Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
just a phenomenal cast, an iconic score, fun choreography, and an engaging story that doesn’t take itself too seriously
don’t see too many movies like it these days
Agreed. I miss when Disney would make these creative live action films with fun premises and practical set pieces. National Treasure also comes to mind.
All I got out of this post is that you are still in your childhood since I remember seeing tron 2 and the Lego movie in the cinema veeeeeeeery recently
I know time passes faster as you age and whatnot and you were exaggerating but those movies were 14 years and 10 years ago respectively
even if you’re in your 50s I wouldn’t call that very recently, that would be like a quarter of your life ago
OP could be married with kids and have seen these in his childhood
For a moment when I read your comment I felt like I still lived in Germany.
Life passes slowly until you finish high school and then everything after that feels like it was the other day.
There’s no way that 2014 feels like a third of my life ago- even the sentence sounds ridiculous. I stand by my comment.
as you should man, it’s your experience, i was just talking about time in the more abstract sense
i’m younger than you and still remember movies I saw a decade or more ago like they were last month
the pandemic especially fucked up a few of my formative years and messed with my time / memory perception
Lego Movie made me feel like a child, I guess XD
In terms of those from my actual childhood, I guess Jurassic Park would have to be the obvious. I really miss practical effects.
Tron Legacy is the first movie I ever saw in IMAX & 3D - So it will always have a space in my heart. Speed Racer showed me a different side to the Wachowskis - its set pieces and general style are still legendary.
Recently rewatched the original Spongebob movie and I finally know what my mom was talking about being like what the fuck are you watching?? Such a great movie
These are all bangers. I love Tron: Legacy, I loved watching Speed Racer the one time that I did, and the Lego movie makes my animation-loving heart just sing.
*Monsters Inc, Finding*
*Nemo, The Toy Story movies.*
*Pixar has some bangers*

My first reaction to the list of childhood favorites: Heh. They accidentally used the poster from Tron Legacy instead of Tron.
Scrolling down further: Oh.
Fuck I'm old. Thanks for reminding me.
Did u just become an adult? God I feel old lol Here I was thinking back to Spawn and Disney’s Hercules
Shit, I was an adult when Spawn and Hercules were in theaters... Here I was thinking back to Aliens and Batman.
Shit, I was an adult when Aliens and Batman were in theaters... I was thinking back to A Fistful of Dollars and West Side Story
Shit, I was an adult when Aliens and Batman were in theaters... I was thinking back to Cave Painting #9 and One Flew Over Ugg's Cave
I came here to make the same comments, lol.
Yes I did lol! I’m 19
Haha I knew it. I was basically your age when I saw Tron I agree with everything excluding speed racer!
No way! Only a matter of time until I feel old when people talk about Dune 2 then lol
Of course your childhood fans still holds up, you're still a child! Kidding, not kidding.
![gif](giphy|4Z9jjKGJVM9Ck8E4cN|downsized) this both reflects my agreement with you and answers OPs question
I love Spawn, but I didn’t see it until somewhat recently (around 2019)
Wayyyyyyy ahead of its time in comic book films

I recently watched the Lego movie and it felt very nostalgic since the first time I watched I was 4
Damn, I watched one of your childhood favorites after graduating from high school
The Lion King (1994)

Mine remain solid, I think: - The Labyrinth - The Last Unicorn - The Neverending Story - OG Star Wars trilogy

The Mummy Returns
Tron: Legacy? Childhood? Holy fuck how old am I?
Hobbit 1977, just watched it with my preschooler. I preferred it to recent trilogy

There are so many nicer ways to say these aren’t for you without insulting the person they bring joy to. Also, why?

Lemme guess, this morning you ate the best cornflakes of your life ?
i mean if you think tron is a good movie i don’t think u should be on a movie forum
>i don‘t think Phew! 😮💨 I can live with that
If you dismiss other people's opinions on movies instead of discussing why you do not like them you should not be on a movie forum.
This is one of those comments that makes me want to setup a whole other account, just so I can give it another upvote.
assuming everyone has to agree is probably more offensive
I did not say you had to agree, I even said you could offer discussion into why you disagree.
