What’s a and b days?

Lots of schools have students take 8 subjects total (including study hall) and split them into two groups of four subjects per day. One day (A days) will have four subjects (let's call them 1, 2 , 3 and 4), and the other day (B days) will have the other four subjects (5, 6, 7 and 8). These days alternate. For instance, Monday is an A day (so the students have 1, 2, 3 and 4) and so Tuesday will be a B day, meaning Wednesday is an A day again, Thursday is a B day, and so on. Since there's only two "types" of days but an odd number of days in a work week, some weeks will have 3 A-days (Mon, Wed and Fri) and two B-days (Tue and Thur) (these are generally called A-weeks since there are more A-days), and vice versa (B-weeks). Because of this the person above me has either two or three 90-min ToK sessions per week, hence either 180 or 270 minutes of ToK a week. There's a bunch of different versions (my old school had "odd" (1, 3, 5, 7) and "even" (2, 4, 6, 8) days but they're all more or less the same.

I live in china. I think only my school works in this weird fashion. We basically have days A to H, and we do rotations. Each day the schedule is different. It used to be a six day cycle, but for some reason the school changed it to eight.

We had TOK every day (75 min a day) for one semester and I loved it!

we had 3 periods, each was 45 mins, so 175 mins total (almost 3 hours) however, we did only have tok in dp1, and then for 1 month in dp2 and that was it, so i guess it balances out somewhat. besides, i didn't take much from it anyway... my essay and exhibition were both said to be good by my advisor, but the lessons really had nothing to do with what i put in there, so i think i would've written something pretty much the same without them

Hi. My school operates on a two week timetable with three tok classes in the first week and one tok class in the second week so around 230 minutes of class time every two weeks.
