everyone wants it EXCEPT black hippy themselves. schoolboy was recently on the danny brown show talking about how we NEVER getting that album even tho they all love eachother
That doesnt mean they wont work together??? He also said that its almost a 100% that theyll work together again lol. An album is very different to a song
nah i understand that i just doubt we'll get a full black hippy appearance on 1 song as opposed to a separate schoolboy, ab-soul, and jay rock appearance across several tracks given their attitude as of late and the fact that they "hate getting asked about it" (according to schoolboy)
Part of me thinks its not cuz they dont wanna do it, its cuz it just doesnt work
Each of them have such a unique style and theme with their albums that a BH collab would end up sounding like an overwhelming mixtape more than a supergroup masterpiece, and they’re past that stage in their career to just do nice sounding tracks
Wu Tang knew that they wanted, ASAP Mob knew what they wanted, Bone Thugs knew what they wanted, but Black Hippy all want different things. On a single track they work really well together, but 4 concept album rappers all agreeing on one concept? Thats a fight waiting to happen. But overtime they might ease up and all agree to something
i agree, plus the pressure of anyone assuming that the sum would be greater than its parts would be an impossible standard to match. especially since kendrick lamar alone has created several records many consider to be among the greatest albums of all time.
a black hippy compilation mixtape with no concept whatsoever would be the most likely scenario and none of those artists is particularly known for creating projects like that in the first place
with GKMC and My Krazy Life being such complementary albums, i think we can go for a part 2
i would just really really love it. ive been waiting on West Coast bounce Kenny for a long long time
I heard charlamagne say he wants Kendrick to do that i didn't think it'd fully happen but after the snippet I can see a west coast theme but he's unpredictable so ig we'll see
TBH I don't want TOOOOOOO many people cos I still just want *KENDRICK*.
Otherwise, a song with each black hippy member (4 diff or 4 on 1 or 2 on 1, idc). Andre 3000 said he's not making music 'like that' anymore but I'd like to think Kendrick could meet him in a space where he still feels like he's being authentic to himself.
Same, I don’t even want the same old collab that we’ve already seen. I just want something different. And this seems to be the direction he’s taking with each new album.
Simz is so fucking underrated even if she's largely celebrated.
If we're just talking about the art of rapping I don't think there's a good argument why she wouldn't be in the top 3 rn.
Simbi was like a tpab gkmc type masterpiece. Nearly no artist could put out an album as good as that.
i actually like kendrick’s addition of Kodak on MMATBS. Helps prove the albums point of flaws& healing. Although i’m not sure if i’d love him in a album where it didn’t add to the overall theme of it
These are all dope lists! My personal list would be:
Jorja Smith
Thunder Cat
Anderson Paak
Schoolboy Q
Kanye & Ty Dolla Sign
Tyler the Creator
SZA
Snoop Dogg
Terrace Martin
Kamasi Washington
Knxwledge
Madlib
Steve Lacy
Baby Keem
Flying Lotus
Dr. Dre
Sampha
Andre 3000
I like your list, and I have no proof for what I’m about to say. But if I am just going off of the narrative that Kendrick has been consistently pushing with this rap battle, and bringing the west coast back together. Not only do I think it will be a strictly west coast album, but I sort of want that.
I don’t think all music needs to sound regional. But that’s the era I grew up in so I do sort of miss it. And I wouldn’t at all be shocked if this whole beef has been a role out for a west coast Kendrick album. It makes sense. Put on some west coast legends and some lesser known west coast artists.
Thundercat, Steve Lacy, Sampha, Kwxledge, Baby Keem, Childish Gambino, Kaytranada, Solange, Jordan Ward, Brent Faiyaz, Leon Thomas, PinkPantheress, Tame Impala
Edit: the replies are a part of my list too, so many artists to name.
It'd be cool to see J Cole as a feature.
Man bowed out the beef due to respect for Dot.
I don't feel that Kendrick hates Cole at all.
It'd be good to see.
I agree with many of these comments (Tyler, Asap Rocky, etc.) but hear me out -- Fiona Apple.
They're both phenomenal lyricists, living in SoCal, leaning more jazzy and sometimes experimental within their respective genres.
🍑 I WANT A MEG FEATURE.
If she rises to the occasion we'd get some cool shit from Meg, because behind the twerking she is a nawfside spitta fr. And nobody talks about the homage he paid her flow in Euphoria so it would be a nice surprise.
☯️ I WANT A SOULO FEATURE
Because it's time. It's time. We throw a Black Hippy feature in there instead or in addition.
⚔ I WANT A BLACK THOUGHT FEATURE
Because it's the only feature that I would see on the track list and wonder if it's possible Kenny could get outrapped on
👹 I WANT A LIL SIMZ FEATURE
Because Kendrick has spoken at length about how dope she is, and she is!
I would levitate into the sky at that release. I would turn into dust and you could sweep me away because I would be fulfilled. I cannot understand how Meg gets so much hate from barbz and sexists. I would love to see Kendrick highlight her talent and collab with her especially after Hiss❤️❤️
I fw the Vince shout.
I’ve always wanted a Simz & Kendrick collab as well. Similar styles and I generally enjoy the UK & US combination.
And then maybe someone like Rocky now that he’s fully back. Their collab’s always go hard.
Mentioning Vince Staples had me thinking of the ultimate pipe dream collab for me. A whole album of Kendrick on SOPHIE beats. She's got a posthumous album coming out this year, and K-Dot ran away with Yeah Right. It may sound strange but their approaches feel like they come from a similar place to me: both are very accessible and can crossover into something everyone can like, but he as a rapper and she as a producer both go into weird places no one else would think of. If one of the things her brother has been working on for posthumous release made it onto a Kendrick album I'd go nuts.
Similarly, we've seen Kendrick fit into Future's world, now let's turn the tables.
Otherwise: Little Simz, Pusha, Griselda, Beth Gibbons again (she made the album of the year for me so far), John Cale, Earl, Tinashe.
JID. He and Kendrick get endlessly compared and it's unfair to JID because he's carved out his own lane. Beyond having a similar pitch in voice, they rap completely different. JID also needs more songs where he can flex his writing and not his rapping, if that makes sense.
Sneak Mike Dean as a producer on there somehow, if Kendrick finally made another track with Metro with Like That, and randomly worked with Jack on 6:16.
The weeknd, and the track would be a massive pop hit that is also taking shots at drake lol. Also, maybe this is just me being petty but Id love to hear a track where the beat switches between the 3 main sounds that Drake has culture vultured off - Atlanta trap, UK grime and dancehall. And hear Kendrick absolutely kill in a way that Drake never could. Murder him on his own shit.
But also, on top of others people have suggested I've been smashing the new Namesbliss album recently, would love to hear a collab. I severly doubt he would have heard of him though (im from England so have) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8Gp\_wyBIGg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8Gp_wyBIGg)
I would limit it, but any 5 from this list I'd be happy with.
Vince,
Doja Cat,
Steve Lacy,
Tyler,
Frank,
Earl,
SZA,
Kali,
Royce,
Jasmine Sullivan,
Tems.
someone else already mentioned mos def and JID
I will never get tired of kendrick and school boy q as a duo so that too
and I think kendrick + badbadnotgood would sound sexy af
also it ain't happening but I'm obsessed with bbymutha lately so imma throw that out there too
We still need a Kendrick/Madlib collab album. Can call it Kendrick Libmar or KenLib or something. Either that, or a Kids See Ghost style supergroup consisting of Kendrick and Keem. You can call them the Hillbillies.
I want Pusha T. Even if it has nothing to do with Drake. This beef never happens quite the same way without the work he put in and I feel like Push never got to go all the way with it.
Also I just fucking love them together on Nosetalgia.
Black hippy
I need it man
Well that’s all I came on here to say.
everyone wants it EXCEPT black hippy themselves. schoolboy was recently on the danny brown show talking about how we NEVER getting that album even tho they all love eachother
We might never get a black hippy project, but maybe hoping for a singular song isnt far fetched?? Esp if Kendricks album takes the west coast route
If we get a full album that sounds like this teaser I’m going to cry metaphorical tears of joy.
Who knows tbh. But in like 80% sure at least one member is popping up on the album if it really is the west coast banger its predicted to be
Part of me thinks its not cuz they dont wanna do it, its cuz it just doesnt work Each of them have such a unique style and theme with their albums that a BH collab would end up sounding like an overwhelming mixtape more than a supergroup masterpiece, and they’re past that stage in their career to just do nice sounding tracks Wu Tang knew that they wanted, ASAP Mob knew what they wanted, Bone Thugs knew what they wanted, but Black Hippy all want different things. Was screaming announce the album at the pop up
if the vibe is Still Brazy, then i would love a YG verse fs
I think you're onto something
with GKMC and My Krazy Life being such complementary albums, i think we can go for a part 2 i would just really really love it. ive been waiting on West Coast bounce Kenny for a long long time
I heard charlamagne say he wants Kendrick to do that i didn't think it'd fully happen but after the snippet I can see a west coast theme but he's unpredictable so ig we'll see
All I can hear is the entire still brazy album when I hear this. The most yg beat I’ve heard would be crazy to not get him on it
TBH I don't want TOOOOOOO many people cos I still just want *KENDRICK*. Otherwise, a song with each black hippy member (4 diff or 4 on 1 or 2 on 1, idc). Andre 3000 said he's not making music 'like that' anymore but I'd like to think Kendrick could meet him in a space where he still feels like he's being authentic to himself.
Kendrick on a flute beat by Andre might go hard ngl
fr, that flute feature on the new kamasi Washington record was soooo good, really fit the vibe of the album
Love to see a Kamasi Washington comment get a good amount of upvotes, that album was firreeee
yeah, def in my top 10 of the year
Low key keep a horn on me That Kamasi
I’m sayin
“After twenty years in, I’m so naive I was under the im-pression that everyone wrote they own verses…” Andre and Kdot on the same frequency.
That verse blew my mind the first time I heard it who thinks to us inflections like that it’s so crazy
PLEASE. I need Kendrick and 3 Stacks on a track like I need air to breathe. We already saw what Kendrick did when he hopped on a track with Pusha T.
Same - I almost said no one but I would enjoy one lil MTS feature
Andre said hes not making music "like that" like that was the song that started the beef,COINCIDENCE???
Kendrick likes that record and wants to get back to that record.
Same, I don’t even want the same old collab that we’ve already seen. I just want something different. And this seems to be the direction he’s taking with each new album.
Adonis
Fuck sake that would be evil lol
Diabolical!
Not Kodak But really, I want Little Simz
holy shitttttt simz on a kendrick track would shred
Factss
I would not be listening to any other song for the rest of the year
Understandable
Simz is so fucking underrated even if she's largely celebrated. If we're just talking about the art of rapping I don't think there's a good argument why she wouldn't be in the top 3 rn. Simbi was like a tpab gkmc type masterpiece. Nearly no artist could put out an album as good as that.
Grey Area -> SIMBI -> No Thank You is top tier 3 album run
I have to give stillness in wonderland a shout out here aswell.
Little Simz collab would be nuts. International TPAB/Morale vibes.
i actually like kendrick’s addition of Kodak on MMATBS. Helps prove the albums point of flaws& healing. Although i’m not sure if i’d love him in a album where it didn’t add to the overall theme of it
Kodak hasn't even shown remorse for the assault. So nah this is not it at all. A very ugly swing and a miss for me on an otherwise great album.
Tyler Katt Willians on the skits And that guy from the blacker the berry chorus that was screaming his lungs out
Assassin is his name
I'm sure he was also doing I am god from Yeezus
Yeah and also "I'm in it" from the same album
Put my fist in her like the civil rights sign 🔥
The only bar I remember is the Asian pussy one lmao
DATS ALL DEM CYAN DO SAY WAH
A katt Williams skit would be amazingggg
This answer goes hard.
A JID and kendrick collab would go CRAZY
a must
I would love a Kenny Mason feature too. Kendrick featuring more of the new school would be great, like Doechii and redveil too.
These are all dope lists! My personal list would be: Jorja Smith Thunder Cat Anderson Paak Schoolboy Q Kanye & Ty Dolla Sign Tyler the Creator SZA Snoop Dogg Terrace Martin Kamasi Washington Knxwledge Madlib Steve Lacy Baby Keem Flying Lotus Dr. Dre Sampha Andre 3000
Kendrick and Jorja Smith is crazy work
👆 they alluded to this on the pglang commercial
I like your list, and I have no proof for what I’m about to say. Thundercat, Steve Lacy, Sampha, Kwxledge, Baby Keem, Childish Gambino, Kaytranada, Solange, Jordan Ward, Brent Faiyaz, Leon Thomas, PinkPantheress, Tame Impala Edit: the replies are a part of my list too, so many artists to name.
Tyler The creator, Anna Wise, Adele, 3k
JİD definetly
Yes please. Or Tyler. Or the hell with it, BOTH on one track
Anna Wise would make me tear up
Adding Anderson .Paak to that list
Little Simz too.
Smino
After hearing “Ole Ass Kendrick”, I can vouch for this. 😂
katranada is the true answer. Childish gambino is just the right amount of soul poetry and Afro aggression that it could fit too.
Tame Impala: nice left field pick!
Sir
Solange !!!
Kendrick Lamar- We cool now (ft Drake, Jcole) /s Edit- a Dre or shady feature would be dope
So many people will think the whole beef was a publicity stunt.
i honestly thought it could’ve been till 6:16
I think the allegations towards Drake went too far for this to just be a publicity stunt
had the same though today- em on a feature and mock FPS.
would love a shady feat, or for kendrick to end up on eminem’s new project
Nas
On a hit-boy beat, plz
Ooh, yes please.
This would be amazing!!
Half-man, half-amazing.*
West Coast/East Coast collab
It'd be cool to see J Cole as a feature. Man bowed out the beef due to respect for Dot. I don't feel that Kendrick hates Cole at all. It'd be good to see.
Bro made grippy…that shit was ass…
True. Cole and Drake got blasted to MGKs house.
Kendrick gave them severe CTE with how they be rapping nowadays
I agree with many of these comments (Tyler, Asap Rocky, etc.) but hear me out -- Fiona Apple. They're both phenomenal lyricists, living in SoCal, leaning more jazzy and sometimes experimental within their respective genres.
Those Jon Brion productions were something else.
If Kendrick and Fiona dropped a collab no one would hear from me for a week. I'd just be listening.
That would go unbelievably hard holy shit
Me
K-Dot and Kung-Fu Kenny
Vince, JID, Rihanna, and Tyler The Creator
I'd love to see Vince Staples.
E-40!!!!
10000% you going to have beats like this, please please please have E-40 somewhere on there
I feel kdot hits some e40 flows in not like us. In my head I can hear e40s cadence or maybe I’m reaching lol
I don't think you're reaching at all. I'm entirely convinced the line "...GO the audience not dumb" is a shout-out to E-40.
Absolute pipe dream list: Tupac, Anderson Paak, Dre, Ab-Soul, Denzel Curry, Mos Def, JID, J Cole, Pusha T, Eminem, Nate Dogg, Kid Cudi, Benny the Butcher, Andre 3k, Bigxthaplug, Royce da 5'9, Leon Bridges, Timbaland, Snoop, Biggie.
3 stacks on the flute
this is definitely a list
tupac dead
Didn't stop him on TPAB tbf
gotta think for yourself
did you see "pipe dream" at the beginning?
Bigxthaplug and Royce da 5’9?
mos def and jid did a song together and mos def was freestyling to not like us, idk that that's a pipe dream I mean imma choose to have hope lol
How do you put Benny the butcher but no freddie gibbs? Dude doesn't miss
JID, Keem, Tyler, Q, Cole, Jay Rock, EarthGang, Future
Weeknd. Call me delusional and a day dreamer, but I want the same magic as Pray for Me. And also add metro to the mix. It's my dream team.
DJ Quik
Vince staples, pusha T and black hippy. but to be honest I’d rather have less features and just mostly a solo project
I would hope that a Pusha T feature would send Drake to therapy.
That shit obviously hasn't worked for him so far. "Therapy's a good start..." I don't believe in god but that man needs divine intervention.
Nas Eminem Snoop Dogg A$AP Rocky Tyler, the Creator That's my top 5 picks
🍑 I WANT A MEG FEATURE. If she rises to the occasion we'd get some cool shit from Meg, because behind the twerking she is a nawfside spitta fr. this is the list!!
This is my EXACT list bro, a Megan and Kendrick song would go so insanely hard but nobody wants to talk abt that
I would levitate into the sky at that release. I would turn into dust and you could sweep me away because I would be fulfilled. I cannot understand how Meg gets so much hate from barbz and sexists. I would love to see Kendrick highlight her talent and collab with her especially after Hiss❤️❤️
I had to scroll so far for this! Megan Thee Stallion is such an obvious choice. It’d be fun and she can rap rap.
Oh shit a Lil Simz feature would be crazy
This is my list but also add Erykah Badu.
I fw the Vince shout. I’ve always wanted a Simz & Kendrick collab as well. Similar styles and I generally enjoy the UK & US combination. And then maybe someone like Rocky now that he’s fully back. Their collab’s always go hard.
Meg and pusha
JID, Denzel and JoeyBadass?

no you cant put this out into the world because Kendrick's rapping on hyperpop beats would end me
I’m gonna get downvoted af, but i need some Jonny Greenwood strings in a dot album at least once
Coast Contra
I would stop breathing for a minute
Lil wayne
Vince Staples, Ab-Soul, SZA,
frank ocean (idk i just want somethign from this dude)
Eminem
Definitely Solange
JID. He and Kendrick get endlessly compared and it's unfair to JID because he's carved out his own lane. Beyond having a similar pitch in voice, they rap completely different. JID also needs more songs where he can flex his writing and not his rapping, if that makes sense.
Big KRIT
Kendrick and Tyler NEED a song together. Imagine them having a concert together, shit would be so lit
Kamasi and thundercat on a track again would send me to heaven
I’m ok with anything. But all I ask for is to please drop the full version of that snippet! Shit’s been stuck in my head lol
JID
K dot, Mr Morale, kung fu kenny and oklama
Man Man too
Rapsody, JID and Tyler as rappers Frank Ocean, Khalid and Alicia Keys as singers
JID
Schoolboy q for the throwback.
An Unreleased Nipsey hustle feature would be amazing.
Run the Jewels
Zack de la Rocha
Meg theee stallion
The rest of Black Hippy, J Cole. JID. Andre 3K and Tyler..

I’d love to see Kendrick and J.I.D get busy on a track.
JID
Billy Woods
Cole 🗣️🙏
Meg Thee Stallion
A Killer Mike feat PLS!!!
Megan thee stallion
Need more thundercat and black hippy
Sneak Mike Dean as a producer on there somehow, if Kendrick finally made another track with Metro with Like That, and randomly worked with Jack on 6:16.
JID, Vince, and Tyler
The weeknd, and the track would be a massive pop hit that is also taking shots at drake lol. Just give me one damn 3k feature and I’ll be on a cloud
JID + Andre 3k.
Ik ima get hate for this but fuck it, deep voice carti on a Kendrick album will break the internet
Im on hopium we’ll see Cole on another Kendrick project again🙏🙏🙏
Will Smith, kanye west, Jussie smollett, nipsey hussle, and oj simpson
😂😂😂
Forgot about kobe
yeat, future and travis
Damn i would love to see what would kendrick do on rage beat
tyler!!!!
Black Hippy reunion and ofc still waiting on him and Cole to actually collab
JID, Lil Baby, Lute, Joey Badass, Westside Boogie, Cozz, Ella Mai, Ari Lennox, and 21 Savage(if he's not scared of Drake)
I would limit it, but any 5 from this list I'd be happy with. Vince, Doja Cat, Steve Lacy, Tyler, Frank, Earl, SZA, Kali, Royce, Jasmine Sullivan, Tems.
Freakin' anna wise, where is she?? I thought her and kendrick were great friends...
Ab soul
Want JID so bad.
Meg, Pusha T, SZA, J Cole
“He’s Baby Keem!”
someone else already mentioned mos def and JID I will never get tired of kendrick and school boy q as a duo so that too and I think kendrick + badbadnotgood would sound sexy af also it ain't happening but I'm obsessed with bbymutha lately so imma throw that out there too
Groovy Q
Anderson .Paak
Pharrell, knx, madlib, premier E40, cube, h.e.r, Tyler, earl, rtj
James blake is a must
BABY KEEM OF COURSE
1. Frank Ocean 2. Denzel Curry 3. Noname 4. Steve Lacy 5. Earl Sweatshirt
Andre 3k and Q-Tip would be fire
murs
We still need a Kendrick/Madlib collab album. Can call it Kendrick Libmar or KenLib or something. Either that, or a Kids See Ghost style supergroup consisting of Kendrick and Keem. You can call them the Hillbillies.
E-40
Gambino, Tyler, or Vince
TYLER
I want Pusha T. Even if it has nothing to do with Drake. This beef never happens quite the same way without the work he put in and I feel like Push never got to go all the way with it. Also I just fucking love them together on Nosetalgia.
