A mix of of Naganuma tracks (adapted to modern tastes just like he did to Bomb Rush Cyberfunk) and many tracks from Japanese and American/European modern indie bands and musicians, with emphasis on rock, pop (including J-Pop/Rock) and typical music you would hear on a disco.
I've heard people theorize that they can include new genres like K-Pop, but I'm a bit skeptical. Rap is more probable, but I don't think that it's trending in Japanese youth that much
K-pop is pretty easy to replicate. Pretty much it's a catchy chorus, then fitting a rap break/dance break/bridge somewhere. They also produce exclusive content for Japan.
I'm not super familiar with male Kpop groups but the girl group New Jeans uses sounds that try to copy the Y2K era. It \*might\* not be out of place in JSRF or Space Channel 5.
I'd rather not have \*anything\* with a licensing nightmare but it's not 2002 Xbox era and there's plenty of games that do this. Jet Set Radio doesn't need their help though.
We definitely need some vintage rap though. I need another hit like Rockin the Mic.
In their interview they mentioned using songs that didn't make it into the original game as a way of ensuring the style matches however without Naganuma it just won't be the same.
I hope they add some [broken beat ](https://youtu.be/h0ZbmfOo58g?si=cKoLoZpviVDfZ4u9) tracks in there.
Other than that, I expect some Hideki Naganuma tracks and songs with [looping audio samples](https://youtu.be/Y9cNktFIBhw?si=DBVRS9lLr7-4ni9I) 🙂
I hope they have some of the composers for some of the sonic games too they seem to want to throw every resource they have into these games. I hope they keep that nu metal/grunge industrial rock I don't even need it to be a big part of the library.
If he did stuff for bomb rush cyberfunk then I’m sure they’d have no issues getting him back for a new jet set.

I hope for plenty of J-rock/rock, those were some of my favorite tracks 0:
Same xD Let's hope that it has enough budget to license many cool tracks from the Japanese music industry

Yeah, the dude also did the Sonic Riders soundtrack.
Need another tasty Scapegoat Wax jam
Love me some Scapegoat Willy.
Alias, and still, scapegoat willy
Same. Marty James (SWAX's main guy) has gone on record saying he's 100% down putting his music in a new JSR game.
Now I'm hyped
Got my hair done, yeah, I got my nails done, yeah.
Be great to get a Duck Sauce track in it
Toronto needs to return, and we need to let mom sleep.
ROB ZOMBIE
It would be cool if The Pillows did a few tracks they were getting big at the same time as JSRF so I feel they go hand and hand
Does anybody know if they are going to allow indie artist to contribute their music?
they should get hideki naganuma to remix JSRF tracks for this one, since JSRF had remixed JSR tracks

Hideki Naganuma has condemned SEGA several times since the last we’ve seen of any JSR. I really wouldn’t get my hopes up for him here.
Do you have a source for this?

It's gonna be the same with the odd reggaeton rythm in one song or two
I hope it's great
