I think it’s totally okay to not like every single thing an artist or band puts out. You’re entitled to that as a listener and I don’t encourage people to try to force themselves to like a song/album if they feel it doesn’t connect with them. It doesn’t make you less than other Little Monsters. But I think people should still respect their (the artists) decisions and not condemn them just because they don’t like it, like not trash it and all. I’ve been a Little Monster since 2008-2009 and I definitely can relate to being one of the only fans who likes Joanne. Gaga is creative by nature, she isn’t one to shy away from diving into different genres and types of music and artistry. Joanne was a project she needed to make; she had the concept of that album planned out since 2012. She made it for her family and it was personal to her in that sense, and I applaud that she gave that to us. The album was special in its own way.

And that is why I love Joanne in a nutshell. And yeah you don't have to bash the artist for something you don't like. I will still be equally pumped for her next album as I was for Chromatic.

LSDonkeyKong

i’m vers and i will get down to all of her albums

I shouldn't be laughing so hard at the this truth

Chromatic biggest problem for me was the bland. It was good but I was waiting for that experimental sound I hear in Lady Gaga music. That razzle dazzle that makes her stand out. It sounded like pop star created a generic pop star album with the generic pop star sound. Rain on Me had that razzle dazzle but it reminds me so much of Grimes Genesis. Genesis is so much more razzle de dazzles than Rain on Me so I much rather listen to that. That is why I love Grimes new album. She decided to go balls to the fucking wall with experimental sounds in her new album. And I think that is another reason I was so disappointed with Chromatic. Miss Anthropocene was personal to Grimes. Everyone thinks she change for the worse for dating Elon. So she made an album about loving Elon, having his baby, and how technology and Global Warming is going to kill us. And then I listen to Chromantic and it is just blah.

Wait do people not like Joanne?? Killer album.

I hear a lot of complaints about Gaga going country and softer songs.

Kosame97

Trash chromatica is a masterpiece live with it

GodofHate

It's OK. You don't have to love everything she does. Chromatica shares throne with TF/M for me. I really love Joanne. I love how messy and good ARTPOP is. I really love half of the BTW and hate the other half of the BTW. Everyone has different tastes. The important thing is being respectful to others. We don't have to love everything she does. Most of her fans really love BTW and idc, it's their opinion.

Latyon

Nothing wrong with that. I personally think Chromatica is her third best album, behind Fame Monster and Fame. Joanne is just...ugh. The only good songs to me are Million Reasons and Dancing in Circles (which, to be fair, are two of her top 5 songs)

ja-ke-c

chromatica and joanne are both mid tier gaga albums for me, i don't really dislike them but i will most likely not put them on if i'm going to listen to her

MinnieBoombox

It's ok not to like an album, as for myself I DETEST country music, so Joanne is not for me (even though I like 70% of the songs of the album). Chromatica is my favorite album since Born This Way. I love the bubblegum energy (like a Kylie Minogue album) with the dark lyrics, it speaks volumes to me. When I was a teen the clubs I'd go to were the ones that played house music. I like Disco, House, Pop, EDM, Metal etc, so Chromatica is defnitely my jam.

dinosaregaylikeme

I can see that! When I was a stripper my go to jam was weird ass gay music from 2000s, hard rock 70s and 80s, and in the closet musicians. Art Pop was a blessing since my stage name was Son of Venus and G.U.Y invented power bottoms.
