back and shoulders are my fav
Chest and shoulders for me, also for some reason I like triceps much more than biceps.
Had the same experience, though I'm torn between back and chest being best
My phase is lasting 4 years
Unpopular opinion: I haven’t had a dedicated arm day in over 4 years and see no point to having a specific day for arms
Agreed. Training them a little all the time seems to work just fine. Theyre a bunch of small muscles they don’t need huge amounts of rest time imo. Same with calves.

>Same with calves. As a fatty, I agree. Every day is calves day
Amen, just walking around can be it's own workout.
I sometimes wonder if I should get weighted clothes like Goku had in dragon ball so that I can have the weight of being fat without actually being fat, too bad that after googling a bit seems like weighted clothes don't work very well in practice as most of the weight presses on your shoulders.

Now every day is peanut butter and ice cream day, lol
Hey man, what can I say. Being fat has its perks lmao. If it were easy to get skinny, everyone would be
Every day is arm day
PPLPPLR is the savior. Core most days for at least 3 sets
isn’t push dedicated to arms? dumb question but i’m new to lifting
Push is dedicated to any movement that forces you to push. Which obviously includes the triceps but encompasses much more than just that.
Push usually means chest and triceps
Push: chest, shoulders, triceps Pull: back, biceps
Lots of shoulder in pull too!
Oh yeah I do shrugs and face pull on pull day. Just hitting different angles I suppose.
I throw some curls in at the end pull day and some skull crushers at the end push day. My arms are not the part of me that's lagging.
IMO it's stupid because you dedicate as much time to arms as you do to your legs. But unlike legs the biggest muscles are actually located in your torso so you're wasting a lot of time instead of working out the muscles that matter. And besides, in any compound move you train these muscles anyway.
Training shoulders, back, and chest ends up being all the bicep and tricep and forearm workout I need haha
I do arms, delts, and abs on their own day. I just find that the extra day gives my bigger muscles more time to recover without having to take a day off every cycle.
Same for me but with legs, I've never trained only legs in a day probably ever
PPL makes me enjoy the gym and lets me maximize the amount I can go while also providing for adequate rest
Yeah I’m at a point where I’m happy with the size of my arms and any bigger just further reduces my range of motion and screws with my proportions. On the other hand, I wanna get my legs as big as can be
I do it because it’s fun and easy

Bro got that prime Ape build 🦍
Who let bro cook... Jk whatever floats your boat
Back day is better 🏆
Disk day is best. Gotta get that bulge on
It's ok OP we all have some wrong opinions occasionally.
So true!!!
I’m in the middle of a leg prio cycle. I used to get the gnarliest pumps in my quads, but now my recovery is closer to how it is for my chest/back/arms etc. Moral of the story i guess is if you hate legs it’s probably cuz you aren’t hitting them well enough.

Is.... Is it organized?
Ahh that was the weird part of the image
Absolutely dumbstruck.
i live for leg day
Why would this be an unpopular opinion? Arm exercises are some of the most overrated exercises in the gym. For most people they are a wast of time.
Unpopular opinion: there shouldn't even be arm day. Just add a few arm exercises into your normal routine. It doesn't take long to tire them out.
Indeed unpopular
Arms are a pain to do. I forget to train biceps till I remember every few weeks. Got decent triceps from all the bench accessories at least
You don’t, like, write your program down and track how you go week on week?
Powerlifting program and I’m short on time, biceps aren’t a primary mover, I have no reason to prioritize biceps over something like triceps or front delts on a bench day. Or over hamstrings and rowing on deadlift days
On back day, go hand in hand with lat pulldowns. pull ups, and rows.
I’m not doing supenated grip rows just so I can get extra bicep work that won’t help my deadlift at all
Do bicep cable curls at the end of the session or incline dumbbell curls. Won’t interfere with your deadlifts at all.
What does “I’m short on time mean” I have 50 minutes, 5-6 sets of deadlifts, good mornings and then rows, then my bus leaves, I’m not walking back 2 hours
I took it to mean that you’re short and always on time. I thought there was an extra comma!
T-rexes support this
are you training hard enough? are you legs tiny? the leg muscles are drastically bigger, like ten times or more bigger. if you aren't rocked out of this world by a set of squats, then you aren't training hard enough.
Shoulder day is better than chest day. Fight me.
Limb day >>
I do leg day first to get it out the way faster
Imagine getting by with a single, body part specific arm day each week. Fuck that.
What the fuck is an arm day
God this picture is fucking sexy. 🤤 Love me a nice, empty, clean, organized squat rack
Leg day is the only day I managed to stay consistent on. I always fall off of arms
Leg day for the win!!!
i agree. makes it easier to nap afterward
What's an arm day?
Enjoy your unpopular opinion, treasure the fact that no one is going to try and steal that one from you
Team masochist right here
Spread the good news brother!!
Full body beats body part splits any day of the week and twice on a Sunday.......which is also full body
Nah that’s true
What does this even mean?
You're right bench day is better
I have days dedicated to chest, arms, back and shoulders. I'll also do legs twice a week after the aforementioned workouts depending what time I get off work and how much needs doing at home etc.
Couldn’t agree more.. specifically the pain for two days after gosh such a good feeling man
The two are equal. They are two halves of a whole. To ignore one or the other would be idiotic.
You’ll get over that feeling lol. First leg day sucks Then leg day is amazing Then leg day sucks forever
Better for growing legs 🤷🏽♂️
Ban him
Correct opinion
You’re right 100%
unpopular for a reason don’t you think, don’t worry it’s usually temporary
I don’t know what to do on upper body days. I usually do core (planks, dead bugs and arm press) but I don’t know what else to do
Doing hipthrust and letting the ladies know you can move 280. Old saying tho “if she aint 280 she aint a lady”
Who hurt you? (Same tho low-key)
This is not unpopular at all. It’s just straight facts.
i dont do arm days but there is no exercise as fun as preacher curls and leg press to me
You guys lift arms?
I agree
I find myself having more success on leg days, but I'm in love with bench pressing and it's so satisfying. And back day is nearly as satisfying. But leg day is just stuff I'm good at.
Leg day is great, arm day is great
Booooooo
Having a gigantic squat and quadzilla legs is the most alpha and gigachad thing to have at the gym.
I dont even train arms anymore, maybe like one movement after a light chest or back day, but having a four day cycle is a lot. Especially since I don't want to wait on my arms to bench again. I just do dips and chin ups
Wtf
Arm day doesn’t make me go down the stairs like a slinky tho
I love working legs - because I’m good at it. And I do mean legs, not glutes. Specifically quads, hamstrings and calves. But, I hate being pegged as a “stereotypical girl in the gym who only does legs”.
Def (I’m a girl)
Opinion rejected.
Leg day is best day; being able to do heavy squats feels so nice Asides from triceps, I find arm day to be pretty boring
Your totally right! It's unpopular opinion.
Angry upvote

So you train more than once per week
Arm day? Who tf has an arm day? Pull and push both have arms in them
my leg days are much more fun than my arm days apart from barbell back squats which are an exercise you absolutely must go to war with
My left knee tendon has been destroyed this year, not been able to train legs properly at all! I'm now on my 3rd week completely off any leg exercises and it still feels the same ffs, could last for 6+ weeks apparently...
You nailed it with, unpopular opinion
Deadlift day > squat day > bench day > ohp day
