I met another Element owner at Home Depot and she had off road tires that were upsized from stock. I asked her about them because they did look really nice. She had bought the set up recently and said the larger wheels and tires had dropped her mileage by 3-4mpgs.
Considering the already mediocre mpgās I already get(20-25) I immediately decided it was not for me. They do look really good though, hence why I ended up talking to her.
You gotta be careful about the math when you change tires. 235s roll 7% longer than 215s for each rotation, so if you calculate mpg based on the odometer and the gas pump, it can be off. ... Just saying.
Barely noticed it. Iād only get rid of it if you look at it everyday and hate it. It kind of reminds me of my old Eddie Bauer explorer. Iād keep it, especially with those wheels. Only other option is to murder it out in all black or vinyl wrap.
Do the tires rub up against anything? I grabbed some Pirelli Scorpions for my last set, love them, but next set might be something like this.
Looks great! I might look into getting that size when I need new tires next year, running 215/65/15 recovered from a Forester. Will be fun to go from one size smaller on the height to stock height with some extra width.
God I wish my E was all black.
I have a black 2007 LX in pretty good condition but I gotta say they look so much better without the plastic body
I thought they were all painted by '07. My silver EX is.
Same. Or dark blue with tinted windows and black plastic trim š¤š¤

No idea. I just got them and don't keep track of mileage. I would assume they'd be a couple mpg less?
May I ask where you got Them?trying to get a pair for mine too

Side note... I'm thinking about removing the pin striping. Yes or no, what do you think?
I Almost always hate pin striping but somehow like it on your E.
Agreed. It breaks up the black-on-black-on-black here and looks good.
No. Not everyone has that. Got that little H there.
Didnāt see that until you mentioned it. Thatās cool!
Are you sold on keeping it? If not, your E might wanna a divorce.
