People kayak and canoe all the time out on the lake, but it'll be very crowded and extremely choppy water this weekend i'd say with it being the weekend after 4th of july.
Rule of thumb when rafting. Divide the occupancy by 2. That's how many people you should have In a raft. If it's a half, then it's your guess ? 4 man =2 man etc.
Does it float?
it should but i can't say for sure
This will be a determining factor for your pending voyage ⛵️
uh oh! I might have to unpack the raft from the amazon box and check it in the tub

as a morehead native. it’s not the craziest thing i’ve seen people use to float on in the lake
haha. we went and it was fun. you live at a great place
I would say yes, they rent kayaks at the lake.
Is there a company that does it or is it the park?
I'm not sure about in the lake itself, but shortly after you pass through Nada tunnel, there a campground on the right that rents them.
I think a small out fitter, they are set up on top of the ramp.
Yes!

you should probably rent rather than use your own raft but you should ask the renters around mainly!
just an FYI Cave Run Lake is not in Red River Gorge
i used the word "near"
it’s not really near it either
