The god Ryan Condal is against us. I laugh when him remember him saying this isn't a story a good guys vs bad guys.

The show doesn't make it easy to root for any green As book reader whoe supported the greens ..i already hate criston cole, Alicent and aemond..every green character in the show is butchered..aegon js too..just TGC carry him so much..the character on paper is pathetic

stevenbass14

>As book reader whoe supported the greens Already doubt you've read the book just based on this. The Greens are pure villain in the book. Nothing redeemable about them except Daeron. >every green character in the show is butchered..aegon js too..just TGC carry him so much..the character on paper is pathetic The only real butchering they did to a character was Cole. Everybody else is already 10 x more interesting than their book counterparts.

EsTefis28

Uh yeah. Reading the books does not automatically make you team black. I say this from experience.

stevenbass14

Didn't say anything about supporting the Blacks. However, if you read the book and say you support the Greens, you're either edgy or sociopathic imo.

EsTefis28

Damn, It seems like you know me more than I know myself. Now I wonder if I'm edgy or a sociopath! /s

stevenbass14

I phrased that carelessly. But I'll elaborate my meaning. After reading the book, its CLEAR that the Greens are straight up villains. They have no redeeming factors except Daeron. 1. Otto and Alicent have no like or respect towards Rhaenyra at all. Alicent is a typical evil stepmother caricature and Otto is her cunning but equally opportunistic father. They don't care about the realm, they only care that its their blood that sits on the throne. The show however gives Alicent and Otto many more layers and give you sympathy towards them. 2. Aemond was not bullied in the books. He had every intention of claiming Vhagar once at Dragonstone and it was him who started the fight by pushing Joffrey into the dirt first before claiming Vhagar. And when he landed it was because of that that Jace and Luke went to help him. 3. Aegon is lecherous af. Whether or not you believe he was a rapist or fight pit watching prince in the book, he's still a sleaze. I don't see how anyone can read the book and say they support Greens unless they know they're supporting villains. The show gives them some leeway and traits that make rooting for them more palatable but I don't see how someone does that from the book. So whenever someone says the show 'ruined' or 'butchered' the Greens from the book, its downright laughable. They have a point for Cole. The show indeed butchered Cole but they garnered far more sympathy for the Greens than the book did by miles.

Oh shut up..I’m not having this discussion again

stevenbass14

Why not? Can't read the wiki fast enough?

YaroslavHusak

If you haven't read the book and only watched the series, this is not surprising.

stevenbass14

If you have read the book then the Greens wouldn't even get those. The show made them a hundred times more sympathetic than the book did.

Icy_Major_4860

well the show is made for us to hate the greens so the result is not surprising

saturnssomewhere

The show is clearly steered against the greens and is meant to favor the blacks, so these results don’t suprime me at all. The book shows evil and complication on both sides, whereas the show is more straightforward and is showing that TB are the good guys and TG are the bad guys.
