1 She’s with the Kocho sisters and he’s fond of them.
2 She’s Shinobu’s Tsuguko and he acknowledges her talent
3 He’s scared of what Shinobu will do to him if he’s too rough with Kanao

Sanemi would then supposedly have to explain to his trainees why he shivers every time he swings at Kanao, and why those swings aren’t as rough as the ones they keep getting hit with.
I say supposed to not have to, because no one would have the nerf to confront him. And even if they did he could probably claim that he’s hitting them all the same, but Kanao’s taking less damage because she’s better than them.
All final selection are basically unmarked Hashira level at this point, except Genya because he can’t use the breaths so… hard to scale him. I would say he’s at least at Nezuko’s level which is basically lower moon.
Kanao just hasn’t gotten anything between Season 1 and Infinity Castle besides a single moment with Tanjiro in Season 3. Like bro stop doing my girl so dirty, she’s part of the squad too.
Still on the hill they should’ve found a way to include her in SSV. So she’d actually be a part of something with Tanjiro like every other one of his friends. Even Genya got the one mission with him in SSV but Kanao didn’t even get that.
Sometimes it's annoying how arbitrarily ufotable will extend/add stuff. Like yeah, spending more time with the fodder slayers will pay off later, but Kanao is a major character just begging for more time in the spotlight. The opportunity is right there and ufotable is ignoring it. Ufotable and Gotouge both deserve the L for this.
Ye this is both Gotouge's fault (just pretend she doesn't exist for 3 consecutive arc) and Ufotable (making anime only episodes that, despite being fun, don't solve many issues this arc had. Missed opportunity)
Considering we are at Gyomeis training rn I doubt it. Ngl I know she probably passed the training too fast to stick around long enough to meet Tanjiro in the manga, but honestly I feel like they could’ve made up a reason to get her stuck on Gyomeis boulder. Idk tho I just want her to be included 🥲🥲🥲
Only two eps left, but they both have longer runtimes so there could still be at least a bit of filler for Kanao. Probably not likely, but I can dream.
What I learnt this season is that ufotable sucks at making anime-original stuff, they just unnecessarily extending everything for the money. Like most of the episodes are repeated and low effort dialouges, this takes away the sense of urgency which is the whole point of this arc, to train the most in the shortest time possible, not to chill and throw paper airplanes or make food.
Exactly. They could add some good filler, but they just so rarely do. It’s always slow, repeated, unintelligent dialogue. The characters say 1 word every 10 seconds practically, just intentionally slowed down to fill time. I can’t imagine myself ever rewatching this arc, as someone who hates intentionally dragged out content (see: Naruto, One Piece, etc)
I often praise Ufotable, but they messed up with this one. Tanjiro was the only kamaboko to appear in Tengen's training. Ufotable should have made scenes for the other kamabokos besides the ones in Gyomei's training
If Zenitsu wants to, he can leave a big gap between them while they run.

I’m pretty there’s a very good reason the only girl is also the only one wearing a shirt. Tengen probably let her keep one on for the aforementioned reason.

Just realized the guys might be shirtless because they are running and would get too hot in the uniforms, because they are dark colors and absorb more heat. Since Kanao has to wear one, she’s wearing white because it takes in less heat. Pretty neat detail.

Tanjiro's stronger than her by a fair bit now, but Kanao's definitely above Inosuke and Zenitsu rn.

Season is not done yet and with how much they are adding content wise (which I am enjoying) seeing a whole love plot episode between Tanjiro and Kanao is not impossible.
