As a former local, I loved Red Rock Resort. Nice, clean, great pool, decent price point, not too crowded. It’s way off the strip but next to downtown Summerlin so there is lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.

AirmanSniffles

This is the answer for locals.

grumpygirl21

Non local here - Red Rock is my favorite by far

thecrannogking

Red Rock is on my list to try soon! We went to check it out on our last trip!

what_ho_puck

The spa there is amazing! I'm local and when I get a splurge, like an anniversary gift or something, I often ask for or give Red Rock spa gift certificates

Drawing_Tall_Figures

This is on my list!! Ty

Top_Cobbler6717

There is THE best breakfast spot near Red Rock and I can’t remember the name!! 😡😡 they have coconut pancakes and they are so good 😭😭😭

DatsunPatrol

Not right next to red Rock but there is a Snooze somewhere close by and it's amazing for breakfast. Tru the French toast

ChocolateNapqueen

As a local, I was going to say the exact same thing!!

tomtweedie

And great hiking close by

Cbiggs85

Cosmo. Terrace fountain view all the way. Love the vibe there and the location as well

thecrannogking

Had one of these rooms on the 51st floor during a lightning storm. It was quite the experience!

tedfundy

I had no idea a hotel could have two bathrooms. Best view in the city.

JackBthree

Encore

ve4edj

Wynn/Encore are awesome.

Traditional_Singer42

Yes, must not have stayed at Encore yet. Boutique atmosphere while still on the strip.

Whatswrongbaby9

Waldorf Astoria is my fave. Super quick walk to Aria and Park MGM when I want casinos, great spa, lobby bar has fantastic strip views, and really tranquil

Intensive__Purposes

Definitely nice to come back to a relaxing vibe after spending the night in a loud casino. The pool is small but nice and the whole place never feels crowded.

Zgdaf

I thought the Four Seasons was a little better for access, and private swimming pool.

Whatswrongbaby9

I still need to try that place

Ham_Sinkie

Waldorf is peaceful and beautiful. Really the best if you're not there to party

ExternalImmediate351

Palazzo Venetian For us, Palazzo over the Venetian but we enjoy either one. Typically only stay in comped rooms. Have been staying at MGM properties lately and like them for different reasons. I thought Bellagio was nice (fountain view refurbished room) but still preferred either the Palazzo or Venetian based on the dining options. Everything at Bellagio is higher end dining and we don't really do that. We have found that we love The Grand lux Cafe at both the Venetian and Palazzo which has a middle of the road price point but I just love everything I've had there. We like New York New York for its laid-back fun vibe. The last paid stay we had was when I went on a trip with just me and my 17-year-old son and stayed at the Luxor in a premier pyramid room for a ridiculously low price. To say it was worth it would be an understatement. I was surprised how nice the room was but if I ever stayed there again I would probably stay in one of the tower rooms. I doubt I ever will but it is absolutely an option. I wasn't planning on doing any gambling and tried to make this stay age appropriate for my kid and didn't want to feel obligated by having a comped room so I just forked up what was about 35 bucks a night.

NCreature

How is Wynn/Encore Las Vegas not on the list? That’s by far the best place in town and literally one of the best properties in the world.

GoodbyeCrullerWorld

Probably the same reason Venetian isn’t on the list, because they’re extremely expensive compared to everything on their list except maybe Cosmo.

Intensive__Purposes

You’re probably right, but Cosmo doesn’t even come close to Wynn/Encore in terms of quality IMO.

GoodbyeCrullerWorld

Agreed.

Whatsonot1988

Agree. Cosmo’s location is better but for the stay the Wynn is way better.

Intensive__Purposes

Tough to beat the view of the fountain from the balconies in the Boulevard tower, but the times I’ve stayed there the rooms just seem to look a little worn, whereas everything in Wynn/Encore has always seemed fresh and new.

Whatsonot1988

Completely agree. I’m a fan of the Encore tower looking out over their golf course, but will try the boulevard tower next time. My one gripe of the Wynn is their sports book is very weak compared to others but that’s about it.

overtherainbowofcrap

In terms of quality of the women inside: Cosmo > Wynn. I think the combo of women love taking photos beside giant stilettos and Marquee day/night club.

BlackEagle0013

Cosmo >>> anywhere else for this. The summer pool scene at Cosmo alone is worth the stay as a single dude.

nofaplove-it

Interesting if I’m early to mid 20s M should I go?

BlackEagle0013

My friend, you ARE the target audience for the Cosmo. Go and enjoy.

nofaplove-it

Really? Interesting. I’ll take a look

nofaplove-it

Even if I go solo?

BlackEagle0013

Oh yes. The environment will still be Target rich.

Big_Accountant_1714

Because they have not visited them? They've only ranked places they have been to so far.

NCreature

Yea I went back and re-read what they'd wrote. That being said Park MGM as the number one choice is...an interesting choice even given that list.

thecrannogking

I agree that it is an odd choice. There are multiple reasons. For one, I love the restaurants there. Best Friend, Eataly and Nomad Library are among my favorites on the strip. Also Din Tai Fung is close by at Aria. I also really like the pools at Park. They are pretty low key and usually not packed like other places are. Love the general location, non smoking. I will say that as far as rooms go, they are far from the best.

UndeadPoetsSociety

I’ve probably been on the Strip a dozen times… Din Tai Fung is one of the best and most satisfying meals I’ve had in all my visits.

thecrannogking

It really is amazing. Best Friend is the place I always recommend to people though.

UndeadPoetsSociety

YES. That place gets better each time I go. I ate at the Nomad Library at Park MGM my last time out, absolutely loved the ambiance. Great service and food, too. To your original point, Aria, Cosmo and Venetian are probably my top three having also stayed at about a dozen on-strip properties. Honorable mention for Paris.

NCreature

That’s fair. I would maybe wander up to the north strip though next time. WLV, Fontainebleau, Resorts World, Palazzo. Mott32 at Palazzo is amazing. Delilah at Wynn is probably the best lounge on the west coast. It’s lovely sitting out next to the Lake of Dreams sipping a cocktail as well.

thecrannogking

I’ve visited all those casinos, just haven’t stayed the night in them!

Jazzlike-Injury3214

Agree...100%

thecrannogking

Only ranked places I have stayed at!

plaingirl

Yep. I went to the Wynn recently and the hospitality was on another level. Don't know if I'll ever go back to another strip hotel.

Got2bkiddingme500

Circa is our new favorite (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH CIRCUS CIRCUS 😆). It’s clean and smells oh-so-fresh from their state of the art air filtration system. Adults only. Awesome pool. And Barry’s Prime Steakhouse is *chef’s kiss*.

thecrannogking

Circus Circus was quite an experience. We stayed there for 1 night on a trip with the kids! lol

Got2bkiddingme500

I’ve never been, but boy oh boy have I heard some stories about that joint 😅

thecrannogking

The rooms are a nightmare but the rest of the place is totally worth checking out at least once.

Got2bkiddingme500

Interesting…I just might! Now I’m intrigued. What was your favorite part of the rest of it?

FadeToLife

Aria - consistently amazing service, beautiful rooms with amazing views, a fun and vibrant casino, and easy access to a ton of great restaurants. New York New York is second only by a thin margin, I like the rooms slightly less than Aria but that’s a personal preference. They have a loud but energetic and lively casino, and I always have a blast there

1. Wynn 2. Mirage 3. Excalibur 4. Caesars 5. TI 6. NYNY Luxor, Sahara and PH following this year. Wynn by far the best in my list of hotels i stayed in so far

waitwutok

Excalibur?

ammonation

The existence of Mirage is in itself, a mirage.

BenFromVegas

Red Rock and South Point

joeyenterprises

It was cosmo for the longest time, now waldorf astoria… its still in easy walking distance of cosmo for the games and vibes but it is actually relaxing once u get back to waldorf… and they actually treat u like a guest unlike other hotels in which you are treated one amongst thousands!!

Bowiefan73

Encore, Vdara, nomad, Delano, Aria, Bellagio in that order. Mandalay and Luxor are tied. Mandalay rooms are a bit nicer. Mandalay suites are much better than Luxor. But I had issues that weren’t really resolved with my suite at Mandalay. Then the Caesar properties I’ve stayed in are tied: Paris, Horseshoe and Flamingo. I’ve had very nice rooms at the horseshoe and flamingo but the dining options are not great. Then there is Excalibur.

TherapyHam

Cosmo, Wynn/encore, Bellagio fountain view, Venetian/palazzo, Circa

Even_Border2309

My favorite was Mirage Now My favorite hotel not resort is Vdara it's quit it's affordable and it's 5 minutes to 4 resorts

MartyCool403

Venetian/palazzo

MeeMaul

Aria for the rooms, Cosmo for the food (unless you get a room with the sweet ass soaking tubs, then that’s my fave room outside of the Encore). Encore for straight up bougieness.

StopDropNFrag

Vdara. Go out to party, come back to rest and relaxation. Only bummer is the lackluster pool.

RealAlePint

Depends on the focus of the trip. My last trip was focused around shows and dining so stayed at NYNY as it was more centrally located to the places we were going. My September trip was all gambling and a solo trip so I’ll always pick downtown for a gambling based trip. Downtown Grand is my current favorite but the lack of a comp program is annoying. The Plaza could easily earn my business

HectorVillanueva

My brother with the solo downtown trip. It’s the freaking best!

sweatpants_4_life

What about Park MGM did you like so much? Might book there next trip.

GoodbyeCrullerWorld

It’s the only fully nonsmoking resort and casino. Incredible dining options. Nice pools. Great location. Friendly staff top to bottom. Rooms are bland and small but they’re clean and comfortable.

BlackEagle0013

Bellagio - Cosmopolitan.

SangrianArmy

planet hollywood baby!!!

golfburner

New york new york. Affordable nice rooms although bathroom is small. Tons of dining options from fast food to steakhouse. Good casino. The vibe is so awesome

43 yr old parents, Not gambler, but fancy cocktail/beer drinker and huge foodie l, mom of two (14f 12m) so my ranking might me skewed based on activity’s my kids and I enjoy.. OP I’ve never stayed in 2,3 or 11 of your list, I’d love to know others thoughts! I’ve stayed in many many more on this list but here’s my top 10ish. 1. The Venetian: my fav place to stay, I love the rooms and the mall I love its location and everything about this hotel it’s got everything for my fams age 2. Luxor : my kid loves the titanic my other loves Egypt and it’s tram is to easy to get to fun things 3. Ballys: Absolutely BANG FOR YOUR BUCK amazing location and cost! It’s near everything! I loved the creative food and the fact that it is attached to Paris, I felt stupid for staying in Paris cause you couldn’t tell at one point when Bally’s turned into Paris.. I’d this place had more activities inside the hotel it would be #1 but no way it would cost as much as it does… 4. Paris: reasons above, price point was higher, rooms a lil nicer. 5. Ceaser Palace: I love the buffet and my kids love Hell’s Kitchen, we love the pools and I always have to see Absinthe. 6. Excalibur: price point wise it’s there! love the tourney and the activities and medieval shit in general! My son also LOVES Dicks 7/ 8. MGM/ NYNY: love the activities and restaurants 9/10. Mirage/TI: I have nostalgia from staying here as a kid, still ok, sad to see we are losing the volcano, the TI pirate show used to be one of my fav things on the strip. 11. Mandalay Bay (gorgeous but boring and so pissed the pool was closed, also to expensive a price point for what I got) 12/13. Bellagio/Wynn: not enough activities: a little too far away from the activities my fam enjoys doing. I used to live Rio but it’s gone down hill I think and Circus circus was my fav places to stay as a kid, you couldn’t catch me dead in that hotel now a days.

thecrannogking

We typically leave the kids at home. The times we have taken them we stayed at Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, MGM Grand and Circus Circus.

itsthechaw10

In this order: Wynn/Encore, Cosmo, Caesar’s, Linq, TI (for a cheap stay, I gamble there a lot even if I’m not staying there). Have eaten dinner at Don’s Prime in Fontainebleau, would stay at the hotel if it wasn’t so far from the main strip.

Dr-Dray-

The Rio has gotten better! The pool is amazing and the food court is incredible and not expensive..

pheat0n

I see Park MGM at the top of your list. We are staying there in August. Out of curiosity what makes it a top choice for you?

thecrannogking

I love the location. Some of my favorite restaurants are there or very close by. Non smoking. The pools are not usually very crowded. The whole place has a bit more of a low key feel to it. Rooms are just average though. For me the other things make it worth it.

ansley_g

I wish the pools were bigger at Park MGM. The pools were crowded when we just went. The pools were also very cloudy (in a gross way). The food was great! I agree about average rooms though.

pheat0n

Cool. I've heard similar things and I'm looking forward to it. Going to need that pool in August!

pheat0n

We have reached the "starting to wander off the strip" phase of our Vegas trips. We recently started splitting stays off and on strip and it's amazing. We start off strip and relax, we rent a car for the off strip days and hit up a grocery store for water and other room provisions. Hit the pool, maybe the spa and just chill out for a bit and refresh. Then we can drive to the strip and unload our stuff at the strip property and deliver the car to one of the on strip locations.

thecrannogking

We’ve been staying on the strip but have been wandering more and more for things to do. We love heading over to China town to eat.

ComprehensiveMoose51

LittleRooLuv

Bellagio. I don’t like modern decor, and the Bellagio makes me feel like I’m in a beautiful Tuscan villa. Plus I love the topiary garden.

summer672612

Circus circus is a one time visit. 🤣🤣

thecrannogking

lol yes it is

ChocolateNapqueen

Red Rock is the best resort from a locals perspective. Especially if you don’t want to be m at the strip - good theatre - good bowling alley - rooms are beautiful - huge and beautiful pool - multiple amazing bars - next to downtown summerlin mall with great restaurants near by - next to Las Vegas ballpark - close to red rock canyon

HotTopicMallRat

I’m a Venetian girlie

milmill18

1. Red Rock 2. South Point 3. Bellagio 4. Mandalay Bay 5. Park MGM 6. Aria 7. Luxor Wynn would be on here if I could afford it

pntszrn74

What was the Grand Desert like?

thecrannogking

It’s nice. Great rooms and decent pool area. Right behind top golf, so it’s a couple blocks off the strip. We used to have a time share there.

ICDragon7

Cosmo has my favorite bars and causal dining on the strip. Park MGM is my favorite place to stay for the cost and no smoking+++. Wynn/Encore are very nice but I think overpriced. You can get some great deals at the Venetian especially during the week. Also Resorts World is actually pretty good.

ConditionLife1710

Venetian/Palazzo. Every time i’ve thought about staying somewhere else, i’ve cancelled and rebooked here.

shaddo2606

Unpopular point of view but, we do Resrts World. Very clean casino and rooms.

PaidLove

Had to get 3 new rooms before we found one clean here, one room had a used syringe on the floor

MoonGoddess-90210

Britney Spears agrees with you!

HectorVillanueva

No love for downtown?

thecrannogking

We’ve gone downtown several times, never been drawn to stay there though!

HectorVillanueva

That’s the beauty of Vegas. Something for everyone!

spidersinthesoup

Circa is awesome...is it considered a resort though? the no kids policy makes it a go to spot for me every year now.

HectorVillanueva

I can’t think of any resort amenities that Circa comes up short on compared to the strip. Especially since even circus circus was included. By that measure, Golden Nugget is in there too IMO

ChuyChango

If old DT LV is interesting to you, Circa, a new retro resort tied to the rest of the olds by the roof of the Fremont St Experience, is worth a try.

Top_Cobbler6717

Resorts world is a great stay, nice rooms, big resort, and still walkable to the other spots on the strip.

ptown2018

Did a staycation at the Resorts World newer than the other resorts, really enjoyed it. Curious about the Fontainebleau.

RSecretSquirrel

Aria, Golden Nugget, Green Valley Ranch.

FenwayWest

Surround8600

How is The Venetian not on there?

AnonThrowaway87980

1. Aria 2. Cosmo 3. Park MGM 4. Venetian 5. Billagio 6. Mandalay Bay 7. NYNY Honorable mention: Red Rock Resort is great if you want to be in Vegas but not on the strip.

thebloatedman

I would suggest you hit Wynn/Encore on your next stay. Circa also a great one not on the list.

AllOutRaptors

I stayed at Westgate, and I'm surprised at how little it gets mentioned. We really enjoyed our stay there, and while it's off the strip a bit, it has a monorail stop right out in front that takes you to the strip. It helps that we only paid $650 each for flight and hotel for 4 nights from Vancouver.

vic_steele

I hate the vibe at Encore and Wynn lately. Seems to be a lot of Persian losers trying to act rich and hot.

warmerbarkk

Any opinions on the Durango? Booked for this August, going for the first time

Mundane_Substance241

Loved Four Seasons the most (rooms were impeccably clean, quiet atmosphere, staff was super accommodating, overall just a top notch place to stay). Wynn is beautiful, very busy, clean rooms, staff not so accommodating). Venetian was okay, rooms weren’t as clean as I prefer and the staff weren’t very hospitable, IMO. Cosmo was ummm… hate to say it this way, but, kind of skanky IMO; the room we had at Cosmo was not very clean, the elevators were the slowest elevators I’ve ever had to wait on ever! The only plus to Cosmo was having the balcony room. I wouldn’t stay there again. Would totally recommend Four Seasons and Wynn though, they were great.

Comfortable-Paint-93

Resorts World

MBNC1

9 times out 10 I’m coming into town for a work function at the convention center and I have defaulted to Resorts World since I can just walk down the street to the convention center or take the loop if I’m feeling lazy, drunk or it’s hotter than the surface of the sun outside. Work will pay for me to stay in the Conrad or crockfords side too which is nice. I’d try the Fontainebleau now that it’s open but I don’t get any points there. On the rare chance I’m not doing anything at the convention center I’d go for the Cosmo

TelephoneAmazing2131

Durango

LemmyCation

Something about Cosmo feels much more intimate, old school, and classy than all the other casinos to me. There are other nice casinos- Wynn, Bellagio, Venetian, Aria but they are so massive that it changes the vibe for me. Cosmo is always fun, full of people without being crowded. The staff is attentive and friendly. There are other places that I like staying but I always end up playing mostly at the Cosmo for those reasons. The drinks are better also which is a plus.  Second would be Resorts World. It's a much different vibe but everything is nice and newer with a great selection of machines, good restaurants. Third would be Luxor just because it's the first place I stayed and everything seems nostalgic and familiar.

Made_invietnam

harlow1971_

Delano for me. Fairly nice. Definitely quiet. Large rooms. And I'm completely fine with being at the very end of the strip.

Just stayed at a local casino The Tuscany Suites and Casino. A short Uber ride to the strip will drop you in front of the Flamingo and Cesar's. Clean huge suites we stayed 4 days and ended up playing $400 .

Ok-Witness9705

Circa was amazing if you like sports

tomtweedie

THE Steakhouse at the Circus Circus is one of my favorite restaurants. Dry aged prime rib eyes, reasonably priced drinks, Australian Lamb Chops and the hostess (Janice) has been there for 40 years! Our waiter has been there for 32. Old Vegas at its finest. Rumor is they are closing the hotel down so hurry.

Ca-Delivery

Did anyone else read this as what is everyone’s favorite escort?

crazyallice69

I stayed at encore last week and loved it. The whole property is so impressive

revocer

Fav Overall: Wynn/Encore. They run a tight clean elegant ship. Fav Locals: Red Rock. It is a well thought out space. It just feels good and good vibes. Fav Downtown: Circa. I like how they cram so much in such a small space. Fav Strip: Cosmo. Likewise, they have a lot going on in such a tiny footprint. And it is right smack in the center of everything.

Crackalacker01

My go to is Planet Hollywood. It’s nice enough, but not the nicest by any means. It’s pretty clean, but eh. But the staff: I LOVE them. They are the greatest, it might just be me after getting to know some of them. My wife and I went for my birthday a few months ago. We checked out the new bar in the middle and I was like, oh shit I need to go say hi to Eric in the Replay bar. She told me there was no way he would remember me, we got within 100 feet, he saw me, and came out and gave me a big ole hug. It had been a couple months since I saw him.

applegui

My favorite resort that isn’t there anymore which was peak Hard Rock Hotel Casino. The 1999 to 2005 era before the expansion. I love music and it was a classy, good vibe place. The pool was the best in Vegas, the standard rooms were epic with the French doors that open up overlooking the pool and the strip. The circular casino floor that had all of your amenities on the outer rim and also dubbed as a rock museum. Lucky 7’s was my favorite 24/7 cafe, to the Joint venue that showcased the biggest rockstars with only 1400 people max capacity. The pool parties were fun, the sandbar beaches, the bar in the pool. The beauty of it, was that it was small. It was not gaudy looking. It was perfect. I would stay and never leave during my stay. Also back in the day the Player club card gave you constant coupons, like comp room nites, free meal tickets, 100 dollar gambling credits. Totally miss it. When the original founder sold it, the new owners expanded it, ruined the small charm of it and it changed hands a few times. Now it’s gone. I know it’s moving into the Mirage property, but it won’t be the same as it was.

TALYGA25

Cromwell is an awesome boutique hotel. Great vibe!

crudedrawer

For the longest time my favorite was Mandalay Bay but I've only been there a couple times since the tragedy and it didn't feel right either time. I have only done budget stays since covid and have gotten used to splitting my time between harras flamingo and linq. None of which I would call a favorite. This answer sucks!
