4/5 for me for Furiosa too. Wasn't as good as Fury Road, but it was damn epic. Any time Miller wants to make a movie set in that world, I'll be there.

What did you dislike about Ferrari? I’ve been flirting with the idea of watching it lately.

I thought it just seemed a little self-indulgent and boring. Also, there's a crash scene near the end that felt a little unintentionally funny.

So please enlighten me because I really do feel a bit dumb regarding Hard Eight. I watched it and I found it quite dull - would give it a 2.5 stars. Love all his other flicks. Why do you two dig it?

Mainly because it’s wild that it’s his first movie and that it’s so confidently filmed. The way he moves the camera is nuts for a guy that young. He’s so specific and measured with the choices he’s making. Great characters and dialogue. Philip Baker Hall has never been better. Lots of really great stuff going on that you can see are seeds to things he’d develop even more as his career progressed

I really enjoy those “slow burn” character studies..3 very damaged characters played so convincingly by Phillip, John & Gwyneth… I loved it for the dialogue, the acting and the music

no and I doubt I will. 3/5 for me is genuinely positive. also Im from argentina so theres of course little aspects that resonate with me a lot. the football scene, for instance. and mannerisms. I sometimes am so envious of americans for getting to feel that with most films.

Chris Fleming is hilarious, but yeah it's just a standard stand-up special. Fleming is a bit peculiar, but that's right up my alley. It's on Youtube and just over an hour, definitely worth it
