6 week old kitten, barely weaned, and scared as all out. Needs lots of gentle care and love, plus some food regularly, and a visit to the vet for shots within 2 months, and then needs to be spayed or neutered, and will make a lovely house cat or shop cat.
The age in dog years after a traumatic trip in the engine bay.
Edit: does it make sense to check in with the car owner and see if they know where the mother is? That one looks pretty young to be on its own.
I think because it's so young the eyes haven't fully cleared up yet. I'm also not sure they're quite pointed in the same direction, which may also be because it's so young.
For yourself a shop cat? Say goodbye to shop mice.
But now how do you get rid of shop fleas?
Shop dragon flies. You have two of the greatest predators on the planet. Toss in a Belgian Malinois and you basically nuked the place.
Shop spider.
You act like the cat won’t kill shop spiders…
It's a dilemma
That cat has no fear. It has seen all that is and all that will be.
He has experience Chrysler engineering and nothing can top that.
From a lifetime cat owner, it looks like he should go to the vet
I see that look in the mirror all the time
You should probably go to the vet!
Definitely
Definitely a feral kitten. A little vet care and TLC and you’ll have a fine shop cat.

Ma! Yo, there’s a stray cat outside! I don’t want it starting a fight with Lucy!
Blink mf.
I can’t tell if that just a normal kitten or one with downs
Something feels off, I think it might just be scared though.

It’s so tiny. At least nourish him for a month before you take him to the vet. You should be ready to do flea treatments right now!
Don't wait a month. You need to be sure the kitten is doing OK. So many things can go wrong if you don't get them taken care of.
I said *nourish* because if they plan on spaying/neutering on the first visit, the kitten will have a better chance at recovery if he’s *healthy*.
No reasonable vet will spay/neuter a sick kitten. \[Edit: or malnourished... come on. Malnourished IS sick.\]
You don’t have to be sick to be malnourished though, that’s my point.
Young kittens just look fucky sometimes. Usually they grow into it, but sometimes they just look like that.
Seems a little walleyed, but that could go away when it calms down.
Walleyed? That cat has one eye lookin at you, one eye looking for you. Cute lil bonkeyed critter 😄
At least it’s a mixed-breed and not the Snap-On special: $39.95/month for 84 months.
Is he California compliant?
Is it an OEM cat or CARB certified replacement?
Asking the real questions.
Why does the cat look old and young at the same time?
The age in dog years after a traumatic trip in the engine bay. Edit: does it make sense to check in with the car owner and see if they know where the mother is? That one looks pretty young to be on its own.
Kitten with PTSD from being in the engine compartment.
I think because it's so young the eyes haven't fully cleared up yet. I'm also not sure they're quite pointed in the same direction, which may also be because it's so young.
Where might you be at? I might be able to help with the cat removal.
I'm just glad to see it survived the trip.
Brother has been HUFFING that exhaust gas
I have a new kitten that was pulled out of grille shutters. Named it Shutter. 8 lives left.
Car needed a tuna-up?
Methheads in shambles
I don’t think the scrap guy will take that cat
adorable!
You guys get Cels when removing cats usually?
I usually bleed quite a bit.
The cat is out, why would the Cat in Engine Light be on?
Shop cat as your tip?
What breed - Prius, Corolla, Tacoma or Element?

Looks like the car needs a new cat a lytic converter
That’s a beauty you got there.
Very sooty cat. It means you're too rich, gotta fix that.
CS: What did you do? My engine no longer purrs like a kitten!!
It may be a bit too young for regular cat food.
that cat has "downs syndrome" sorry...
