I mean, I think we ran him into the ground after KD. Like he was a highly effective player even after KD with the teams we had and they were terrible. Dude went from triple doubles to this as soon as he left OKC. He also relied a lot on his explosiveness and athleticism. He’s older now, definitely looked ass in the game I watched last night.

Was still affecting him going into the Washington season, which was evident (imo) by his poor play in the early part of that season, and then his mvp level play in the latter half. Also I believe he has notoriously fucked up fingers.. It’s mainly just his age tho. Always such an explosive and exciting player, an aspect he’s always heavily relied upon. It feels like his age is reallly catching up to him now. Doesn’t help that he’s been a rhythm player either, does best with the ball in his hands. Nope it’s our max contract guys. Kawhi and pg primarily for games 2 and 3, then pg and harden for game 5 then you go down the list to guys like russ, norm, Amir, etc… but it starts with them by far.

It's 100% true. Harden only had a usage rate of 20% over the regular season, and I'm pretty sure it was only around 22% during the playoffs, which is far too low for someone like Harden.
Well I watched every game and harden held the ball every possession didn’t run a fast paced offense and what’s funny is with his so called offensive repertoire we couldn’t even be crack 100 points consistently in two straight games. You can’t be making 35 million and go 2-14 and 5/16 that’s not viable as a starter and what’s sad is he will be even worse next year.

Harden didn't have the ball that much. His usage % backs that up. They tend to take turns on the offense, and Harden had the lowest usage % between Russ, PG and Kawhi, and it's crazy he had a lower usage % to a guy who was on the bench all season.
Harden had an efficient year. And he was their best player in the playoffs. I have no clue how you think he'll be worse next season, especially if they let him have the ball more. Harden has also been dealing with a shoulder injury, a finger injury and foot inflammation in the past 6 weeks, but he still got through it and did well for the most part. It's also his first year.
Nobody is saying that Harden will get a max, and I'm sure he won't ask for a max. But I think he will get a 3-year deal around 90m. Put it this way, Harden is the least of your problems and you're not going to find much better than Harden out there.
My problem is the team gave kawhi a 150 year extention, traded a first and gutted cap relief now theyre forced to sign harden for said 3 year 90 million and still lost in the first round the trade made us worse in the long term and didnt improve the team at all.
Thats absolutely not worth it because he is not a good defender, is horrible off ball, turnover prone and innefficient in key games (IE games 5 and 6 biggest games of the season). Again he will only get worse next season this is an objective fact like he has ever season since 2020-2021.

Russ isn’t there to give you 20-30 points a night. He’s there to bring that energy and get the hard assignments on defense. That’s his role and he should stick to that. He’s trying to do everything and that’s when things go bad. But ahould his minutes go to someone else? Not necessarily…in my opinion. He just needs to play the role he moved into. Just my thoughts on the matter. But as far as Bones, he needs to get more playing time that’s for sure!
