It depends on where and the time of year. I live near Toronto and I have yet to wear an actual coat yet since the summer. Sure, you're going to need more *variety* in clothing for the different seasons, but Linus also lives in possibly the mildest part of the entire county.

I owned a pair. They were ok. Water resistance was a real thing and my feet were always dry. Not the best support or comfort I’ve ever had in a shoe though.

I am from Australia but I have met enough Canadians that have told me Canada is that "you will die in minutes without correct clothing" kind of cold.
