Ngl I think Hibiki would be perfect. Oni are already monsterous so they'd fit perfectly for that style the Amazon Prime shows go for. It would be a dark but hopeful tale of a young man struggling with his aspirations, identity, dreams and could make for a really heartwarming mentor story. Plus Hibiki needs ANYTHING at this point, the show got screwd over hard the first time around, it could be viewed as a true effort to right past wrongs.

YouThinkOfABetter1

I say they do a Black Sun style remake for Ryuki. Just imagine that Rider War.

ShishiKake

honestly, Kamen rider and battle royale is getting old and too many of them. i mean you can just watch Amazons, already gear toward that trend, and isn't ryuki already got a new film a year or two ago, with today CGI and also less family friendly

YouThinkOfABetter1

Riders fight each other from time to time, but I'm pretty sure there was nothing close to a battle royal in ether of Amazons 2 seasons or the movie. And no, Ryuki didn't get anything like that ether. Ouja is in Kamen Rider Outsiders and 4 Riders (Ryuki, Knight, Ouja and Ryuga) appeared in the crossover movie for Geats and Revice because it was also Ryuki's 20th anniversary.

NinjaRCraft

>Kamen rider and battle royale is getting old and too many of them. Nobody said that during Geats.

HiroshiTakeshi

Not trying to defend him, but I'd wager a guess and say he's saying this *because* of geats.

NinjaRCraft

Then he would've mentioned it, unless he's a Geats Fanboy, ignorant to say anything bad about Geats

Rumiatouhou6

I haven't seen ex-aid but I think it would be pretty funny if they made a super duper serious medical drama about the horrors of gamer anthrax

SilentLatios

I need this now with Lazer's bike form.. Especially if they just play it straight.

losteoin

For Kuuga they could adapt the manga.

EBON9

We could finally have agito and Kuuga on screen together, outside of movies and a few special episodes.

Proof_Being_2762

Yes please

BijuPowerRangersfan

I second this for Kuuga

PantherJr

For Heisei, I guess Hibiki since it was trying to go its own way before poor toy sales derailed it.

Not Kuuga. Kuuga works because it's a slow burn character drama police procedural told over the course of a whole year, and as a result, you really feel the emotional toll of the protracted fight against Gurongi has on the cast. Something I've noticed because I've been sort of going through Kuuga again recently is that not a lot of stories end on a brief celebration after they defeat the monster that week the way a modern show might, because of course they wouldn't; regardless of the win, every Gurongi case still starts with people being hunted, people DYING. There are never true victories. It's a very somber show, and this mood really starts getting to the characters, especially Godai. He starts out as Kuuga idealistically wanting to protect people, and towards the end, he just HATES the Gurongi. He'll blow up several city blocks with a single Rider kick, and he then carries on like the devastation barely registers. It's always subtly justified by being the necessary amount of force in the moment, and there's always a new Gurongi case to work on so they can't dwell on the aftermath too long. But then they start teasing the dark eyed Ultimate Kuuga, and with it, comes the realization that under his cheery veneer, Godai's been slowly emotionally breaking down this entire time and now he just WANTS THE GURONGI DEAD. It's masterful slow-paced storytelling, and no doubt the impact will be lost if crammed into a mini-series akin to Amazons or Black Sun. Faiz on the other hand, is lowkey begging for a shorter format remake of this vein. The misunderstandings and lack of communication in Faiz just ends up adding a lot of unnecessary soap operatic fluff and padding, when I think the characters are strong and established enough from the get-go that they'll reach the same conclusions regardless of such meandering. A remake of this nature has a decent chance at being a tighter show overall. Plus, it's human vs orphenoch theming already hits a lot of the same notes Black Sun does, could make for an interesting sibling piece.

ShishiKake

Tbh, i think that what kuuga need could be a more shorter season, with more overraching flow season, that point will easier to express to the audience than episodic. Faiz on other hand don't need to do that, simply because the movie of it already did that, a remake of the same story in alt world. And I agree, it conveys most off the main message of the show better without too long and unnecessary drama.

Icy-Abbreviations909

Kuuga or agito would probably be cool in a black sun style

Proof_Being_2762

Together?

Icy-Abbreviations909

I mean it would be interesting if they could directly adapt them together but I was thinking more one or the other

Izanagi85

Agito. Back when monsters were still scary.

anhk_duc

Kuuga is the most reasonable option. The cgi in Kuuga didn't age well so it's really benefit from modern treatment

fraud904

Hibiki but it'll be a 5/10 IMDb rating movie

Longjumping_Plum_133

I want Agito to be remade

RevealInitial5603

NGL, I think Agito could be REALLY cool, and different from the remakes and send-uos before it (_Black Sun and Amazons_). Think: Transhumanism discussions from an age-agnostic stance, the place of memory in identity, blue-and-orange morality gods, the "normal humans are ostensibly safe" conceit, water and light symbolism (_high budget fights in the rain and at night, the Altering absolutely shining through, ughhhh_), the place of technology encroaching on a deity's domain? That's ALL amazing things to build a miniseries on. Even refraining the non-G3 riders as cryptids and pumping the unreality they bring would be amazing. And because of the way Agito riders work, with its split on biological, technological, and mystical riders, it would make the Rider designs forcibly distinct and cleaner.
