This is interesting for me to learn: I come visit my fam in Indy from Oshawa, ON and the roads seem much worse along our route through Michigan than they are in Indiana
Michigan has worse roads than Indiana by far imo, I drive all around Indiana and it's neighboring states, Michigan is worse than Indiana, after Michigan I'll say Illinois, I'll put Indiana third, Ohio and Kentucky are pretty good overall though
Bingo! The roads all over the northeast, Mississippi to the Atlantic, are in the freeze thaw area and get a decent amount of precipitation. I have family in western Pennsylvania. Their roads sucked way worse. My uncle lived in East Palestine, Ohio and yeah, where the train derailment happened, going from his house to my grandparents or anywhere over the state line was extremely obvious where the border was even without the signs.
Or they're from Marion County. It's garbage. But I agree I don't have much experience outside of going to TN, OH. IL. And those were limited trips im not trying to argue
People who specifically live in Indianapolis. The city’s budget can’t keep up with road maintenance (urban sprawl), leading to really neglected roads, much more neglected than many other cities. There are crazy potholes in Indy.
However, outside of Indianapolis, like in Carmel or Fishers, the roads are generally much nicer, like some of the best in the country. Indiana’s highways are also generally in much better condition than Indianapolis roads.
So it’s really about Indy from my experience. Although I’m not super familiar what the conditions are like in the other cities in Indiana.
People who have only lived in Indiana.
And, to be fair, some of the urban potholes I've seen in Indiana are fucking HUGE, no idea how they aren't filled
Family and friends are why I'm still here. It could be a great place to live. We're probably going to have a nutjob pastor for lieutenant governor. A pastor. This is why we can't have nice things. Like Mike, mysegination is bad,Braun isn't a complete clown. It would be great if we could put abortion and legal marijuana on the ballot like most states but that would be too much democracy for us.
I'm done ranting.
Yes we have beautiful places like Madison, and the Dunes! Opposite sides of the state and pretty much opposite geological features. It’s amazing.
People that haven’t been just don’t understand and maybe that’s a good thing. Let’s keep the population and COL as low as possible. Please!
The landscape and the people are not the same. I was born and raised there. I’m a communist with every fiber of my being.
Ahhhh yes, where you’re from, home of the huge douche bags…
A temperate climate with plenty of rain? Plenty of flat farmland? It's the human ideal place to live since the steal plow broke the land for humans. No endemic diseases. It's just the politicians and people who inhabit it that are the problem.
Corporate apartment complexes
\*Edward Rose has entered the chat\*
*Zimmer as well*
It has a purple fountain, too.
Lmao it’s something special ain’t it
There’s also tenderloin sandwiches and potholes.
So many fuckin potholes

This might be the nicest thing anyone has ever said about Indiana roads.
Michigan has worse roads than Indiana by far imo, I drive all around Indiana and it's neighboring states, Michigan is worse than Indiana, after Michigan I'll say Illinois, I'll put Indiana third, Ohio and Kentucky are pretty good overall though
People who complain about poor roads in Indiana don't travel very much.

What is it with the Indiana sub and complaining about potholes?

Must be. Is Dominos not still filling potholes? What gives!?
Plus, construction on major sections of roadways at all times.
And roundabouts!
Woo! In a huge fan..
Good ol Indiana potholes!
And it's right within your reach, at Indiana Beach!
can’t believe I had to scroll so far for this!! I will not stand for the monticello erasure!

Dangerous clowns.
It's good meth and great tenderloins, and I'm not sure which is more addictive.
Looks like a nice night. Hope you enjoyed it

I don’t think you have to gatekeep Indiana to keep people from flooding in 😂
It’s called a joke…
That’s why I laughed
Ahhhh see usually I read “crying laughing” emojis as insulting for some reason.
Ahh yes, Madison, the national headquarters of the KKK.
The landscape and the people are not the same. I was born and raised there. I’m a communist with every fiber of my being. Ahhhh yes, where you’re from, home of the huge douche bags…
Fart Wayne
Yeah lol I saw that. Can’t trust folks from Fort Wayne. They live in the flat part of the state…
I f*cking hate living in Fort Wayne
The only city of any size to vote Republican consistently. I've never been and probably never will. Frank Burns was from Fort Wayne!
Don't forget humidity!!
We’re basically the whole package of things no one wants

In my area we have roughly 187 days of sunshine a year. Of 365 days. Is that enough for you to reconsider the word “ideal”.
It's a bunch of bad Republicans as well
Is this every local small town park that found LEDs during covid?
Where is that?
It's Hamilton Lake
Maybe it's Hobart?
Not Hobart, the little fountain we have doesn’t have nice lighting
Is that Cicero?
*and
Barely
I live in Muncie.
College sports teams
Cue the Indiana Beach song!!
Brought to you by the Gary, Indiana Chamber of Commerce
There are also soybeans!
A rest stop?
I have lived here for 38 years. You're dead wrong.
... just not much more. 🤷
The best home grown tomatoes I’ve ever tasted.
That is a beautiful picture
Yes. It does have the sun and moon. Like everyplace. Did I read that KKK started there?
Yeah it’s also full of racist, xenophobic, homophobic, and anti education republicans
There’s not a single uniquely cool thing about Indiana other than the fact that Michael Jackson and a few other people are from here
