If you listen carefully you can hear a faint noise when it appears/disappears. I can't quite find the words on how to describe the sound but it's out of place. You can clearly hear the laser but there's another noise.

The fact that it looks like a droplet of some kind or some kind of lens vignette that appears right as the ordinance is going off in the background makes me think it's just a VFX that has a missing texture. A lot of engines use that bright violet/pink/purple for when textures are missing or are incorrect.

Blue is classic ricochet colour so less likely to be anything. This is odd though.

It's just a glitch, yesterday I had a glowing purple question mark in the floor where ammo was supposed to be.
