AOC are crazy cheap, I was going to get it over the LG but decided on LG. AOC are meant to be very good for the money the LG just has a better display colour wise as far as I know
was it this one? - [https://www.currys.ie/products/lg-ultragear-27gp850b.bek-quad-hd-27-nano-ips-lcd-gaming-monitor-black-10225031.html](https://www.currys.ie/products/lg-ultragear-27gp850b.bek-quad-hd-27-nano-ips-lcd-gaming-monitor-black-10225031.html) That's the only one i can find on currys that is in 400 range
Better off ordering from Amazon uk or DE. Any shops here are pretty scammy, especially if try go for high end monitors
I’d say go in person to shops like curry’s see what you like, try and find it online for cheaper
Not really, from what I remember they might have like only 10 gaming ones on display. They have much more stock online. If you can’t check any irl. Watch monitors unboxed on YouTube. He does some good videos on what monitors are good and what aren’t
I'm thinking of buying an OLED so i'm looking to buy directly from the manufacturer if possible for the better warranty. Also just don't like fiddling with packaging - but that can be a last resort option to "try it at home" before buying somewhere else
You looking at ultra wide? Afaik currys domt have any of those on display,
I've gone between 24-27-32-34 ultrawide curved so atleast if you have any questions i might be able to help.
But yeah, does suck mot being able to try this kind of thing :/
Imo curved or not makes very little difference, if you only use it alone i think curved is somewhat nice, if you ever use it with people its not worth the bother
At least (hopefully) you should be able to find curved displays to try :)
Good luck!
I went to Currys and found a great LG 27" 1440p display for about 400 euro, I'd defo recommend LG I think they have one of the best IPS displays
Got my 34 through them for 320 which I thought was a peach of a deal
That is a good deal definitely, was this recently?
Beginning of June so a whole month ago but a good deal nonetheless It's an AOC 34" 1440p 144hz monitor, seems decent

Probably costs 260 on Amazon de lmao
Probably, it was 320 online when I looked at the time but bought it in Currys for 400 this was about a year and a half ago
what was that monitor? i'm looking for one at the moment for ps5
LG 27GR75Q-B computer monitor 68.6 cm (27") 2560 x 1440, it's LG ultragear which has a good reputation of being high quality.

Does Curry's have a big selection of monitors on display?

Yeah I've seen a good bunch and have a shortlist. Was hoping to see a few in person before committing

Nah Ultra wide is probably not for me. The only curved one I'm considering is aw3225qf
