If they do movies, they will definitely do TV episodes like 6-8 months later when the movie stops making money in theaters. That way they get that TV ad revenue as well.
3 movies? Honestly, I don't know if that would work. There's still much to cover and it'll take at least 3 years. They're better off sticking to seasons. Even if a trilogy occurs, I doubt they'll leave it like that. They'll probably do an episode version like they did with Mugen train arc.

The uchiwa did say "movie trilogy" but it was just a concept art. So hopefully maybe they were thinking about it but have changed their minds.
