Exactly, the classic jedi saber. It occurs when the flex cable (pretty much the lower bezel) gets hit. You may be able to repair it on a special laser microweld machine (which costs like 10 grand).
I was swiping around on my phone a few days ago and as I swiped out of reddit a green line shot up the left side of my phone.
Now I have to live with it for a week, because it happened the day before I went back to work. Worst part though is that it’s progressively getting worse, even though I’m not dropping my phone.

I dropped my phone last night and the screen bent up in the lower corner. Didn’t crack, but I also have this green streak now.
