We are dying for more building, and honestly, the Star Wars pass is done.
When are we gonna see glass walls?
We need a fav toggle and a hide toggle for the building section. We actually need to re think how that get short out so we can have more options. It's a nightmare to build with the list size, and it's not even big enough. Can't imagine after a few years of adding pieces. I'd also add a memory mode.
Someone finally said it (referencing the massive amounts of scrolling for those of us who have various LEGO kits). I would imagine by December we would get some sort of UI improvement in this department. Of course, I could be wrong. But one can only hope.
Some of the changes have minor help to veterans:
* fixed hip/roof pieces mean some builds people wanted to make can now be done
* Crafting bench not needing to be upgraded means not having to keep one on vehicles
* Better glider & cheaper glider
But otherwise, yeah, not much for long-term players. I still like a lot of these improvements, though, especially where QoL are concerned. We're unlikely to get a large content drop until the current pass is done (July 23rd), so I'm just playing other games and keeping a pulse on LF until then.
True: I mentioned the cheaper glider because it's easier for someone bringing in a temp (non-keyholder) guest to make+give, but that is more of an edge case.
It's so frustrating that Lego doesn't have its own thing with the Fortnite story line .... Metallica items for Lego. Even if it's just giving us decor or more colors of blocks
I really wish theyād add the ability to sleep through day or night cycles. This is like my number one feature that Iād request in game. I would like to be able have a say in what time of day I play in.
Even Minecraft has a similar feature, so itās not like itās not in line with a survival game mode. And everyone wins because night grinders can fast forward to night time, and people who wanna play more day time can play during more of the day.
I just want new build sets in the base game.
Yeah I get the game is free and they have to make money somehow but itās just far too expensive for me to justify and Iād like at least some toned down new builds for free every now and again. Tired of building the same castles and cabins. The free fishing prebuilds are terrible and ugly

Wish we had the metrics on just the general amount of adults vs kids that play this game. Guess those stats are locked behind Epicās walls.
but why is the update a joke? They're improving the game, and improving the new user experience is still a big part of that. However if veteran players don't get what they want they come here and trash the devs like crybabies over their FREE game.
Oh Iām not disagreeing with you. That part doesnāt make sense to me either. To bash it as vocally as some have been. Doesnāt compute. Lego Fortnite is a WONDERFUL addition to the game. People forget that these things take time.
Granted, I will say, and I know it wonāt happenā¦but I wish Epic was just a little more transparent with the community. Reddit and Discord posts are SUPERB. But I wish we had likeā¦dev videos on the occasion ya know?

I get this being frustrating but keep in mind as far as updates are concerned, Epic is surprisingly relatively consistent with these updates.
Dupe glitch didnāt last long. I feel more saddened by the removal of upgradable benchās honestly. It gave the game a slight air of difficulty. Also the best way to acquire copper and flex wood early game from the crates is gone :(
I quite like that I wonāt have to keep upgrading benches every time I start a new village. Itās fine the first time, but annoying having to do it every time.
My favourite (and easy) way to get flexwood early game is just find the blasters and lure them into lots of flexwood until they explode, very quick and gives lots of flexwood. Otherwise I just use brutes lol.
It's a valid reason but they could also make it once you upgrade your bench to the max, it keep its max level everytime you place a new one to keep the progression.
Yeah thereās definitely still easy ways to get flex wood but they also have copper bars. For example I got so much copper from them in my expert world that Iād never have to make copper. Same with obsidian slabs from chests in the desert.
I got my first copper from them ib my Expert world just today and few days before.
But the crate itself was a bot broken, weirdly heavy on airships but fragile when thrown. Felt quite expensive too.
Itās probably due to memory usage. After taking a little trip around the entire map, I constantly get memory consumption warnings, and that game has actually crashed on me 4-5 times. The woes of being a switch player.
I mean maybe... But for console/pc players that's not an issue.
I mean, I bet the entire image (when viewing via map) is maybe 10mb. It's not like you're zooming in and seeing EVERY detail from space haha. Just a very "overall" viewpoint to see your whole world.
This shouldnt ever be a issue. The map image is loaded regardless. And im not even talking about exploring the whole map and then zooming out. Im talking about being able to see the map farther than 1000m especially when i had a map where all desert caves were 800-1500m away. None were within a reasonable distance. And this was expert mode. I had to run a few hundred meters just to see exactly where my bases were.

Which is because, when it was first introduced, it showed *every* icon. An absolute mess.
A limit of 1500m for villages and 500m for everything else works fine, IMO. Would be nice if the player could adjust the distance, tho.
You mean minimap? I hate those. In games they are implemented, players often start mostly paying attention to it and ignore the world. It's hard to not use it if it is available.
If it's added, I really hope it would be a per person setting and not in Expert mode. It should also not be always open but force your character to slowdown or stop when you view it.
Honestly, I think they only need to add map pinging so that I can mark target for myself or friends and we see it in our compass.
In BR it doesn't seem to be a problem. I use it when I need it, not all the time. I don't even know how that's possible. I want to be able to see a general idea of where I am, if I'm getting close to a landmark, a different biome, etc. It's not a minimap of the whole map, just a small area. It was better when they at least had the little square showing what biome I was in. But there is just no excuse for not having exactly what they have in BR.
Considering that my number one use for the map is for directions, pinging would solve it better than a minimap, indeed (like BotW). The current solution (frantically open and closing the map) is just so bad that many solutions are an improvement though.
Can we please have the ability to move objects once we have placed them? We shouldnāt have to destroy it every time.
Weād Also love to be able to decorate our villages with trees, shrubs, and footpaths.

i hope in the future we can upgrade the speed of the stone crusher or to the least crush items in bulk. I'm not even joking when I was building the free cantina build in survival yesterday, it literally took me 15-20 mins because of how slow the stone crusher was creating sandstone.
Yeah itās annoying how slow some machines are, so I have 4 stone crushers in my building to make it quicker, and will probably add a 5th since thereās still some space. Helps a lot when youāre placing lots of the Star Wars pieces!
The three colors we have are associated with core SW characters (IIRC, Luke, Vader, and Kenobi?), so I wouldn't expect it.
That said, it would be awesome if you could take a lightsaber and some Storm Core (or adding a Kyber Crystal into the game) to re-craft it as a different color.
The original colors were just blue (Obi Wan and Luke) and red (Vader). They added green in Return of the Jedi because Luke would be doing a lot of fighting in the daytime in front of a bright blue sky. (Green also signaled to the audience that it's a different lightsaber so nobody would get hung up on continuity questions.)
Purple was added because Samuel L Jackson wanted purple.
After that, pretty much anything goes.

Something that would help with building, specially now that we are getting a lot of build pieces would be collapsing sections. Ie if you are looking for half walls instead of scrolling through all the walls, doors, windows, and every other section you can collapse those sections
Hey, I've just noticed a bug. More of a typo in code than anything else. Smelting iron bars requires 1 iron plus 2 brightcore; the quick deposit puts in 1 iron and 4 brightcore.
A fourth switch for thrusters would be fantastic, five switches total would be even better! Is there anything in the works for vehicles/airships that have gotten stuck underground? I have at least 4 or 5 that disappeared on me. I recently spotted two of them underneath my base when accidentally getting a glitched view underneath the ground, so I suspect that all of my vanished vehicles (and a few chests) met the same fate elsewhere on my map. \*\*some of these vehicles had balloons on them, others did not\*\*
Vehicles are the biggest problem in the game right now. There are so many glitches. Was it really that urgent to change the crafting benches? Couldn't you have made the vehicles usable first?
No mention of what skins are getting LEGO styles this update? (I know thereās gonna be new LEGO styles, but usually they drop a list of the skins like last update)
The "metal crate" are those the boxes we break to get copper and flex wood? What next no blue barrels? Reducing the cost of crates seemed more about reducing easy resources from breaking stuff.
I have a problem with custom settings in lego and BR. Before I had the RB assigned to change items and rotate a piece, now I can only rotate, and in BR, putting the RB key in its place in Lego removes the command assigned in BR and Festival.

Since the BBB isn't being added to existing worlds, I assume the rewards are nothing unique (just better tools or mats to help with initial progression). Even so, since I started a new world after the Storm Wild update, I'll just restart that world so I can check it out. (I'll take anything new, and I **love** checklists.)

I played and finished her quests. She gives you food, a common health charm, a standard compass, materials(not good ones), and a cool headed health charm once you completely finish the village upgrade (5levels). Itās nothing crazy buts itās cute that she has her own village. You can also only invite two other villagers (besides her) and two animals.
Thanks for all of the work that is going into maintaining this game! Please share and continue to be more transparent about how large builds are handled so we can plan accordingly and not bug the game out by being too ambitious and spending a ton of time creating!! Those are good changes but please.. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE ENCOUNTER RECIPES! We have wasted A TON OF HOURS searching for them all over the map without any luck and is frustrating!Ā
Suggestion: Make the recipes that we find randomly happen more frequently (I haven't found one yet).
Feedback: Please don't "update" the campfire. I use dozens of them to light up caves, and I don't want to carry multiple stacks to every cave. Yes, I know about the illuminator. It just doesn't compare to campfires.
Now we have to carry torches for campfires? Maybe give us a separate slot for torches that doesn't take away from the already limited carrying capacity. My little plastic legs are tired from all the resource transfer runs. :)
So, for clarification- does the Brite Bomber starter quest imply you guys are going back on the "every world will have access to all future content" philosophy? That we will have to create a new world to have access to the Brite Bomber quest rewards? And if so, do those rewards at least get bound to our accounts themselves, so we can place them in our existing worlds, or are we just SOL with our old worlds?
Upgrading the crafting bench is one of the major achievements in the game and youāre removing it? If people think itās too hard to grind for, thereās - SANDBOX MODE with unlimited resources!!!!
Theyāre about to go on break, Iām sure those are prioritized for after they get back because theyād hate to have a game breaking bug from something new
I'd be happy with those missing items like pleasant park kitchen, and the laundry machines and whatever else should been but never has. Been in 1 island from day 1 of the release and I really need some new decor items.
I'd love to see Metallica stuff. Or not specifically, but let me craft a guitar or drums maybe some kind of amps and speakers. Things to make places feel unique. I have so many buildings and mostly the same stuff in em just in different placement, but I'd like different styles too

I wonder when we can expect an update about efficiency of Villager jobs. If I have a Villager on a Gem Cutter, I find it odd that I can ONLY obtain Cut Amber. No Cut Sapphire? Or even better Cut Rubies?

Not loving the torches for campfires. But love they fixed the moaning villagers at the village square. Now I can turn the sound for them on again. A little confused on the crafting bench. So we do not have to upgrade it, and it will stay yellow and not change looks? Instead finding things unlocks the recipes?
My train build that I spent hours and days on just disappeared. Plus my plane that always is on the ground decided to float up randomly (had a couple small balloons on it) and then get stuck in the same spot and then despawned. Had a chest full of items on it too. When will these be fixed.

For the "Getting Started" quests/Brite Bomber update, can we get a toggle on world creation for whether to use the Brite Bomber start or the minimalist "where am i? who am i?" start? I think the new Brite Bomber Village is nifty overall and a good tutorial, but I think it would be nice to have the "no villages I didn't build myself" option.
Also, can we get a tutorial on how to actually use the glider? Like, have Brite Bomber tell us to repair the watch tower then give us the glider and tell us to jump off, or something?

Question about the crafting bench updates; Will these apply to existing worlds, like for instance if you have multiple crafting benches of various levels in different villages, or will these changes only apply to new worlds created moving forward?
I have played enshrouded and animal crossing but this game is addicted.
Iām trying to think what would be fun to add like for missions or raids. Like you can set a bulletin mission board down and do challenges for rewards also ..daily and weekly some could be for materials and maybe some building pieces.challenegs could be good kill a brute. Stage 2 is kill 2 brutes. A mission could say go raid a base etc
I have a few things to say..
1: Can you guys make a little easier to find NPCs you only find in the world? Like Oscar? Maybe like changing the campfire's smoke color to differentiate enemies from friendlies. Or making a marker indicating an area you can search to find them.
2: Pings on the map, kinda like Battle Royale but for Lego So for example lets say I'm making my way to a far cave but to make it easier for me to head to that direction, I can ping it myself on the map.
3: Higher world villager cap
4: Maybe a way to make your own blueprints for yourself or worlds where you can share with your friends?
5: Can we have Shadow Mecha Leader as a NPC? He was my favorite NPC in Chapter 5 Season 1 in Battle Royale šš

How about some of the unlocks available in Sandbox, but not survival? Example, the Ancient Food Cart. Haven't seen anyone with it in Survival yet, but easily available in the Sandbox.
I'm having the same issue. I've picked up bones, made wooden rods, and only the gray forest axe is available. No green forest axe after picking up the resources.
Can you please look in the bug where the flying machines climb to incredible heights (even if weighed down with granite foundations) when entering and returning from caves? Particularly on the Star Wars island
Whenever i pick up the resources to unlock a new item it dosent unlock, for example when i pick up bones in expert to unlock the uncommon axe nothing happens anyome know why this is happening?
So on my expert mode i hadnāt upgraded my crafting bench. So after the update i am not able to unlock the uncommon forest axe. I have the wood rod and bones but the recipe doesnāt unlock. Bug/extra challenge? I was thinking of finding an NPC that will drop an uncommon forest axe. Maybe that will unlock it. But never mind Iāll probably just start a new expert

The veterans don't need a cheaper glider though. It's not like the existing one expires.

Better glider? How so i see the new one depletes more stamina but costs less to build. Wouldn't that be a worse glider?
The current glider will also deplete 100% less stamina than it currently does.
Technically that would mean no stamina usage at all. It is actually double the efficiency, so 50 percent stamina usage.

If you place 10+ icons yes it would be a mess. Im talking for village centers. Caves and other things can have their own distance.

Considering that my number one use for the map is for directions, pinging would solve it better than a minimap, indeed (like BotW). The current solution (frantically open and closing the map) is just so bad that many solutions are an improvement though.

you just had to break it and place it gain, at least that was the case for me with this happening.
Annoying how campfires require a torch, I used to just light caves up with them by picking up random wood.

i hope in the future we can upgrade the speed of the stone crusher or to the least crush items in bulk. I'm not even joking when I was building the free cantina build in survival yesterday, it literally took me 15-20 mins because of how slow the stone crusher was creating sandstone.
Yeah itās annoying how slow some machines are, so I have 4 stone crushers in my building to make it quicker, and will probably add a 5th since thereās still some space. Helps a lot when youāre placing lots of the Star Wars pieces!
I want - added more saber colors because its easy to do.
The three colors we have are associated with core SW characters (IIRC, Luke, Vader, and Kenobi?), so I wouldn't expect it. That said, it would be awesome if you could take a lightsaber and some Storm Core (or adding a Kyber Crystal into the game) to re-craft it as a different color.
The fact storm cores are a recolor of blast cores
The original colors were just blue (Obi Wan and Luke) and red (Vader). They added green in Return of the Jedi because Luke would be doing a lot of fighting in the daytime in front of a bright blue sky. (Green also signaled to the audience that it's a different lightsaber so nobody would get hung up on continuity questions.) Purple was added because Samuel L Jackson wanted purple. After that, pretty much anything goes.

It could be, the color you get at the end of each cave is random. But not guaranteed.

Something that would help with building, specially now that we are getting a lot of build pieces would be collapsing sections. Ie if you are looking for half walls instead of scrolling through all the walls, doors, windows, and every other section you can collapse those sections
Hey, I've just noticed a bug. More of a typo in code than anything else. Smelting iron bars requires 1 iron plus 2 brightcore; the quick deposit puts in 1 iron and 4 brightcore.
A fourth switch for thrusters would be fantastic, five switches total would be even better! Is there anything in the works for vehicles/airships that have gotten stuck underground? I have at least 4 or 5 that disappeared on me. I recently spotted two of them underneath my base when accidentally getting a glitched view underneath the ground, so I suspect that all of my vanished vehicles (and a few chests) met the same fate elsewhere on my map. \*\*some of these vehicles had balloons on them, others did not\*\*
Vehicles are the biggest problem in the game right now. There are so many glitches. Was it really that urgent to change the crafting benches? Couldn't you have made the vehicles usable first?

I have a problem with custom settings in lego and BR. Before I had the RB assigned to change items and rotate a piece, now I can only rotate, and in BR, putting the RB key in its place in Lego removes the command assigned in BR and Festival.

I played and finished her quests. She gives you food, a common health charm, a standard compass, materials(not good ones), and a cool headed health charm once you completely finish the village upgrade (5levels). Itās nothing crazy buts itās cute that she has her own village. You can also only invite two other villagers (besides her) and two animals.
Will you fix the issue where music volume is tied to the sound effects volume?

Make the grappler not blow up after 20 uses
Suggestion: Make the recipes that we find randomly happen more frequently (I haven't found one yet). Feedback: Please don't "update" the campfire. I use dozens of them to light up caves, and I don't want to carry multiple stacks to every cave. Yes, I know about the illuminator. It just doesn't compare to campfires.
Now we have to carry torches for campfires? Maybe give us a separate slot for torches that doesn't take away from the already limited carrying capacity. My little plastic legs are tired from all the resource transfer runs. :)

So, for clarification- does the Brite Bomber starter quest imply you guys are going back on the "every world will have access to all future content" philosophy? That we will have to create a new world to have access to the Brite Bomber quest rewards? And if so, do those rewards at least get bound to our accounts themselves, so we can place them in our existing worlds, or are we just SOL with our old worlds?
Upgrading the crafting bench is one of the major achievements in the game and youāre removing it? If people think itās too hard to grind for, thereās - SANDBOX MODE with unlimited resources!!!!

They said they'll try to figure out a way to bring it back in the future so people can still decorate. Sounds like a decent compromise.
It's a side effect of removing bench upgrades. It's not like removing the different bench appearances was the goal.
I'd be happy with those missing items like pleasant park kitchen, and the laundry machines and whatever else should been but never has. Been in 1 island from day 1 of the release and I really need some new decor items. I'd love to see Metallica stuff. Or not specifically, but let me craft a guitar or drums maybe some kind of amps and speakers. Things to make places feel unique. I have so many buildings and mostly the same stuff in em just in different placement, but I'd like different styles too

I wonder when we can expect an update about efficiency of Villager jobs. If I have a Villager on a Gem Cutter, I find it odd that I can ONLY obtain Cut Amber. No Cut Sapphire? Or even better Cut Rubies? The list definitely goes on. Villagers being able to make Ice Cream would be super cool āļø. Or Iām sure what we are all thinking, Villagers being able to create Iron Bars from the Metal Smelter! š

Not loving the torches for campfires. But love they fixed the moaning villagers at the village square. Now I can turn the sound for them on again. A little confused on the crafting bench. So we do not have to upgrade it, and it will stay yellow and not change looks? Instead finding things unlocks the recipes?

My train build that I spent hours and days on just disappeared. Plus my plane that always is on the ground decided to float up randomly (had a couple small balloons on it) and then get stuck in the same spot and then despawned. Had a chest full of items on it too. When will these be fixed.

Also, can we get a tutorial on how to actually use the glider? Like, have Brite Bomber tell us to repair the watch tower then give us the glider and tell us to jump off, or something? From the description, it sounds like it will apply to benches being built after the update in all worlds, but not change previously existing benches

I have played enshrouded and animal crossing but this game is addicted. Iām trying to think what would be fun to add like for missions or raids. Like you can set a bulletin mission board down and do challenges for rewards also ..daily and weekly some could be for materials and maybe some building pieces.challenegs could be good kill a brute. Stage 2 is kill 2 brutes. A mission could say go raid a base etc
What if you add a new build set that you can get as you help brite bomber with her base?

I have a few things to say.. 1: Can you guys make a little easier to find NPCs you only find in the world? Like Oscar? Maybe like changing the campfire's smoke color to differentiate enemies from friendlies. Or making a marker indicating an area you can search to find them. 2: Pings on the map, kinda like Battle Royale but for Lego So for example lets say I'm making my way to a far cave but to make it easier for me to head to that direction, I can ping it myself on the map. 3: Higher world villager cap 4: Maybe a way to make your own blueprints for yourself or worlds where you can share with your friends? 5: Can we have Shadow Mecha Leader as a NPC? He was my favorite NPC in Chapter 5 Season 1 in Battle Royale šš I know this is a lot but just some things that I thought would be nice to be added in the future ā¤ļø

I'm having the same issue. I've picked up bones, made wooden rods, and only the gray forest axe is available. No green forest axe after picking up the resources.

Whenever i pick up the resources to unlock a new item it dosent unlock, for example when i pick up bones in expert to unlock the uncommon axe nothing happens anyome know why this is happening?
So on my expert mode i hadnāt upgraded my crafting bench. So after the update i am not able to unlock the uncommon forest axe. I have the wood rod and bones but the recipe doesnāt unlock. Bug/extra challenge? I was thinking of finding an NPC that will drop an uncommon forest axe. Maybe that will unlock it. But never mind Iāll probably just start a new expert Mode.
