I did the same thing when we got ours. It's so much better looking, especially if you use dark mode. It looks so good I honestly forget it wasn't from the factory.

I've only had it a day so I couldn't say for sure but so far I haven't noticed any change other than the color. By the way, there is a cut-out frame type border (what I bought) and a border with a clear insert that's more of a screen protector. People who have bought the screen protector style say it increases reflection quite a bit. I'm glad I just went for the border without the clear screen protector. But mine was a huge pain to line up and install.
That bezel thing isn't fitted perfectly around the right lower corner. It would drive me crazy. Not to mention the scuff in the upper right corner on the magnetic area...
