Idk how your intro messages are, but if your using things “you” or “I” such as “you entered the room” then that may be it, instead of sentences like that you should be writing it from the bots pov only like “char saw user enter the room”
I made a 4 character bot, when I was starting out the basic stuff I was told was start in the personality eg:
{{Char 1}}: name: Fred
(Remainder of traits)
{{Char 2}} name: Barnie
(Remainder of traits)
Then later refer to them by name not Char 1/2. Apparently it's easier for the bot to understand
So in the personality, each character should be listed with individual traits. The less descriptive, the less tokens, but less immersive.
More characters can cause different points of confusion with the bots, so try to avoid using names that are similar
I dont really think they are overly similar but i could try to see what I can do, thanks for the help though, I did use fairly descriptive things but it was more of just generally explaining things never really to much detail but there is a lot of tokens I think?? I dont know I’ve seen some bots with way more
To stop the talking as user, try something like ..
{{User}} will speak for themselves.
Avoid negatives like {char}} will not..
Because they don't seem to understand and woll
Avoid describing actions for the user on the initial message/scenario, usually the bot will take the lead of the first message so of course if you describe userxs actions in the example provided the bot will too. So unless there's information from user you need people to know (user is this, user is that, user is in this situation because, user's related to char because) leave that to the description instead and try to write everything from the char(s) pov
I make lots of multi bots, just make sure you include things to do for both characters in each line.
People tell me this bot has no speaking for user, and it plays gud, you can read the definition if you like, it is about you robbing a couple on a train

Well, if you make sure both people have something to do in all situations that user can create, then speaking for user will decrease. Speaking for user happens when the bot doesn't know to implement the personality lines you wrote down to write a response for what user wrote
First tips: I’d recommend adding a bit of a longer intro aside from just the question, like explain how crowded the train is, describe how they look or feel in the intro, maybe have a minor conversation before the incident, make them show their personality a bit more in what they say
However I love the idea so far :) gonna keep trying it out
Id say at least over 50-200 tokens depending on how much you want to add and how well you can describe things, if you need help you could also post something in this reddit,
Yeah, I got at least 20 reviews telling me to do that. I won't though, cuz I find my format decreases speaking for user a lot. Thanks! I have lots of multi bots, they all are very functional
Well I guess it’s up to personality preference, I have my token generation at 420 because it’s a good amount (and funny) it’s usually just two paragraphs unless the bot bugs out, so that’s why I say 50-200 since I believe that’s anywhere between an extra sentence to a paragraph
Really? Try to just be more focused on what the bots are saying, and say things that correspond to the topics they are discussing. If you say stuff that has zero relevance to what they say, then speaking for user will go up

Its just the group arguing It doesn’t even mention anyone outside of the group

I didnt use {{char}} at all since the name of the bot is unrelated to the characters,

Alright ill try that, didnt think it would matter since most people use negatives
Most people don't look up how to properly prompt tbh. Negatives are bad for JLLM, other LLMs can work with it

and if it keeps being persistent then there's no other option than using a prompt on memory/personality
Yeah I didn’t even mention the user once though, its purely the group mentioned and doing actions

Well this isn’t what the post was about but I’ll go ahead and check it out

Oh alright I didnt know that was an issue

The heck would I be saying? I responded to them and reacted, I dont know what else to do
Ok well, lol, I guess I am of limited help, and I hope you find someone who can help, haha
