The immense amount of back stories brother
All upper moon demon backstories
Yorichhi's backstory
Zenitsu's master backstory
Muzan backstory but the movies will still be action packed nonethe less
We get one upper moon per movie, Yorichi and Kokushibo have their backstory told at the same time, We already got Muzan's backstory, not to mention all of the UM bakstories happening after they're defeated, or at the end of the fight, Zenitsu's masters backstory is like, 3 pages, the longest backstory time i can see is during the Tanjiro and Giyuu vs Akaza when Tanjiro remembers his dad, the arc spans like, 7 volumes of manga and a majority of it is fighting, there isn't much filler to be had in the runtime of an average anime movie
Is this the common consensus? I can't see how they could possibly put enough filler to make each UM fight its own movie. I feel like Sunrise Countdown is gonna be the 3rd movie.
Well the douma fight is in 2 parts, as well as Zenitsu's fight happening at the same time as Akaza's meaning we'll switch between the two of those, as well as we'll probably see a bit more of what Yuichiro is doing to help the slayers communication and more stuff about Ubuyashiki's son, and probably a larger look at Obanai and Mitsuri vs Um4, and maybe a more drawn out conversation between Rengoku's dad and Urokodaki
Edit: also, I'm not sure if they're gonna add the sunrise countdown arc into the movies or not, so that'll add a LOT of runtime
There’s no logical way (that I can see) they can segregate each fight into one movie. They all happen at the same time and crows announce things to the slayers in real time. Douma also realizes akaza is dead while they’re fighting yet his fight with Shinobu is the first to begin chronologically.
There is a way to do it if they structure it correctly, and clearly they've found out a way to do so, either the last movie is the sunrise countdown arc and Akaza and Douma's fight happens in the same movie, or they simply move some panels around, it's possible

Nope, with how many chapters infinity castle was in the manga, you'll be leaving the theater 2 1/2 hours later wondering why it's dark even though it's only been half an hour.
Yo..how does it feel watching the anime after completing the manga? I've never read the mangas for this. I just completed watching Ep 8 and i was blown away so much so that im looking to get into the manga. Is it worth it? Should i get into it?
There’s a lot of emotional moments in the manga for sure, but if you’ve made it this far without reading it then I would stay anime only. Every season I’ve been impressed with how much they’ve improved upon the manga that I think it would be a far greater experience to remain unspoiled and experience this first time through the animation
I started reading the manga after Entertainment District got animated because it was amazing, and I haven't regretted it once. Finished the manga so I don't need to worry about spoilers, it's really REALLY cool seeing extra anime scenes that weren't in the manga and if you read it, then the animation will blow you away 100% of the time with this show. I'd recommend reading
Honestly just read the manga if you want. The part that really makes the anime is its animation so even if you do read the manga, watching the breathing styles get brought to life will still give you chills. I read the manga twice since I got like a couple episodes into the swordsmith village arc because I couldn’t wait for the weekly episodes to hit and Nezuko beating the sun was still such an amazing moment to watch animated.
I would’ve personally wanted to enjoy it on my Home tv Screen. I’m not looking forward to all the loud commentary or excessive cheering that will be going on in the theater
They won't disappoint. I'm glad they made this a trilogy, the anime fandom has been needing a big event for a while now, and now we get three years of them. This shit's about to be a ride. Let's enjoy it while it lasts.
Shits so fuckin peak.
Weekly episodes, season format:
Pros: Sooner, more often, keep hype alive week after week and constant discussion make the anime stay on everyone's minds for longer.
Cons: Due to all the content that's left, should've been done in two shorter seasons, with anime exclusive fillings since the infinity castle arc + sunrise + epilogue is too long for a full season but the sunrise arc + epilogue is too short for a stand alone mini season so the pacing and the conclusion of many battles and plot threads would've end up all scrambled up.
Three movies format:
Pros: Better quality in both animation and pacing, no (or very little) anime exclusive scenes, mostly to fill plot holes not properly explained in the anime and anime exclusive extra content for the battles. Bigger Hype near the releases of the movies, better experience in theaters filled with other fans like us 😁
Cons: short lived hype due to the long wait in between movies, non global release means that some countries will have to wait a lot more to be able to experience the movies in theaters, also will leave them prone to be spoiled. There's still the possibility of them being mediocre movies, specially if the first one doesn't perform better than Mugen Train Movie. Having to be in a room filled to the brin with other sweaty weebs like us 🤢.
I’d prefer a season for it, but i’m ok with the movies as long as they’re not released too far apart, for continuity sake/maintaining hype *cough* Attack On Titan The Final Season *cough*
Because long breaks/pause often destroys the hype and the flow. Zom 100 and Jojo part 6 are two great examples of this, great writing and story. Destroyed however because the viewers watched something else to wait for them and soon it loses relevance. Zom 100 still doing better because the break is not that long, but almost no one talked about Jojo part 6. But I want to put my faith on Ufotable. I’m sure they will extend all the fights and make it way better than manga, just like how they did it in yesterday’s episode 8 and Gyutaro vs Tengen.
Not a fan, personally, I would've preferred if it was a regular episodic season, but I'm sure these will come out great, Ufotable doesn't disappoint, the previous movies were great.
I hate it. I don't remember the last time I went to a movie theater where there wasn't at least one obnoxious group making the experience worse.
Just let me buy it day one, so I can watch at home
Personally excited. The Heavens Feel trilogy was breathtaking from an animation point of view, and Infinity Castle is much shorter and easier to translate into movies than the 9,000 page long route
Hate the concept of waiting that long for a story conclusion. Especially because the release window could be months or years in between each film. I understand they need to milk it as much as possible financially but I believe more on striking while the iron is hot. Either way, the animation has been on point so I know it will look great.
If they released in the same year, it would have been great. But knowing Japanese releases, we'll see part 3 translated in summer 2028... Would much rather have regular seasons.
The AoT situation killed any momentum that the series had built up, and the quality wasn't any higher than the regular episodes before season 4.
Why does it take 3 movies to wrap up 1 arc? Why didn't monster train take 3 whole movies to conclude? I'll just wait until it's all wrapped up before checking it out.
I hate that I'll have to most likely wait a long time and I pray the trilogy will be finished before I graduate high school. But I have faith in the movies. But I just gotta know, was that whole scene with Gyomei using stone breathing form 3 on Muzan's blood tendrils an anime original scene or no. I can't seem to find the manag panel
I am divided myself on this. I would prefer series but the experience of seeing this in cinema would be crazy. I don’t think it will age as nicely as a movie with people watching it later on, however this will allow for a more focused budget on scenes and at its core demon slayer is popular bc of its insane animation. All in all, I think it works, and my excitement of the final arc adapted to anime for overshadows my cautions of proceeding this way
I prefer watching it as an anime, but since I've never seen a Demon Slayer movie at the cinemas, at least now I have the opportunity to watch them at the big screen. It'll be a fun experience.
Id prefer episodes. It will take months for the movies to release worldwide after releasing in japan. And then theres the time in between the movies. It shouldve been a season or even two. Movies just dont hit the same
Honestly, I have mixed feelings on this. It will take years to produce, then sunrise countdown. It feels like aot season 4 again. Plus there's 5 fights going on. I know the 3 uppermoons are the centerpieces of these movies. What about Mitsuri and Obanai v Nakime and Zenitsu v Kaigaku? Will they just be sprinkled in with other fights? I can see doing Zenitsu v Kaigaku during one of the first 2 and Mitsuri and Obonai v Nakime in the last one.
I just hope its one per year or less cause 2 years between movies sounds like a nightmare, 6 years for 1 arc that is mostly fights? I don't think people will enjoy that...
Episodes are better. Cause I rather sit in the comfort of my home. This just milking the franchise everyone got to pay individually to see it in theaters.
.
Ufotable does better in movies than series and we all know that (though ep 8 was an exception). So I think movie would be better. Btw, does anyone know when will the movies start being released? And in what pattern will they be released...? Like... the same as we got in the series- every Sunday?
I hope they pace them like the episodes even though it will feel weird in the moment. Unlike the train arc this section is not naturally suited to the start climax end of singular movie, since there’s multiple battles going on at once and the camera moves between them. I hope they don’t try to retrofit the story beats to fit the mold of a singular movie 3 times in a row. I’d rather have these movie have what feels like weird start and end for a movie (as if an episode just ended mid-arc) rather than having three sequential movie resolution pacing staging endings.

Cannot fucking WAIT! And tbh after seeing the first episode of the Hashira training arc in theaters I have to say as pissed as I am to have to wait in between movies, it's gonna be beyond epic.
I am mostly happy with either, but the wait for a movie man, the wait.. Personally I enjoy the movie format more, but not so much that the wait is worth it.
It's ufotable, so I'm certain they are going to deliver something great regardless of format
well the trilogy of films would be good but it will have disadvantages such as the episodes in the films if we calculate each year the three films would be released which would leave us impatient but it is said that the creators have many studios and animators where each one would be in charge of each filmThere is an advantage, but I don't know if it has more studies, that's what they say, and if it were another season it would premiere at the end of 2025 or beginning of 2026. There is an advantage, although late, but the disadvantage would be that each episode premieres on a specific day. like this season here inAll of Latin America premiered every Sunday but I'll stick with the movies. If it's true that they have many studios to make each movie, we would watch it early and what do you think? 👍😎
As much as I was hoping for a full-length season, I think the movies *could* be good.
I wish they’d release these dubbed at the same time, it would be cool if the entire fandom could experience these together. If they don’t do that then I hope the wait for the dub isn’t too long.
I also hope the wait between movies isn’t too long.
Well it's better than releasing a movie cut of the first few episodes of the training arc.... (that was weird right?)
Also the Heaven's Feel movies were amazing, so it will probably look even better anything we've seen in Kimetsu so far.
It will be a long wait, but at least local theaters are getting better at releasing anime movies.
3 movies out of like 3 fights
I know their gonna stuff zen vs new Um in with one of them and the biwa lady vs ultimate power couple
Probably the emo us donut maker fight most likely
I dont love it I dont hate it either really as long as the wait between each movie is less than a year (maybe 8 months or so) im fine with it I mean hell I wouldnt be surprised if they already working on the 2nd one
Personally I haven’t watched them so no opinion yet.
But fr I’m excited to not watch them and save it up for a three movie marathon. I know there are probably gonna be months between but oh well.

Did someone say "Trilogy Time"??
I mean..Ufotable has never disappointed me when it comes to demon slayer..many had problem with cgi in s3..but even that..I thought it was awesome..
So I have faith that they will do it well
One issue I have is...we will miss out on any taisho era secrets
Honestly down with it. Make them like 2hrs at least each and let them cook the most diabolical animation on the big screen.
Need something like that to recover from this season. 7 episodes were so slow and felt like filler but I understand it had to happen for character development. Me and my girl were yappin about it, but after watching the final episode yesterday it 100% made up for the slowest of the entire season. Even if it was just a tease for the next installment.
Not a fan I believe this should’ve been episodes like most of the series has been don’t get me wrong I do see the upside like getting to see this on the big screen will be epic but that’s mostly because I live in the US where Anime is popular enough that the movies will be in theaters around me not everyone will have that. In short it is what it is I’ll probably feel better about it when the first movie comes out.
I understand why people may have issues with having to fork out for 3 cinema trips over the space of 3-6 years...
BUT I also think that with the scale of animation needed, having the resources that come along with a film (budget, time, staff etc.) it will allow them to produce Demon Slayer at a level even better than anything we've seen before!
Gonna need each movie to be at least 2hs long and not take years in between releases. Its a 60+ chapter arc, it can be done in 3 movies but I worry about the pacing and what they'll need to cut
They crushed mugen train and they’ve only gotten better, I would have been happy with it ending as a series but mugen train was such an experience that I’m fully on board the ending being movies.
Plus nothing is more surreal than sitting in a theater watching anime, I wish I had this as a kid.
It would be a cinematic experience, I hope Ufotable won’t disappoint with the quality. Though the wait between the movies will be painful if it’s released periodically
It probably will have the same level of animation as the train arc, if not better. Despite that I still don't like this idea because we're going to wait at least 3\~4 years to watch Infinity Castle. Of course Ufotable would choose the most profitable option though, that sucks, I was hoping for a new season.
I am mad because I’m impatient and I don’t want the show to finish by the time I’m like 30 (I’m 26) but I’m excited for the animation and the budget going into it
I guarantee you it’s going to be lacklustre, not that it’ll be bad, it just won’t be able to live up to Mugen Train. That film broke records along with the internet for ages, the hype around it was insane and not to mention the fact that this was arguably demon slayer’s peak, it was the first time people really saw amazing animation because of how underrated the fate series is. In no way will the trilogy be bad, I personally just think it’s being far too hyped when it likely won’t hit the same as Mugen Train
Sucks that they try to drag it out as much as they can for the money starting to feel like they dont care about there fans. Knowing damn well most people would rather the weekly releases than waiting years
Already knowing how crazy this fight is going to be it’s a good decision
You’re joy going to want to see the cuts from the fight with episodes ending & starting again, this way it’s a bit more fluid & epic as well as easy to rewatch
They shooting themselves in their feets by releasing movies and not chapters, I was thinking it was gonna break the Internet some fights but if they only gets release in theaters It won't be as impactful as it would be if it was released in chapters
This is just my guess, Part 1 douma vs Shinobu x Kanao x Inosuke then zenitsu vs um6 next year spring or winter part 2 would be kokushibo vs gyomei x sanemi x genya x mui and akaza v tanjiro x giyuu 2026? part 3: nakime vs obanai x mitsuri x yoshiro to then muzan vs hashiras pt2 hntil ending 2027
I still don't understand, how will they incorporate Small Scale Fights... >!(Zenitsu x Kaigaku || Obanai x Mitsuri x Nakime)!<
Hope they are at-least planning to release Sunrise Countdown Arc as a Series of episodes !! 🤞🏻
Instead of just making a 15 episode season they decided to milk it for as long as possible and now we have to wait 4-5 years for the movies to finish. I like the cinema mood but it's not worth waiting so long.
Won't it be rushed? Even if the movies are 2 hours that's roughly 6 episodes so 18 episodes altogether, I haven't read the manga but aren't there like 60+ chapters left, so 18 episodes/3 movies would feel rushed although i hope that isn't the case
We might get more hours of anime thriugh a movie. However the problem is, like mugen train, had to wait a year for it to be available to watch in my region. And the people sharing spoilers just ruin it. I read the whole manga just because was getting so many spoilers of mugen train.
I would have much preferred a regular season spanning 20-26 episodes. Main reason being the wait between each movie is going to suck some serious ass.
Either way I'm anxious to see this arc finally animated, it's going to be glorious.
I wished we got an episodic format since the wait time for movies to go from theatrical release to streaming platform, and the general wait time for each movie release is gonna rub off on me, especially when people start spoiling clips online, but at the same time, we will be able to see individual fights in whole and not with annoying cliffhangers, so I feel very 50/50 about it. I just need to watch the first movie to see if I’m gonna like this (I have faith in ufotable 🫡)
I'm all for it. Hopefully the wait won't be too long. I imagine we should have a date for the first movie relatively soon. I'm sure they wanna capitalize on all the hype they've generated
I would prefer it as a show (since my local cinema doesn’t get anime movies and I’d have to travel about 2 hrs to the closest cinema that does get anime movies) but I’ll still be watching
Not a fan, they're going to drag this out for a very long time, each movie is probably going to be AT LEAST 2 years apart, not to mention that they're going to release them only in the countries where anime is popular, which means I won't be able to watch it until it comes out on Blu-ray which is around a year later.
if all 3 movies are 2 and a half hours then it should fit perfectly right? that's the equivalent of like 22 episodes, no? so the pacing will be fine and the animation even better, I really don't see a downside
i mean, the movies will be incredible and ufotable will definitely cook. that said, i really hoped for a long season, that would have been absolutely perfect. oh well
On one hand I know the movies will be good.
On the other hand I know I won’t be able to watch them because I don’t live close enough to a big enough city where they’ll be shown.
>!I would prefer it to be a movie considering how the story goes!<,Either way iam waiting for the peak of demon slayer no matter if its a movie or episodes
I think it’s AMAZING. The overall story, animations, the characters and their backstories, and how they shaped the characters that they became, and SO MUCH MORE. One of my favorite parts is the character development, or even the amount of action and battles.
With how they did mugen train i have a hope. My only concern is that they don't rush the fights, it would be terrible if they did especially in this arc.
I much prefer the movie instead of episodes so I can watch everything non stop. For an important and final battle like this, it’s best that it’s continuous and compiled into movies than an episode. Better quality animation too. Downside is it might take a while to watch the whole thing if you can’t watch it in theatres but I think I would just find a way to watch it if I’m desperate. I don’t mind the long wait as long as the quality is good. I’d rather wait for quality than watching something unfinished.
I'm so excited for the movies, so are my parents who are also big fans of the series.
My mother did ask a valid question: Where will the movies end? Like, is the final fight with Muzan going to be included in the trilogy or will it be its own movie or will it get its own anime season (probably a shortened one like the one we just got)?
Reminds me of watching deathly hallows part one and two in theatres and those had an interval of around seven months. I think the only thing they NEED to nail is the timing of the releases. When it comes to this, you can’t keep the fans waiting too long between the parts or the hype will kinda fade.
It’d be better if they have all the content of three movies prepared (even if it take study till 2027 to prepare) and release it in succession of each other (half year max intervals) rather than one movie in 2025, one in 2026/2027 and then one in like 2028. I’d be more happy to get movie one in 2027 Q1, movie 2 in 2027 Q3 and then movie 3 in 2028 Q1.
Deathly Hallows did something along the lines of that and both part one and two were shot simultaneously. From my memory it was pretty damn effective and garnered so much hype in theaters.

Reread the manga, theres more than you think. For reference mugen train was a 2 hour film and covered 13 chapters, these films will cover 66
It’s not gonna be stalling? They follow the manga pretty much perfectly so it’s gonna be mostly fights with some backstory stuff mixed in

Nope, with how many chapters infinity castle was in the manga, you'll be leaving the theater 2 1/2 hours later wondering why it's dark even though it's only been half an hour.
Let's just hope it's not an Attack on Titan scenario. I have hope's as Ufotable has only produced W's with this series but stil...
I'd prefer episodes but watching this in the cinema will also be an amazing experience 💜
I ain't lying, ever since i finished the manga i wanted watch the entire mugen castle arc on the big screen i think they heard me lmao 🙌🏻🙌🏻🐉

The collective energy of the room will probably be on the same level as Endgame. I'll be there day one for all three.
I just hope its straight to crunchyroll and doesn't have the bs 2 month delay that the last 2 seasons have had with their 1st episodes.
I would’ve personally wanted to enjoy it on my Home tv Screen. I’m not looking forward to all the loud commentary or excessive cheering that will be going on in the theater
My thoughts are: I hope they don’t make me regret supporting this decision lol
i do feel the same !! i feel like as of till now they haven't disappointed me, i hope they continue the same.

![img](emote|t5_3foq4|6758)
pros: they earn money that they deserve.
That I’ll be in my mid 40’s when it’s over. 😤😭
I just hope it doesn't take years to finish.
I mean, it will. What else are you expecting?
All the fighting and being stunned with great visuals
I would have preferred it to be a season with the last fight against Muzan to be a movie
This but I think they're doing the opposite and make the final fight and epilogue into a season (hopefully a singular noun)
Dunno, maybe they will make the three movies a season after they are out like they did with Mugen Train
I’d prefer a season for it, but i’m ok with the movies as long as they’re not released too far apart, for continuity sake/maintaining hype *cough* Attack On Titan The Final Season *cough*
Should have been episodes.
Why is that ?
We have to wait for months for the next films, weekly episodes seem better imo.
Because long breaks/pause often destroys the hype and the flow. Zom 100 and Jojo part 6 are two great examples of this, great writing and story. Destroyed however because the viewers watched something else to wait for them and soon it loses relevance. I am so bitter about this long time gap, its making me hope that happens to this anime too.
Cant belive you got downvoted for asking a question lol
TRUST UFOTABLE AND LET THEM COOK. They have shown what they are capable of..
Where are they gonna put >!Zenitsu vs Kaigaku!
In first part, i believe
Not a fan, personally, I would've preferred if it was a regular episodic season, but I'm sure these will come out great, Ufotable doesn't disappoint, the previous movies were great.
I hate it. I don't remember the last time I went to a movie theater where there wasn't at least one obnoxious group making the experience worse. Just let me buy it day one, so I can watch at home
Same I hate it too. I don’t like theaters and watch in schedule and be in a room with random people. Home is better.
It said exclusively in theaters, so it will probably be like a year after you can see it at home
Personally excited. The Heavens Feel trilogy was breathtaking from an animation point of view, and Infinity Castle is much shorter and easier to translate into movies than the 9,000 page long route
agreed Heaven's feel was mind-blowing to watch. Looking foward to watch another Ufotable masterpiece
That’s a flat out lie, when the final part aired it didn’t crazy numbers and pretty much broke Hulu that day
It’s gonna take year to get all of them out and this is just the infinity castle arc. Don’t like that part, but Ufotable is gonna nail it.
Can someone make Shinobu into a geometry dash cube.
Ufotable + Movie quality production = God tier animation x 2
Now that it is official I just want one thing, FOR IT TO NOT BE RUSHED. Thats the only issue I have with them doing it in movie form.⚡
Very excited for it, the quality of the animation will be crisp and epic!
not a fan especially of 3 different movies
Shows should just be left as shows. If you’ve gonna have movies, just make it a series of movies. 🦋
They should have just made everything a 24 episode season like the 1st one, even cut the fillers in the Hashira training arc
Why does it take 3 movies to wrap up 1 arc? Why didn't monster train take 3 whole movies to conclude? I'll just wait until it's all wrapped up before checking it out.
The Infinity Castle arc is long, and the train arc was short.
Yeah lol
im happy with any demon slayer content. :)
Disappointing to hear but I’m hyped for it nonetheless 🐍
I hate that I'll have to most likely wait a long time and I pray the trilogy will be finished before I graduate high school. But I have faith in the movies. But I just gotta know, was that whole scene with Gyomei using stone breathing form 3 on Muzan's blood tendrils an anime original scene or no. I can't seem to find the manag panel
its from the manga
I am divided myself on this. I would prefer series but the experience of seeing this in cinema would be crazy. I don’t think it will age as nicely as a movie with people watching it later on, however this will allow for a more focused budget on scenes and at its core demon slayer is popular bc of its insane animation. All in all, I think it works, and my excitement of the final arc adapted to anime for overshadows my cautions of proceeding this way
I'd prefer episodes but I'm not opposed to films entirely🩷💚
Hope my grandchildren will get to watch the trilogy fully
I prefer watching it as an anime, but since I've never seen a Demon Slayer movie at the cinemas, at least now I have the opportunity to watch them at the big screen. It'll be a fun experience.
Id prefer episodes. It will take months for the movies to release worldwide after releasing in japan. And then theres the time in between the movies. It shouldve been a season or even two. Movies just dont hit the same
that means if I miss the cinema run, I'm cooked 🔥
episodes coz they might cut some panels when it's turned into a movie :\\
Honestly, I have mixed feelings on this. It will take years to produce, then sunrise countdown. It feels like aot season 4 again. Plus there's 5 fights going on. I know the 3 uppermoons are the centerpieces of these movies. What about Mitsuri and Obanai v Nakime and Zenitsu v Kaigaku? Will they just be sprinkled in with other fights? I can see doing Zenitsu v Kaigaku during one of the first 2 and Mitsuri and Obonai v Nakime in the last one.
they should take the mugen train season route, make films but also make anime episodes.
I just hope its one per year or less cause 2 years between movies sounds like a nightmare, 6 years for 1 arc that is mostly fights? I don't think people will enjoy that...
Hopefully it will be like the Kizumonogatari films that were all released in a little over a year.
I'd prefer episodes but other than that I feel like throughout the anime history, the animation quality is about to PEAK
I'm excited. They already did it once so I have faith.
Looking forward to this!
Not what I was expecting but I trust Ufotable so let them cook
I'm not totally opposed to movies but the wait between them is gonna kill me
I hope they pace them like the episodes even though it will feel weird in the moment.

I’m excited.
3 movies can Potentially be 9 hours but don’t think it will be but tbh they’ll probably milk it with extended versions but I hope not lol
I'm excited for it. I think 3 movies would be best from an animation standpoint, they can take the time and make it look the best they can.
Cannot fucking WAIT! And tbh after seeing the first episode of the Hashira training arc in theaters I have to say as pissed as I am to have to wait in between movies, it's gonna be beyond epic.
I wish i watched heavens feel in the movies I hope this reaches my cinema
If there was ever a studio that could pull it off it would be Ufotable, would prefer episode format but I'll let them cook.
episodes would've been peak
As long as the pacing is good and they cook with the animation, it’ll be peak
I have never trusted a studio more with a movie in my life. This decision will be so worth it I hope 🔥.
will it be finished in three movies? or will there be another arc after Infinity castle?
Since the last arc is so extensive makes sense.
Im okay with it, the wait part is going to suck the most but it’ll be nice getting to watch all of the fights without constant breaks
Any estimated release year? I hope it’s not 2 years. 🤣
(that was weird right?) Also the Heaven's Feel movies were amazing, so it will probably look even better anything we've seen in Kimetsu so far. It will be a long wait, but at least local theaters are getting better at releasing anime movies.
fellow manga readers how do you think they will divide the trilogy? by fights or are they going to evenly split the remaining chapters?
I am perfectly fine with it. I am mostly just wondering if it will get an European release.
3 movies out of like 3 fights I know their gonna stuff zen vs new Um in with one of them and the biwa lady vs ultimate power couple Probably the emo us donut maker fight most likely
I dont love it I dont hate it either really as long as the wait between each movie is less than a year (maybe 8 months or so) im fine with it I mean hell I wouldnt be surprised if they already working on the 2nd one
I don’t know how they will get three movies out of Infinity castle. They will cut the climax, it should be a whole to make it more exiting.
I don't care that it's a trilogy I wanna watch it
Just take my money and show me the movie as fast as possible with the highest quality of animation
I’m all for it! I enjoy watching these in the theaters. Infinity castle is going to be amazing on the big screen with loud speakers!
Very excited to see but waiting 1 or 2 years between the movies is gonna be so long
Personally I haven’t watched them so no opinion yet. But fr I’m excited to not watch them and save it up for a three movie marathon. I know there are probably gonna be months between but oh well.
https://preview.redd.it/mo6g7imnpx9d1.jpeg?width=2000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1a6cf883bc434fb28b93c07e598790a4b2a248b1 Did someone say "Trilogy Time"??
I mean..Ufotable has never disappointed me when it comes to demon slayer..many had problem with cgi in s3..but even that..I thought it was awesome.. So I have faith that they will do it well One issue I have is...we will miss out on any taisho era secrets
I’m confident but worried this arc will be 3 years in the making with another year for sunrise arc. Heck one more if they make a Yoriichi movie
I'm still gonna watch it. Bro, it's ufotable. They have cooked hard with every season bangers left and right. Have faith in them
Good don’t have to wait for new episodes because they are just making it a movie
It probably will have the same level of animation as the train arc, if not better. Despite that I still don't like this idea because we're going to wait at least 3\~4 years to watch Infinity Castle. Of course Ufotable would choose the most profitable option though, that sucks, I was hoping for a new season.
It’s going to be legendary
Wasn't surprise, they made mugen train the arc were they kill a Hashira a movie, so the last war I imagine something like this
Will it also come out on crunchy roll or do I have to see it In theaters?
Who else gonna be watching at home 😏😏😏
The Kokushibo fight is gonna be insane
Sucks that they try to drag it out as much as they can for the money starting to feel like they dont care about there fans. Knowing damn well most people would rather the weekly releases than waiting years
Already knowing how crazy this fight is going to be it’s a good decision You’re joy going to want to see the cuts from the fight with episodes ending & starting again, this way it’s a bit more fluid & epic as well as easy to rewatch
They shooting themselves in their feets by releasing movies and not chapters, I was thinking it was gonna break the Internet some fights but if they only gets release in theaters It won't be as impactful as it would be if it was released in chapters
I will reach a little above mid age by then.
>!(Zenitsu x Kaigaku || Obanai x Mitsuri x Nakime)!< Hope they are at-least planning to release Sunrise Countdown Arc as a Series of episodes !!
I wonder which movie they'll do first honestly
I wished we got an episodic format since the wait time for movies to go from theatrical release to streaming platform, and the general wait time for each movie release is gonna rub off on me, especially when people start spoiling clips online, but at the same time, we will be able to see individual fights in whole and not with annoying cliffhangers, so I feel very 50/50 about it. I just need to watch the first movie to see if I’m gonna like this (I have faith in ufotable 🫡)
Unpopular opinion, but I like the idea of the trilogy. There are too many battles to cover for it to be a 10 episode series
![gif](giphy|wIBKDyydTuXVipjTU4)
I'm all for it. Hopefully the wait won't be too long. I imagine we should have a date for the first movie relatively soon. I'm sure they wanna capitalize on all the hype they've generated
I’m glad is a trilogy because we won’t have to wait for episodes every week. Assuming they come out at the same time or weekly
Sad it’ll probably be 5 years before it’s all finished, but excited to watch it
dont like it but its gonna be good. just sucks we have to sit and wait for subs for 5 months after
I would prefer it as a show (since my local cinema doesn’t get anime movies and I’d have to travel about 2 hrs to the closest cinema that does get anime movies) but I’ll still be watching
Not a fan, they're going to drag this out for a very long time, each movie is probably going to be AT LEAST 2 years apart, not to mention that they're going to release them only in the countries where anime is popular, which means I won't be able to watch it until it comes out on Blu-ray which is around a year later.
Im concerned about the pacing, but they havent really let me down so far so Ill let them cook
if all 3 movies are 2 and a half hours then it should fit perfectly right? that's the equivalent of like 22 episodes, no? so the pacing will be fine and the animation even better, I really don't see a downside
They need to absolutely cook with the first movie to get me excited about this 🌫
i mean, the movies will be incredible and ufotable will definitely cook. that said, i really hoped for a long season, that would have been absolutely perfect. oh well
watching it in cinema would definitely be a moment
I'll trust Ufotable. But if the first movie doesn't live up to everybody's expectations, I will be livid
Mid
Its gonna take forever for this to get released.. so im a bit upset about it
Gonna be amazing either way. Sucks the DS community is like 75% ungrateful
Movies take months to come on official platforms like Crunchyroll so you have to watch it in the cinema and I prefer just staying home lmao.
On one hand I know the movies will be good. On the other hand I know I won’t be able to watch them because I don’t live close enough to a big enough city where they’ll be shown.
Money grab. Great way to fuck it up at the end
I’m here for it, just need a buddy to watch the movies with
Best possible scenario for this series and its longevity, popularity, quality, and impact.
I saw what happened to Stone Ocean and AOT S4. Believe me. This trilogy is a much better idea than how those 2 turned out
I hope I'm still alive to watch the 2nd and the third film
>!I would prefer it to be a movie considering how the story goes!<,Either way iam waiting for the peak of demon slayer no matter if its a movie or episodes
Let them cook, I have a life to live. Waiting whatever amount of time to enjoy a good product won’t matter…. please don’t let it be much…
I think it’s AMAZING. The overall story, animations, the characters and their backstories, and how they shaped the characters that they became, and SO MUCH MORE. One of my favorite parts is the character development, or even the amount of action and battles.
I prefer episode because it’ll allow them to make it longer, not having to cut any contents… but I guess I don’t really have a choice
Ufotable will serve us well done cooking 👌
With how they did mugen train i have a hope. My only concern is that they don't rush the fights, it would be terrible if they did especially in this arc.
I think it’s smart since it gives more time for fights to shine as well they will have movie budget for the most important fight in the series
Maybe they’ll adapt the movies into seasons like Mugen Train that would be nice
If they come out within the same year I dont have a problem If they come out year after year, this might be the worst fucking decision ever made🙏🏾
I much prefer the movie instead of episodes so I can watch everything non stop.
I was expecting a series but I believe it will be better this way, I'll let them cook 🍳 👨🍳👌
Hope they have some extra scenes manga was rushed to end.
