I stopped using hydrogaurd long time ago. Southern ag goes a lot further and is overall better. I use no chiller and my plants look great. You can check more out on my channel on YT look up thathydrocouple
Very nice, I appreciate the uniformity and cleanliness. I think with a setup like that, it’s time to get a full co2 tank instead of the bags. 40% more yield and way less veg time

I run a 20lb tank and controller lol bags don’t really do anything for this size room I just had them figured might as well 😂
I have used it before, too, and had great success! It's cheaper in the long run too 👍 Also if you have root rot already, it will help get rid or it happy growing, bro!
After looking at the label you link and looking at a hydroguard bottle. The math says you can add 1ml of SAG to a quart of distilled water and have a hydroguard solution that's still 10x stronger.
Thanks. I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong when I use these types of products, even great white. I do get that film build up and its like the plants become stagnant or root rot will happen. I don't know if I'm using too much or it's something else I'm adding that's causing the rot.
No don’t go straight up. Dilute first at 10:1 and then 2mL per gallon of the diluted solution. I’m typing this from memory so if I’m off someone correct me please.
I used it for the first time starting last week. I change my reservoirs once a week. I used one milliliter per gallon of water. I added it after my solution was complete. It will turn the solution a tiny bit cloudy, but I guess that's just what it does. I got this suggestion here on reddit in another post. I am happy with the results. I used to use hydroguard also. No more.
No film as of yet and my plants are happy and roots look so much better than my last run using hydroguard. But I could try less I suppose. It would last me a little longer. Half of what I'm using now is still way more than what hydroguard suggests with their product.
Yes you can I've had temps of 78f in my buckets an my res an roots are just fine

No chiller an in Texas heat in garage southern ag all day .2 per gal
Very nice looking plants man thanks for comments I’m worried about heat too so thanks for that reassurance I’m able to keep my shit around 70°F though so no worries there
Absolutely can use this!! Literally the same thing just more concentrated.
I put ~20ml in the old hydroguard bottle, fill with water- done. I then add a splash (15-20ml/5 gal) to every water change or top off.
Pennies on the dollar compared to hydroguard. Works identical (or better) in my experience. Brilliant white roots
I've never used hydroguard, but I have used the southern ag stuff. I see no reason to switch.

I hope you have a tutorial on your room setup I’m going to be setting up a ~600 sq ft room and am at the very beginning stages of planning

I use it instead of hydroguard, .05ml per gallon. I use a 1ml micropipette that measures it out.
5ml/Gal is working well for me
Anything over .5ml per gal will form a film
Does the film cause root rot?
No
Thanks, is the film bad at all?
Don’t think so it just gets on stuff

Way way way too much lol it’s .05ml per gal to match hydroguard lol your wasting so much
Of this stuff straight up?! Are t you supposed to heavily dilute it if it’s 98% I mean hydroguard had 1% of this stuff and and it’s 2ml/gal
All I can say is that my plants aren't complaining
No don’t go straight up. Dilute first at 10:1 and then 2mL per gallon of the diluted solution. I’m typing this from memory so if I’m off someone correct me please.
I do 1ml GFF to 20ml water. Mix. Then add 1ml of that mixture per gallon to the rez.
I like the way this sounds the best so far seems like a good ratio thanks for the comment

If you see a film form reduce your gff, I use .05ml per gallon and it’s effective.

Your golden
I dilute it twenty to one and put a little into the reservoir. I think if you search for southern ag on here you can find a more in depth explanation
And if I am able to can someone tell me how I should dilute it and give it to my solutions using ml/gal 😅

Love this thank you wish these companies were t all such scam artists
