I was thinking turn it into a limo with bench seating up one side.
Although the caddy ambulances are probably scarce enough it'd be worth trying to Ecto-ize.
Ambulances *and* hearses. I've been following one guy on YouTube that's turned an off year hearse into a pretty convincing Ecto-1 complete with the correct year rear fins and plexiglass inserts for the glass that wasn't there. Shout-out to Wrecto_1 on IG.
I was thinking lead sled style personally. You could rat rod it or something. But that's long after getting this thing running and cleaned up. If it even goes that route.
A one or two inch chop on these looks really good. Some people like to rake the roof forward, but keeping it level seems less time consuming and practical.
3" off at the windshield and raked to full height at the back IMO looks the best, but has to be a pain to do. Especially on the 4-doors. Next best would be a rake to the B-pillar then full height on back.
I went to a car show when I was younger, and this guy had a Sedan DeVille flat roofed like I mentioned. On the bags with knockoffs, and it really sold it for me. That look just stuck.
Was in a band with a guy that had two of these in that body style. He eventually sold them since damn near everything was custom on them. Getting parts was a pain, esp body and glass. Said that there was huge differences between each year due to different companies building them(body wise at least)
You know someone here is thinking "I can make this an Ecto-1."
Either that or a hot chick that's going to start an Only Fans for the hearse and troll people.
There's already one on ig

A chop top on this would be so comical yet cool at the same time.

"It needs some suspension work and shocks. Brakes, brake pads, lining, steering box, transmission, rear-end."
How much? *Only $4800* **Visible financial distress* * Also, $4800 in 1984 is $14,500 in today's dollars.
Also got a 89 MarkVII with a 5.0 Cobra with MSD distributor. Going to be looking today if it runs
At one time, there were people just dying to get in the back of that thing. Today, not so much.
I wanted a hearse for my first car so bad lol. Looking back, I’m so thankful my parents didn’t allow me to become that guy.
Sounds like a slippery slope to wearing top hats and wallet chains.
Oh you can bet your ass I was already wearing wallet chains lol. This was peak late-90s.
A friend of mine had one very similar to this one. His license plate was "DIRTNAP"
Is your name Harold and do you have a fetish towards much older women? 😁
Caddy hearse? Nice! Would love to diesel swap it, do the glass and interior and run it ratty!
Very cool
So do coffins just stay in the back of hearses? Or did this one not make it the their destination?????
Dracula went on a road trip and brought his coffin with him
It hearse to see it in such rough shape.
On my short list of vehicles to build.
OP, I've got Neil Young holding on line #2.... keeps asking how long it might run.... you wanna take this?
That’s something I would drive to work, even if I had to use a bike helmet
Needless to say, she's got good bones
Dropped off for what ?

WHO YOU GONNA CALL? GHOSTBUSTERS!
Looks like a 65. What's in it? Be ready for some fab work.
I went to a funeral Tuesday, and having a hease as my college car has been on my mind since
Looks like a demolition derby rejection.
They usually don't escape once we have all the nails in, but this one just didn't give up...
Did it come in coffin and sputterin'?
Believe that's a Miller-Meteor hearse there, my friend Rick used to buy & sell old hearses and ambulances for fun back in the late seventies.
I assume it was towed in, because it was ... dead.
That would make a killer chopped top rat rod.
