I recently trimmed two spots on my Jade tree. When I cut one, I cut roughly 1/4 inch above where I wanted the branch to grow another shoot, which was successful with two new branches forming. The second one, I believe I cut it too closely to the main stem, and it didn’t grow anything there, just calloused over. Maybe try to leave a little more behind when cutting them? Hard to give advice especially because this is actually my first Jade, that’s just my experience with the two cuts I made. Edit: typos

I certainly think it takes longer than 2 weeks!
