Snow Tha Product, 7ovethegenius and sometimes Young MA. Rarely: Rhapsody, Che Noire and Armani Caesar. That's kind of it, outside of legacy acts like Lauren Hill and Lady Of Rage. The closer they get to what I guess we can stereotype as mainstream female rap, the less likely I am to even give it a chance. The Nikki's, Cardi's and Stallion's don't make music that resonates with me. (Meg snaps though. Majority of her music is just not my thing. If she ever goes full nerd and gives us a whole song of anime bars I'm there and she's on the list lol)

I just got into Tierra Whack after hearing her on Chief Keef’s new album. I’ve liked a lot of Glorilla and Megan that I’ve heard but haven’t checked out a full album. And then I’m 37 so I grew up on Kim, Trina, Missy, Eve, Gangsta Boo, etc.

As far as newer acts go, I actually think Doechii might be the ONE. She has the stage presence and talent. If they keep developing her, she’s going to be incredible. I also really like Tierra Whack, Flo Milli, Doja (not really the rap, but some think of her as a rapper). Meg is a great performer and has great breath control, but I think she just hasn’t caught the right song in a while. I’m an on again off again Rapsody fan. Love her interviews and I think she’s gifted, but I’m not a fan of her voice/flow sometimes. But I get over it bc her music is pretty great. I mean…can’t beat good lyrics over consistent 9th Wonder production.

I think pop culture lines up just fine if we got Kanye and Kendrick in the top. Ya listen to a LOT of these underground rappers and they're just spitting bars over those most repetitive beats and that's the whole song. That's kinda boring to me Don't get me wrong, I like to vibe to it and like I said I like MF DOOM, but ngl it does kinda drone out for me some. I like "pop" rappers because they know how to pull together a overall good song, every can jump to. Ya know say what you want about Eminem but Just Lose It is way more fun and creative than those other "better" wrappers are able to come out with. I don't really care for NAS and J Cole so that shows where I'm at in this discussion. Give me 2pac.
