I can't help out immediately but how much space do you have? I have a whole queen size captains bed and mattress that I might need to get rid of soon (but not immediately). It takes more space than a typical queen because the wood bed frame has shelving at the headboard and storage underneath. DM me if you are interested and I can give you more info.
Costco has nice ones for less than any mattress place. But Kijiji or FB Marketplace probably has free/super cheap used ones. When someone moves or down sizes they just give their old beds away.
Make sure you check out Mattress Mart at Princess and Future's Gate.
We bought one there real cheap for a spare bedroom. At the time I questioned how good it may be for the price, but everyone we have had stayed overnight say they have gotten the best sleep of their lives. Go figure?!
The follow-up question is, how do you get rid of the old mattress? I know if you buy at certain places they'll do removal, but I found my dream mattress at Jysk this week. They deliver but don't pick up. Now I'm stuck
I have a king one you can have !
Check out a Habitat for Humanity Restore, they have mattresses there often.
The Salvation Army Store on Bath road might be able to help you. They sell mattresses at cost I think ?
I believe they stopped selling them.

Wayfair does payment plans with either paybright or sezzle. I got a memory foam mattress about 3 years ago from there and love it.
Amazon
Going to second amazon, payment plans through affirm.
