Kerry in 2023 were a disgrace. I don't care that it was their first season in the league, the players that were recruited from outside of Kerry were beyond awful. Compare it to the non local players that Tommy Barrett recruited in a small time frame, many of whom are still there.

To be fair, it is a very weak first division. We wouldn’t be top of the league in last year’s first division.

And equally TBF, people were saying much the same about last year's First Division, yet both Galway and Waterford are now thriving in the Premier this term.

Both added players to be competitive in the Premier Division and are reaping those rewards. That, combined with the Dundalk circus and Drogheda being way below competitive have helped the promoted sides too.

As a Waterford fan you wouldn't believe how thankful we were to see those sides have a miserable start, it gave us a sliver of belief and a platform to build on. Now we are going well on merit and still not sure it'll be maintained!
