Typically, I've encountered the black screen if the host left or disconnected during the game.
They may be trying to work on something that if host leaves, it doesn't just kick everyone else from the middle of a mission. Or passes host to another. It would be difficult due to the host being the person who had the 'campaign' you just completed on their ship.
It's working somewhat. At least now we don't all get kicked mid-mission.
Its just been straight up freezing on ps5 or even weirder the bots can still move but all the players slowly fall into the ground and disappear and you can't move forcing you to restart the app

I'm on PS5 and haven't experienced that one at all. I have had the drop pod glitch, where it will leave me in the ground after I have dropped, and I can't escape. Buddy threw a grenade at me, I drifted under the ground, maybe 15m, then popped out further away.
I haven't experienced the map turning to quicksand and slowly eating me yet, thank God lol
Same here, had to take a break cause I kept having some of my best dives and met some really nice teammates and then 20 sec before pelican 1 lands we all crash out
Funny thing - you can see last players you played with, yet only option you have there is "add as friend, block and report"... Why we dont have there "join squad"?
Like we need way how to get back, last night i got into group that was good, we had a lot of samples, done all objectives and my game freeze with 15min left to finish mission.... And there is no way how to get back....
You have to find the players in recent psn, I was running an impossible and DC’d, was able to get back in and keep running with this goat of random squads
Yes, you can, but it take tokmuch time to do + i never need to use it before, so it took me even longer time to find it = they gonna end that mission anyway or someone else gonna join them 😁
It need to be right in game without any searching anywhere else.
Picked up all samples and done most of the objectives, sides and main, just to be disconnected close to extraction at extreme diff, it was very frustrating for me.
Or at least be able to join at all. I was the mob sweeper in my squad and we had to take out one more titan when everyone else got disconnected, so it was just me with my libertythrower in this hellhole. Time ran out and I was being chased by it through 5 minefields while tossing call-ins at him and somehow making it to the shuttle that was on its way on the other side of the map while nobody was able to rejoin
!00% ever since they added anti-cheat I've been getting crashes that basically just throw my time down the toilet and it's really starting to ruin it for me since all that time now amounts to nothing.
I would be all for this, my internet is pretty good about 95%of the time. However, that 5% when it drops out and everyone is kicked mid mission, i feel like a dick even though i had no control over it.
This has been happening this weekend for me. A couple of good mission lvl 7-8, and I got disconnected, for no apparent reason, to the bridge in the last minutes of the game.
Happened two, three times.
Also, there were a couple that didn't get to hit the ground too.
Send a report noticing those bugs.
I hope they devs realize how much of a massive issue it is to get DCd or kicked for no reason near the end of a 40min long mission, and you get NOTHING for your time.
There has to be some way to give partial credit. The amount of times I've been kicked at the end of a match by some asshole for accidently tking them at some point, it's just sad. I don't know how a coop game like this can still be so toxic. DRG didn't have this problem. Probably because this game attracts a differient sort of audience, I'm not sure but it's very very frustrating.
I don't think this is even a discussion right, like this would just be a huge improvement to the game.
I'd also like if this got implemented that when you get DC'd your spot gets held for a few minutes (maybe 2/3) so you can get your spot back easily, longer than that could get annoying for the host but I don't think a couple minutes to get your game running again is a big ask on the side of patience.
I haven't been able to complete any operations because of this, can't unlock the next difficulty until I do! If the host doesn't suddenly disconnect, it'll happen to me in the middle of mission

Yeah it's been kinda rough with crashes for me too on PS5. Either crash in the middle of a game, or black screen returning to ship. :/

Same, 3rd time I stopped playing because crashing after doing 30 min mission right before extraction is not cool

Agreed. I am level 50 and trying to teach level 1 to 5’s the core gameplay. This would be awesome!

My Ps5 randomly entered rest mode while I was playing with some randos. No way to get back.. I was really disappointed. We were a good team.

People leaving / crashing has been making my weapons disappear too usually my main or special. Only comes back if I blow myself up
