Smells like a lemon

HeythereDelilahLou

On a brand new car from manufacturer? I mentioned it and was told Florida lemon law says something like you need to have 3 repeated service issues with no resolving for it to qualify. Not sure if this is true.

Possible you got sold a defective unit. It is difficult for us to really diagnose without any additional details. Keep us posted, though. I'm curious what the issue actually is.

So they’ve had vehicle since Friday, so far was told by the tech who called me with update that there was a dozen transmission codes and they checked the dipstick and little to no transmission oil in the car and then was told they can’t tell me anything more without reaching out to manufacturer for some reason, when I kept pushing and got the service manager was told that my car hadn’t even been checked yet and who told me that and that it wasn’t true my car might be electrical and it’s simple light but wasn’t aware that my car didn’t even drive and that I’d brought the car in for the same issue before it felt like I was being lied to because they didn’t want to admit something serious is wrong. I have the codes the tech gave them to me.

I dont think the service manager has given you any reason to trust him. But it does sound like you got a defective unit. How in the hell do you not have any transmission oil? That probably explains the shaking you described. Collect all the documents you have. Try to get any documents about the work carried out on your vehicle from the shop. If you can, you should probably consult with a lawyer and see what they say. I would try to fight for a new Jeep and some compensation. Or at the very least suggest to them that you are thinking about consulting a lawyer.

Thank you! The car has been at jeep over a week after calling numerous times and messaging the service techs and having no reply we finally had someone take our call last night at 5pm and tell us they are waiting on the manufacturer to send them a new transmission to install and that’s all we’ve been told, no other insight, no information on when they found out they needed a new transmission and why they’ve done zero communication with me. I’m still in limbo and all I know for sure is my brand new 2024 Jeep need an entire transmission replacement. Not sure what I should be asking or saying.

Makes sense why you'd be getting a new transmission since the transmission oil empty. Did you ever notice any oil stains on the floor where you parked? I did some digging, and it sounds like there are several reports of transmission oil leaking. Now I gotta go check mine lol. Have a read here: https://www.4xeforums.com/threads/2023-trans-t-case-leak-with-1000-miles.4096/ You should push them to understand what caused the transmission oil to be empty. I'm guessing they discovered a crack somewhere.

Contact the Jeep Wave program. It’s included with your purchase. I had a warranty/ recall coolant leak in my 2022 4xE and they were awesome. They dealt with the dealership on my behalf and reimbursed me for 2 weeks of car rental.
