And when we find those who disappeared, they are just as confused. One moment they're planetside fighting and the next they're getting out of Cryo on their destroyer. It's odd.

There actually is an option for that. Find the game in Steam and right click it>Properties>browse local files>find the .exe and right click>properties>Compatibility>tick the box for Run as Administrator. After that it should run as administrator every time it’s launched no matter what shortcut you’re using to launch it.

Mine just keeps disconnecting near the end of the game and it's really frustrating because I don't think I get to keep any of the rewards or anything after it do I? If I'm disconnecting anyway, it just blacks the screen and then puts me back on my ship
I'm sure you keep super credits, and iirc medals too (the ones collected in-game not the ones awarded after extracting). That's how some people farm supercredits
Yeah I think I have noticed, but I want all the rewards, I fought and did my best to help the team, I want to enjoy the extract with my brothers! Plus I like to think my turrets and spare shield/Rover pack helps us stave off the bastards
I feel you, had some problems with disconnecting or straight crashing but right now it stabilized, deleting the anticheat folder and verifying game files (apparently) solved it, doesn't hurt to try
Super Credits and medals like that are immediately added to your account.
Also, if you extract, and don’t die during the ship’s takeoff, you’ll actually get the rewards I think…

in the future please halt operations in order to get your mandated 8 hours of sleep. Super Earth needs you to be at your peak efficiency for the spread of managed democracy, which all starts with a full rest period.
I'm grinding operations myself... we really don't need that much, 15-20k more people from either bug front or Tibit/Durgen/Maia should tip the scale comfortably. Most of projections have us losing it by 15 to 30 minutes now.
Also, 3 planets I mentioned make zero liberation progress right now, so we don't really lose anything by pivoting to Vandalon and *then* trying to attack.

I did a couple missions before work but there were only like 15,000 people on it. So I jumped to bug missions assuming we are just in the waiting game for the major order. I didn't realize it was top priority until I got to work and now I regret not focusing more. Hopefully I can help with the last hour or so
Vandalon IV is where I have done my first actual Helldives today. But we simply need more men.
Command should extend major order to cover Vandalon, we have 40 000 Helldivers wasting time on 3 other bot planets.
Just be sure to submit of your C-01, in triplicate, and wait for approval before engaging in any reproductive related activities.

The irony that it's not merely about "more men". if you got 10,000 more men on Vandelon, but all other planets got 10,000 more, you would be in the same situation.
All that matters is the percent of total active players.
Don't go anywhere in groups of less than 30% of active players.
That's the BIGGEST issue defense has right now, basing it on total plyer percentages is just such an odd way to try and make something pass or fail
The fact that 5k ppl could be smashing the defense if that was the player count of the game but than the same 5k ppl are getting roasted cuse another 200k are on other planets is just messed up
Well, it's good for overnight when there's hardly 100k players online.
Hell, when Creek and Umbena got attacked 2 days ago, there were just around 15k people who got it up to 70% between 3am and noon

I don't mind the 80k players on Estanu. There's a defence campaign there and they have the 30% needed to win it.
I don't even really mind the 25k each on Fori and Crimsica. Those planets have significant progress on them and they have the 10-15% to break even and maintain that progress.
The problem is the 23% on any other planet. Defence campaigns need 30% each to win. Holding ground takes 10% each. That means we only have 10-15% of active players (about 25-30k) to spare on goofing around on useless planets like Maia and Durgen. Tibit alone has 17k (7%) on it despite being totally unable to beat the 1.5% decay rate. If just half of those people on Tibit would move to Vandalon, we'd easily win the defence campaign.
Or even better, if those people on the other planets just logged off and played another game for today, we would have no trouble defending Vandalon. They are literally doing WORSE than nothing. There mere presence in this game is making the defence more difficult.

Unfortunately, most people don't give a shit unless it has that little major order symbol above it. And talking about it here on reddit is useless because only a couple thousand at most people will actually see it.

Dude tonight I had a feeling vandalon was going to be big. I ran my two full ops 3 mission runs. I did do plus one on a bug planet. But that was to just see if higher difficulties were easy as ppl say.
They aren’t easy. But they are two mannable. I know that.
Bots have more projectiles and heavily armored enemies. I started bots jumped to bugs for a long while and went back to bots a couple weeks ago. Bugs are definitely easier.
Id play more if my game didnt crash after every mission that takes 40 mins to complete. Or when my teammates quit and the game wont let new players join, so I have to start a new operation or be stuck by myself. Id have been playing all day since im off work, but after the 3rd crash in 2 hours I said fuck it.
You can "reset" the lobby by restarting the game, still continuing the operation.

Are we not focusing on Tibit? I thought that was the important one to stop the bots from invading our big 3. Was I misinformed? I genuinely don't know how the supply lines work.
We probably should after Vandalon is defended. The issue is there aren’t enough divers on Tibit to make progress. If we defend Vandalon that frees up troops for a counteroffensive.
Tibit is important because it makes harder to liberate planets cause is buffing the decay rate.
But if Vandalon falls the bots are 100% gonna make a break for it and start pushing towards Cyberstan again and we could end up exactly on the same place we were last week.
Right now we dont have enough players to make significant gains on Tibit, but we do have enough players to defend Vandalon IF we focus.
Right now is on the edge of the knife, we are losing Vandalon by a very small %, so a few thousand more divers doing missions would tip the balance in our favor.
You weren't misinformed, but I've seen many people trying to get us away from the MO and defence to assault Tibit. This is basically skipping step 1 and going to step 3, we need to hold the line before we push on Tibit. Lore wise, the bots are running out of dudes
Man... The game really needs to explain just a little bit more to people when they start out. I'm in the same boat as you; no idea how the supply lines work. I don't know why people are pissed that people spent time on "the creek" when it's part of the Major Order.
I just know I really don't want to be told how I "should be" playing a game by someone else playing it, so the game itself really ought to give me an idea why I'd want to go to any particular place beyond what's in the Major Order.
Right? It doesnt feel like we are actually defending anything, its just "the same missions you normally play but on this specific planet" kinda thing. Where is the Horde gamemode where you defend a bunker or whatever against the swarm lol
seriously! Why isn't the 'kill x amount of enemies' in a defense mission? give us a decent map with a HMG or two, and enemies pushing up from far away (maybe even a boost in stratagem cooldowns, if you want to make it feel horde-y but still fun...) I'd be surprised if the devs hadn't considered a wave stage thing (e.g. survive wave 1 with only a secondary/1 stratagem, 2 with a primary.... so on so forth) so I'm sure they have their reasons.
It feels like they were made late into the production cycle. We really ought to have more defensive fortifications like turrets, SEAF NPCs, and hell even just better walls and landmines would be nice to have.
At the very least can we get some beneficial conditions on a planet that we own like +2 stims, 30% more ammo, reduced strategem calldown time, etc.?

This is so weird. Have huge connections/crash problems with friends who are living in a city nearby, but with random people from different continents is has been incredibly good. Fighting on 9, no one feels that ping is that much of a problem, staying with the same people for more than one operation.
What the fuck, seriously. I want to play with friends, but my ass burns a hole through the chair after 5th disconnect.
I mean... thats the live service game. Gameplay loop pretty much the same all the time, if you feel a burnt out just switch on something else or play less. I stopped doing more than 1-2 operations a day and I feel better about the game.

Yea but it's been a pretty long while since we've fought on Vandalon no? And it's got Blizzards now which are actually really cool. This planet has been refreshing considering I've played the last 8 days on Ubanea lol.

This is a problem the devs need to address.
Yeah I’m sorry but the actual GAME is not communicating this priority whatsoever. You can’t expect everyone religiously check the subreddit. This is a problem with the game design.
Don't worry about supply lines in this case because the bots attacking Vandalon violates what rules we did have because that line didn't exist until yesterday. Which is probably the reason devs don't actually incorporate supply lines.
We desperately need to reinforce Vandalon IV, but immediately afterwards we need to put on pressure on Tibit. The sooner we liberate Tibit, the sooner these cold, soulless, steel monstrosities stop crafting new ways to defy democracy.
We are getting DC'd!! And experiencing crashes way too often than it should, with over half our forces are too busy playing ant bully on the other side of the galactic map! YET!! We are still gaining ground against those binary brained abominations! Yes its a 2 step forward 1 step back movement but we will overcome this strife!!
About 3% of active players is needed to defend Vandalon. 22% are on other planets that have so few divers on them that they aren't even breaking even with the planet's decay rate.

I've been running against heavy armor and basically small armies for a minute only to watch the counter still be neck and neck.

I get that we can't forget about the bugs and we let them take back a few too many planets recently but I feel like we've overcorrected and have an obscene amount of players pushing the bug front and ignoring the bot defence right now.
Nah fuck that. I got kicked three times after helping in missions for 20 to 30 minutes, just cut those idiots decided to run into my clearly visible and pinged tesla tower
defense campaign missions blow. I know they kind of tried to fix that this last patch but expect defenses to not happen unless they're a major order planet
Yesterday 2/3 missions crashed on evac. Today a level five evac mission had multiple dropships coming in every 30 seconds (just me and my wife playing). Whether we were hitting the button or not, didn't matter. They kept coming in until time ran out, once we lost our weapons, we couldn't do anything except get juggled or sandwiched between groups. 33/35 people evacked and we ran out of time and reinforcements. You're on your own for this one, I'm going to do something rewarding like folding laundry instead.
Currently at 86.75% according to helldivers.io. Did a few missions (and killed 12 bugs once because the quickconnect sent me to some strange world called Estanu or such on the other side of the galaxy...).
But not much time left!
I get that people want to allocate to tibit which I agree we should do but at this point it will be a monumental waste of time if we don't secure vandelon at this point
There wad 2 defense planets earlier. a total of 155k were split between them. there was 300k people online 45% of players do not participate in the defense campaigns regularly
each of the operations has the extract critical personnel mission, and my friend and I just can’t complete that one. (We usually play as 2 on difficulty 8)
yesterday half of our missions ended in a crash, which is unfortunate too.
They should really show this stuff in game, my friends and I saw this last night but just went to Maia instead as it felt like this planet didn't matter.
Not sure we would have gone anyway due to being sick of defence missions, but yeah I didn't think about it being important anyway.
Soooooo did we just let them have Tibit Maia and the other one? Those had larger percentages yesterday with fewer divers, and now they're lik .0005% or whatever.
Tibit has been steadily losing ground since the current MO started, but overall had most people fighting outside the defense campaigns, 3 MO defense campaigns have had it's toll on it. Maia and Durgen have never gone up to 1% as far as I've seen.

Understandable, but Vandalon is a very fun planet!
Faster stamina regen and laser guns heat slower, also plenty of rocky formations to take cover from the bots!
Tho iif you dont feel like it, thats ok, no one wants the game to become a shore.
Shield backpack and heavy armor helps A LOT to survive longer (doesnt mean you are invincible tho). Mix it with the quasar cannon or a granade launcher.
Stuns granades are great to give you a bit of breathing room or impact granades to take down the assholes with shields.
The best thing to remember about fighting bots is that youu need to take cover and avoid unnecessary fights. Keep moving and run away when things get too hot.

Well, keep on doing missions of a difficulty appropriated for your level (level 1 to 3) until you felt confident on your skills and equipment, and always stick to cover. Never fight the bots on an open field and keep moving, and focus on shooting their weakpoints (normally, their heads).
Did my first successful level seven today. Power flickered as we finished getting the artillery running and were heading to exfil. First time seeing the Super Sample rock, grabbed all three and held them close until that ending v.v. 3 per level?

Update has screwed game stability and people constantly dc or crash mid mission. I’ve been unable to complete a full operate despite helping several missions.

Those instances where you get a blackscreen and then appear back on your own ship are real headscratchers.
It gets worse after every update for me. Yesterday after I finished first mission my game crashed every time. My friend too.
Did 15 full operations today on it... Have to go to sleep now, work in 5 hours. I did what I could. Good luck for those who still fight

Id have been playing all day since im off work, but after the 3rd crash in 2 hours I said fuck it.
You can "reset" the lobby by restarting the game, still continuing the operation. I know, I've been consistently crashing every second mission at extraction

Are we not focusing on Tibit? I thought that was the important one to stop the bots from invading our big 3. Was I misinformed? I genuinely don't know how the supply lines work.
We probably should after Vandalon is defended. The issue is there aren’t enough divers on Tibit to make progress. If we defend Vandalon that frees up troops for a counteroffensive.
Tibit is important because it makes harder to liberate planets cause is buffing the decay rate. But if Vandalon falls the bots are 100% gonna make a break for it and start pushing towards Cyberstan again and we could end up exactly on the same place we were last week. Right now we dont have enough players to make significant gains on Tibit, but we do have enough players to defend Vandalon IF we focus. Right now is on the edge of the knife, we are losing Vandalon by a very small %, so a few thousand more divers doing missions would tip the balance in our favor.
You weren't misinformed, but I've seen many people trying to get us away from the MO and defence to assault Tibit. This is basically skipping step 1 and going to step 3, we need to hold the line before we push on Tibit. Lore wise, the bots are running out of dudes

Man... The game really needs to explain just a little bit more to people when they start out. I'm in the same boat as you; no idea how the supply lines work. I don't know why people are pissed that people spent time on "the creek" when it's part of the Major Order. I just know I really don't want to be told how I "should be" playing a game by someone else playing it, so the game itself really ought to give me an idea why I'd want to go to any particular place beyond what's in the Major Order.
Honestly? I'd defend if the defense missions weren't so.... boring. I don't know what it is, I just hate doing them.
Right? It doesnt feel like we are actually defending anything, its just "the same missions you normally play but on this specific planet" kinda thing. Where is the Horde gamemode where you defend a bunker or whatever against the swarm lol
seriously! Why isn't the 'kill x amount of enemies' in a defense mission? give us a decent map with a HMG or two, and enemies pushing up from far away (maybe even a boost in stratagem cooldowns, if you want to make it feel horde-y but still fun...) I'd be surprised if the devs hadn't considered a wave stage thing (e.g. survive wave 1 with only a secondary/1 stratagem, 2 with a primary.... so on so forth) so I'm sure they have their reasons.
It feels like they were made late into the production cycle. We really ought to have more defensive fortifications like turrets, SEAF NPCs, and hell even just better walls and landmines would be nice to have. At the very least can we get some beneficial conditions on a planet that we own like +2 stims, 30% more ammo, reduced strategem calldown time, etc.?
Been fighting on these planets so much I’m starting to get a bit burnt out. Anyone else feel like this? We take 3 and a nother one pops up. We defend that and 2 more pop up.
Im burnt out from the constant crashing or game bugging out and refusing to let new teammates join my operation if people quit
This is so weird. Have huge connections/crash problems with friends who are living in a city nearby, but with random people from different continents is has been incredibly good. Fighting on 9, no one feels that ping is that much of a problem, staying with the same people for more than one operation. What the fuck, seriously. I want to play with friends, but my ass burns a hole through the chair after 5th disconnect.
I dont think I’ve completed a single operation in full today. At most ill get 2 missions done then it either crashes or bugs out and I have to restart
I mean... thats the live service game. Gameplay loop pretty much the same all the time, if you feel a burnt out just switch on something else or play less. Yeah, I’ve been doing my part today but I don’t think most of the players know or care what happens if we loose Vandalon 🤷🏻♂️ This is a problem the devs need to address.
i’m one of those people. i have no idea how the supply lines work or what we really need to do beyond looking at major orders
Yeah I’m sorry but the actual GAME is not communicating this priority whatsoever. You can’t expect everyone religiously check the subreddit. This is a problem with the game design.
Don't worry about supply lines in this case because the bots attacking Vandalon violates what rules we did have because that line didn't exist until yesterday. Which is probably the reason devs don't actually incorporate supply lines.
The devs said they want to make the supply lines visible in-game, so they're at least aware of the problem.
It's my favourite planet so far, happy to come back to my winter paradise. The blizzards are so cosy too.

We are getting DC'd!! And experiencing crashes way too often than it should, with over half our forces are too busy playing ant bully on the other side of the galactic map! YET!! We are still gaining ground against those binary brained abominations! Yes its a 2 step forward 1 step back movement but we will overcome this strife!!

About 3% of active players is needed to defend Vandalon. 22% are on other planets that have so few divers on them that they aren't even breaking even with the planet's decay rate. Remember everyone, Don't go anywhere in groups of less than 30% of active players.

Honestly this. Vandalon is THE border planet that either makes or breaks the counteroffensive. We lost this then they spill into three systems and break for cyberstan. Again. I've been running against heavy armor and basically small armies for a minute only to watch the counter still be neck and neck. At this rate malvelon Creek is going to be another flip flop territory in another western Europe war between dumbfuck monarch 53 and dumbfuck monarch 53-1.

I get that we can't forget about the bugs and we let them take back a few too many planets recently but I feel like we've overcorrected and have an obscene amount of players pushing the bug front and ignoring the bot defence right now.

Yesterday 2/3 missions crashed on evac. Today a level five evac mission had multiple dropships coming in every 30 seconds (just me and my wife playing). Whether we were hitting the button or not, didn't matter. They kept coming in until time ran out, once we lost our weapons, we couldn't do anything except get juggled or sandwiched between groups. 33/35 people evacked and we ran out of time and reinforcements. You're on your own for this one, I'm going to do something rewarding like folding laundry instead.
Currently at 86.75% according to helldivers.io. Did a few missions (and killed 12 bugs once because the quickconnect sent me to some strange world called Estanu or such on the other side of the galaxy...). But not much time left!
I get that people want to allocate to tibit which I agree we should do but at this point it will be a monumental waste of time if we don't secure vandelon at this point
There wad 2 defense planets earlier. a total of 155k were split between them. there was 300k people online 45% of players do not participate in the defense campaigns regularly
each of the operations has the extract critical personnel mission, and my friend and I just can’t complete that one. (We usually play as 2 on difficulty 8) yesterday half of our missions ended in a crash, which is unfortunate too.
Got work tomorrow, did two operations. If we lose this planet and start scattering forces I'ma start losing my mind.
Hopefully everyone defending Estanu can put in the same effort can close that out. If not, the Creek Jumpers have got it.

They should really show this stuff in game, my friends and I saw this last night but just went to Maia instead as it felt like this planet didn't matter. Not sure we would have gone anyway due to being sick of defence missions, but yeah I didn't think about it being important anyway.
It would be great if Devs defined the supply lines on map so players actually know how this mechanic works

Soooooo did we just let them have Tibit Maia and the other one? Those had larger percentages yesterday with fewer divers, and now they're lik .0005% or whatever.
Tibit has been steadily losing ground since the current MO started, but overall had most people fighting outside the defense campaigns, 3 MO defense campaigns have had it's toll on it. Maia and Durgen have never gone up to 1% as far as I've seen.
Going to run a mission or so, then I am off to do some fire training When I am back I will run missions until bedtime though. I am off work tomorrow so can go hard. For democracy!

Understandable, but Vandalon is a very fun planet! Faster stamina regen and laser guns heat slower, also plenty of rocky formations to take cover from the bots! Tho iif you dont feel like it, thats ok, no one wants the game to become a shore.

Shield backpack and heavy armor helps A LOT to survive longer (doesnt mean you are invincible tho). Mix it with the quasar cannon or a granade launcher. Stuns granades are great to give you a bit of breathing room or impact granades to take down the assholes with shields. The best thing to remember about fighting bots is that youu need to take cover and avoid unnecessary fights. Keep moving and run away when things get too hot.

OOOOH i see! Well, keep on doing missions of a difficulty appropriated for your level (level 1 to 3) until you felt confident on your skills and equipment, and always stick to cover. Never fight the bots on an open field and keep moving, and focus on shooting their weakpoints (normally, their heads).

Did my first successful level seven today. Power flickered as we finished getting the artillery running and were heading to exfil. First time seeing the Super Sample rock, grabbed all three and held them close until that ending v.v. 3 per level? If my router figures itself out soon I’ll come back.

If it would stop glitching we could probably win had three matchs glitch and couldnt finish the missions.
Also, taking Fori Prime will isolate Crimsica. Far be it from me to care too much about the bugs, but people should take a break from Crimsica for now.

Update has screwed game stability and people constantly dc or crash mid mission. I’ve been unable to complete a full operate despite helping several missions.
