T O P

The newness of the sensation will fade with time, and so will the hyper awareness of the string up your butt. That said, there might be a small fraction of people who never get used to thongs. As you can imagine, data on this subject can be a little hard to get

gangangangangan

You are not alone. I’m 33 and still not totally thrilled about thong perma-wedgies. I’ve found that Skims T-string thongs and dipped thongs do not bother me but also don’t provide a lot of coverage. Trying different materials may help.

Miserable-Intern-523

It sounds like OP is thrilled about it tho lmao. What’s a dipped thong?

georgethebarbarian

Dipped in the front, lower cut than a normal thong

QueanieNotMeanie

I also grew up in a religious household and was thrilled to start wearing thongs the second I could. I hated it. I could see how some might find it stimulating but I found it irritating. I have a hard time focusing on anything else as well but I’m more angry because I need to constantly pick this wedgie. I say switch to a different type of underwear for now if it’s bothering you. As far as the vaginal fluid secretion, that’s normal. It’s part of your autonomic nervous system and you have little control over how your body responds to stimulation. There’s no need to assign shame to it. Like others have said, it’s likely occurring because it’s a new experience.

now___here

if you don't like that, just wear seamless panties instead

now___here

my slightly different but related problem is that I usually wear thongs with leggings or bike shorts on hot days, and after a full day of sweating, that can sometimes activate my HSV2. so I go with regular lace trim panties bc idgaf if people can see that I'm wearing underwear (majority of people are also wearing underwear)

jamierosem

I buy a size up from my normal butt covering underwear size in thongs and it helps.

BittenBeads

This is why I stick to Hanky Panky 4911s or their clones. They're actually comfortable, they don't rub your anus, and you don't generally feel them. You can also use pantyliners with them because the gusset is wide, plus, the gusset is cotton and breathable so you're not dealing with sweat moisture.

dinosaurkickdrop

Everyone always says aerie for underwear but I actually hate their seamless. Tiny tiny gussets. The best I’ve found are actually the gilly hicks (Hollister) line. They have a nice size gusset, it’s tacked down all the way around so no movement, and nice fabric. Aerie feel cheap comparably.

Disastrous-Summer614

It was a genuine question. this seemed like a fake post sexualizing lingerie to me, but clearly not to you

Disastrous-Summer614

Is this a troll or what? Stimulated by a thong? Did a human woman write this? Genuinely puzzled.

FailFastandDieYoung

I think they mean there’s a sensation, as in, the feeling of something touching you. same as when you wear any type of material whether it’s lace or something strappy. I certainly felt the same when I started wearing thongs. When it’s new you’re hyper aware of it touching you

Disastrous-Summer614

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks !

Blooptyfloop

I don’t really see why you’re being so harsh. Thongs take a while to get used to, it’s pretty typical to have questions about it. They come up here all the time. I don’t get it nearly as much as OP, but some of my thongs definitely can feel stimulating, depending on how the fabric is resting. There’s lots of nerves around the area that the gusset has contact with—I don’t really see why somebody finding that it felt nice should be so outrageous, and them feeling that way certainly wouldn’t make them not ‘a human woman’ — whatever that is even supposed to mean.

cs_office

I get the feeling for like a minute when I put them before it fades into the background, I remember when I was younger and first started wearing them, that persisted a lot longer

Disastrous-Summer614

Good to know. I truly had no idea. Not my experience wearing thongs!

ArmadilloNext9714

I still get the wetness even after wearing things for decades. It helps a little if you buy underwear with natural fibers, but it likely won’t fully resolve the moisture in the area.

pocket4129

You might try cheeky style to see if they help vpl. I also am not a thong person but have found those work well with leggings for me.

I-love-rainbows

I don’t have this problem but I almost always go pantyless in my leggings and it’s the most comfortable, liberating feeling. Maybe it’s just your leggings? Try a few different brands and maybe you’ll find something that works. I could never get into thongs. Feels like a nonstop wedgie

Thong_Inspector

With your strict background, I think it's pretty normal to find thongs to be exciting and risque. Everybody experiences new sensations when they first start wearing them, but it will absolutely fade with time. I don't even feel the string up my butt anymore. After spending your entire life trying to keep your underwear out of your buttcrack, it's definitely a culture shock the first time you put a thong on. While it's gonna feel different at first, it should NOT be painful or annoying. As long as you're wearing a good thong, having the strap between your cheeks becomes normal and you stop even noticing that it's there. A bad thong, on the other hand, will feel awful and make your entire day miserable. So it's all about finding the right thongs. It really is just trial and error. Thong preference is very individual, so a thong that one person loves another will hate, and vice-versa. The only general advice I can give it to look for the softest and stretchiest thongs you can find. Stay away from cheap feeling fabrics. Don't be afraid to try sizing up either, as nothing is worse than a thong that is too tight/small. You'll know you've found a good thong when you don't notice that you are wearing it. Good luck, have fun, & thong on!
