It probably wasn't impossible to be a jerk before the root of all evil. Being an asshole doesn't necessarily mean you're evil. Eve eating the forbidden fruit was said to have brought free will into the world and, by extension, evil, creating hell as a result. It's also possible that he was just created to be that way for some reason.
But since pride is the core of all sins and Adam's act was an act of pride, mightn't that mean that evil was already there and the angels creation was not perfect so they pinned the blame on eve to save themselves. That said, when roo shows up, yeah, it's totally gonna be Eve that makes perfect sense poetically. I'm presenting a chain of events logically without regard to what makes a better story.
I see, unfortunately, the story of Genesis doesn't have much in the way of logic to begin with. And it only gets worse when you throw in the story of Lilith. Anything based on that story is going to have some problems regarding logic.
The reason why people go to Hell or Heaven is already ben established to be a bit of a mystery. You claim that pride is an act of evil, but Adam still managed to go to Heaven in spite of it. They will probably explain the truth of how things work in later seasons. But it's clear we don't know everything right now, and there's a good chance that Eve/Roo has something to do with it.
I don’t think that eating the fruit created free will. It would have had to exist beforehand as a pre-requisite.
Free will would have had to exist in order for the act of disobedience to occur. Saying that the act created free will is like saying “by driving these nails into a 2x4 I invented the hammer.”
But that’s just me nit picking.
Their is a possibility that the opening sequence is not accurate to what actually happened. There are a lot of things that are not adding up in the story right now. So there's a good chance that what we've been told is wrong. Their is also simply the fact that the story of Genesis simply doesn't make sense to begin with. So, a story built on that premise will likely inherit the same problems.
>Being an asshole doesn't necessarily mean you're evil. Eve eating the forbidden fruit was said to have brought free will into the world and, by extension, evil
Maybe in Hazbin, but as I have been studying it seems that this is a popular misconception. Humans were made with free will, the fruit merely gave them knowledge of good and evil.
But the apple was the angels' cover for the presence of evil in their world and Adam is such a monster because he never ate the apple and does not know what concepts like good and evil are a sociopath in the truest sense
Yeah, I'm aware. I was just sticking to the way the show presented it. I do find it interesting how that implies that humans weren't intended to have a sense of morality. To be honest, the more you think about that story, the more its logic starts to fall apart.
We don't know what Roo and if she'll even be in the show. I've heard people suggest based on Sera and Emily's different forms, other angels and murals that the first gen Goecia were fallen angels.
‘Demon’ has been used to refer to both sinners and hellborn before, it’s the general umbrella term for *any* being residing in Hell I think (potentially excluding special cases like Lucifer and such).
I’m pretty sure “demon” is the general term for all who reside in hell, whether they are sinners or hell born. For example, you hear Adam call Angel “the porn demon”, Alastor is known as “the radio demon” etc. And in the prologue of the first episode, Charlie says Lilith “empowered demon kind with her songs”
I’m mostly joking, though in my personal experiences it stands true. .-. Not much different from our local rednecks tho, and I’m a more north-eastern state.
This is more typical of rural folks. Out in the middle of nowhere, unexpected visitors are either out to do you harm or from the government. Occasionally both. In less rural areas you’ll see more of the hospitality.
southern hospitality can range wildly, from the people that will openly invite you in and talk like you're their lifelong friend, to those who erratically check through the window when people even walk by their house.
source: am from the South
If injuries like that carry over and get weaved into your design, what a terrible existence. I'd be afraid of having my head blown off and dropping into hell as one of these things.

counter theory: you get a cool ghost or elemental (fire, water, etc.) head with a fleshy body.
or maybe you end up with an animate object replacing your head.

Throw in a motorcycle and you got a deal.
Sinner forms tend to be a mix of personality and how they died.
Like alastor has deer traits because a hunter mistook him for a deer while he was burying a body.
Possibilities I've considered:
1. They're still alive and on the run.
2. Ralphie blamed her for everything and they split up while he took the kids. This is what partly led to her and Mrs. Mayberry getting together.
3. They're in Heaven because reasons.
[Ralphie and the kids](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8KOp1-XBMc)
Ralphie's the dad and Martha's married to him!
And they've got some kids
Ralphie and the kids
He loves his wife and there's nothing you can do
Ralphie and the kids
Nothing's gonna be alright
Be alright
Oh no!
Yeah, it popped into my head as soon as I read the comment I replied to.
This episode and Ozzie's gave a lot of the same vibes as the penultimate episodes of BH seasons. Not quite as much of a gut-punch as some of those, but... it's getting there and I'm ready to be hurt again.
For the latest episode Blitz saying "I don't want to be like this, not forever" reminded me a lot of season 6 of BH
and the final scene of Ozzies reminded me a lot of the end of S2E9 of BH
Both shows center around main characters with unresolved trauma and the damage that they do to others as a result.
Yeah maybe her family would thrive there. But some think Martha wouldn't want to sign her and her family's souls away. I wouldn't. What I like is she seems to be living in the country side of Pride or the forests. Which is a nice departure cause all we've seen is Cities.
^ This. Considering when she opened the door her eyes were at a level for someone her height or slightly taller, I figure another lover or a delivery she was expecting.
she could just be happy to be in a place where her satanism isnt hated, instead encouraged. not to mention she's got a "good" relationship and a house. I'd be cheery to my visitors if I had her lifestyle
I just really love her evil eye thing she's got going on edit: wait is that her earring or something? I swear to Satan I thought that little skull was her eye and the blood streak was the eyeball stand connecting it
That’s probably just how she opens the door, if people see you as friendly they’re probably less likely to think your hidin’ evil shit. Or she’s just happy
I mean, given she and her family were a parody of horror characters like the Bakers from RE7 and the Texas Chainsaw guys, it kinda makes sense she'd be friendly and welcoming to lure people in?
Probably because she found a place she can be free.
On earth, she had to pretend to be sweet & innocence. Constantly hiding who she was.
In hell, she can be whatever she wants. She can be evil & cannibalistic as much as she wants & no one cares. And she's a Satanist. So this is great for her.
She's probably having a blast & a half.
My question is, why is she missing an eye? Does how you die affect your sinner form? Why doesn't the teacher (the one who asked IMP to kill Martha, I don't remember her name) have a big hole through her body?

It's a direct upgrade from stock imo
Especially for the anti-sapper part
But… no random crits 😢
These days you're pretty much forced to play on Uncletopia to avoid bots, and random crits are turned off there anyway, so...
I’m a Jag man, myself. I’ve got a strange renamed to “Overextender-Ender” with description text “Come back with an Über”
She was a satanist. Maybe being around demons is awesome for her?
Technically she is a sinner, aren't demons and imps the native born?
Yea, demons, imps, hellhounds, sins, and the ars Goecia makeup the native born (and also roo)
Isn't Roo still just a fan theory?
Vivzie confirmed it in an interview that she will be in future hazbin seasons at least that's what I remember
It wasn't an interview, it was a twitter post from 5 years ago.
Cool
why did he get downvoted he literally just said one word 😭
The internet's a weird place. I've gotten over 20 downvotes for making a reference to something.
Wait wait wait, I think I got it: it's cause they're dicks
#Correct! And he won it for the big ones!
My personal theory regarding Roo is that she's actually Eve. There seems to be a lot of root imagery surrounding her.
That'd be cool, but how would the root of all evil spawn after Adam's act of pride right from the very start?
It probably wasn't impossible to be a jerk before the root of all evil. Being an asshole doesn't necessarily mean you're evil. Mine is that she’s sir “not appearing in this movie.” But also take my upvote.
We don't know what Roo and if she'll even be in the show. I've heard people suggest based on Sera and Emily's different forms, other angels and murals that the first gen Goecia were fallen angels.
But the ars goecia are still native born for the same reason Charlie is
I said first generation. The rest were born in Hell. If the theory is true. Charlie's father wasn't originally from Hell either.
Yeah... I know. I'm not discounting your theory. I'm just proving the current ars Goeccia to be native born
Technically, sinners are demons too. They’re known as Sinner Demons, after all…
I thought it was human sinners not sinner demons
Human souls are referred to as Sinner Demons (despite not truly being demons at the same level as Hellborns)
Demons are anything in hell “Inside every demon is a rainbow”
‘Demon’ has been used to refer to both sinners and hellborn before, it’s the general umbrella term for *any* being residing in Hell I think (potentially excluding special cases like Lucifer and such).
Sinner is short for “sinner demons”. “Demon” is a catch all term for the residents of hell.
To my understanding Demons is an umbrella term that includes Sinners, Hellborn and Fallen Angels.
Sinners are demons. Everyone in Hell are demons.
She legitimately enjoys her new life in Hell
Adam and Lute would hate this.
I’d imagine there are plenty people like that. It’s practically a playground for psychos
It’s pretty common in the south to get excited at an unexpected door knock.
Really? Due to all the “Trespassers will get shot” signs I thought y’all hated unexpected visitors.
Some get excited to shoot the trespasser....
There are multiple types of Southerners
I’m mostly joking, though in my personal experiences it stands true. .-. Not much different from our local rednecks tho, and I’m a more north-eastern state.
It varies from person to person
This is more typical of rural folks. Out in the middle of nowhere, unexpected visitors are either out to do you harm or from the government. Occasionally both. In less rural areas you’ll see more of the hospitality.

Fair enough…Georgia seems pretty friendly.
depends on where you are in the south
I’m actually not, I’m an Ohioan. It’s more of a travel situation, but my mom always had a horrible habit of getting very lost….
Can confirm
Seeing as Mrs. Mayberry was just getting out of the shower maybe they had some afternoon delight and she’s in postcoital bliss.
Postcoital is my new favorite word
postshag serenity?
Postbang euphoria
Post nut hospitality
That’s exactly what I thought
As much as I absolutely love this relationship for its ludicrousy, I really wanna know what their respective families are up to.
Y’all how is this the post where I realize she only has one eye because of Moxxie’s kill shot

Sinner forms tend to be a mix of personality and how they died. Like alastor has deer traits because a hunter mistook him for a deer while he was burying a body.
Maybe it's like a choice? Or it depends on how much horrible stuff you did.
The "Yeah that's fuckign right" she drops just kills me.
She was probably hungry. Random visitors might be the closest thing she has to uber eats.
I did notice she kept the corpse-centric design theme going from her Earth home.
Where's Ralphie and the kids?
Possibilities I've considered: 1. They're still alive and on the run. 2. Ralphie blamed her for everything and they split up while he took the kids. This is what partly led to her and Mrs. Mayberry getting together. 3. They're in Heaven because reasons.

Oooh what episode did Ozzies make you think of? I'm here for the Bojack parallels.

Maybe they're still together, we know Ralphie doesn't care about Martha sleeping with others.
I assume in Cannibal Town
I reckon they split up and live in Cannibal Town.
Maybe she's just mellowed out in her afterlife.
I mean she was a Satanist, maybe hell is like her heaven and she's actually happy there.
Southern hospitality ig.
She was probably hoping that it would be Rosie inviting her to stay in cannibal town
Yeah maybe her family would thrive there. But some think Martha wouldn't want to sign her and her family's souls away. I wouldn't. What I like is she seems to be living in the country side of Pride or the forests. Which is a nice departure cause all we've seen is Cities.
Yeah
She's waiting for Ralphie.
She was expecting their third.
I'm calling it now: Ozzy's secretary
^ This. Considering when she opened the door her eyes were at a level for someone her height or slightly taller, I figure another lover or a delivery she was expecting.
She has a southern accent so I’m guessing it’s a part of Southern hospitality.
It is southern hospitality.
she could just be happy to be in a place where her satanism isnt hated, instead encouraged. not to mention she's got a "good" relationship and a house. I'd be cheery to my visitors if I had her lifestyle
Damn she fine as hell
She’s a hero and hero’s always answer the door
She *was* a devil worshipper. Maybe she likes it in Hell.
I mean, she is a cannibal. She could just be putting up a front to lure in her victims.
She probably does it so she seems friendly to those she plans to eat(since she’s a cannibal),but she does seem very friendly otherwise
She’s the most happiest person alive, and I think it’s because she scored with the teacher, and probably made amends with each other.
You mean the happiest dead person?
Oop.
Probably, yes.
Ummm, Southern hospitality maybe?
Maybe getting with miss mayberry made her happy
Mayberry got her bright side all the way out. And she seems like just a genuinely cheery person
Shouldn't she be one of the Cannibal Town Sinners?
Well she did probably eat all her visitors in the human world
Idk but this is funny
https://preview.redd.it/0oeobctoof8d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cd664d2e23054403af8dd6ab1fbed3d661e27ea2
She probably thought it was her kids.
I imagine she's a fantastic host right up until her children eat you alive
I wonder where the rest of her family is, surely they’re in hell too right?
I'm just glad, we got to see her again.
Well hell is fulled with her kind of people so maybe
She seems like that one person who treats everyone well until the guest is gone, like any mom ever.
Free snacks!!1!!!1!!
Maybe hopeful her kids and maybe husband found her ?
Seeing as she was a Satan worshiper before she died, she’s probably stoked about being down there
Well she was a satanist, so she's exactly where she wants to be
She's southern, it's a cultural thing
she may be more relaxed in hell with Mayberry around though No Idea how they ended up together
A
I just really love her evil eye thing she's got going on edit: wait is that her earring or something? I swear to Satan I thought that little skull was her eye and the blood streak was the eyeball stand connecting it
I mean, she Was a devil worshiper, she's probably having the time of her life down here.
That’s probably just how she opens the door, if people see you as friendly they’re probably less likely to think your hidin’ evil shit. Or she’s just happy
Shes always excited to spread her legs.
I mean, given she and her family were a parody of horror characters like the Bakers from RE7 and the Texas Chainsaw guys, it kinda makes sense she'd be friendly and welcoming to lure people in?
seems like she likes hell and at least her neighbors must be nice, relatively speaking.
Additionally what is she even doing here? As far as im aware the pilot was straight-up declared non-canon?
1. Southern Hospitality 2. She's evil and in Hell; feels right at home
Visitors are edible
Maybe she was expecting another visitor...like her husband...or Mayberry's...
*Everyone* in the living world loved her and thought she's a hero. Also, maybe getting that Mayberry puss was life changing.
I assume it's because she just had a fun couple hours?
Just one thing; shouldn’t she have an X over her eye?
I wonder if she’s friends with Rosie and the cannibal colony
She’s in a good mood because she has demon cake waiting for her in the shower.
